it's odd how you start to remember things from twenty to thirty years ago. It's the short-term memory I have trouble with 🙃🤣 Keep notes to remember each adjustment that you make. Do them one at a time, then test as you go. One more thing to keep in mind, work on one area of the car at a time, don't jump around. That just adds confusion which leads to frustration. Great video Marty🐷🤙🏻
Great looking car, and great running too by the time you'd finished with it and consistent too, which is partly a good chassis and mostly the good driver :)
Thanks! After hours and hours of driving the things, I figured out the trick of driving slot its on my tight track. Its corner speed and smooth throttle, don't shut off for corners, but back off a little. The slightest twitch of the throttle in corner and the car will go sailing who knows where. Another 500 laps and it will go better. If it looks slow its going fast, if its jetting from corner to corner like a dragster? Its going slow.
Nice video! That car did run great. I have a Slot It Lola and put Slot it tungsten under rear axle, thought it would add grip but when the rear steps out it often deslots. Maybe i should try to remove the weight in the rear and add some weight right behind the guide like you did.
Paul, I find that moving the weight forward tends to calm the rear end down a little bit.. that is the fun in tuning.. move the weight.. run some laps.. better or worse? Move the weight again.. then do it again.. and again.. and again 😂
Nice tune! I can't seem to get enough GrpC cars myself...LOL. I get the 'hot car' chatter about the Jag, but I love my Mazda 787b (Renown #55) & Porsche 956c (Kenwood #21), both Podium cars at Hobbit Racing Park. Shoot, I still have to tune my Jag (Castrol #60)...3 years later. Some cars love the weight under the rear axle, near the rear...and some do not. Looks like that one came out to your liking. Great Livery too!
Nice laps, great looking livery, Are you moving away from magnets altogether? Btw, in case someone is looking for it, that’s a ScaleAuto guide, not Sloting Plus. Great guides imho.
Great catch!! Thanks Joseph! Well.. I am sort of addicted to driving no mag at the moment.. I think that is because I am seeing real improvement in my driving and my tuning. We still race magnets with digital..
Nice video Marty. If you were going to set this up for digital, where would you move your lead weight? Would you slide it back to the motor pod, just in front of the motor, or would you move it outside of the chip on the chassis? Thanks.
Chris.. I would probably use a Slottechnik Chip and just mount it on top of the weight with some mounting tape.. I really like how the car drives at the moment and wouldn't want to change that....
I think this car is the most fun rtr car straight out of the box. Throw some silicones on it and chuck the Magnet in the trash. And adjust accordingly.
If I bought every really cool car, there would be 500 of them here pretty quick. 500 x 70 to 80 bucks each = a lotta fun! Just the 20 something cars here, give a huge variety of driving styles.
I am planning to chip one of these Group C cars to see how they do digital.. honestly.. it is such a different experience for me.. and when I am on the track by myself.. I am racing the clock, not another car.. when there are more than 3 people at the track.. it is digital!

Thanks bro!!
Marty- Agree nice livery! Looks like your going the right way with it tuning- just a lot of trial and error, but
that is what makes it fun!
Clint, it was a fairly easy tune.. I got lucky. Lol
Cars looks good, I really like that livery as well! And she’s running good too! Great stuff Marty
Thanks Massimo. Maybe one day we will get some racing in on the same track!
@@twolinesslotcars yes! this has to happen

I am working on the driver part.. he loses focus sometimes 😂 thanks Dave!
@@twolinesslotcars Like I said on your live stream, I seem to set the best laps when I've zoned out!
Wow, so quiet and smooth I had to
Make sure the sound wasn’t muted! Nicely done Marty!
Thanks Peter! I am really enjoying the car.. we will see if it can keep up with the Jags..
Again excellent content Marty thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks Jan!

Agree Brad.. laps, laps and more laps..
G'day Marty, it's running awesome 👌
It is a fun car to drive for sure Rhys!
Wow you got that car running smooth and fast 😎
Thanks 👍 it was the easiest Slot it I have ever tuned. We will see how close I am to the rest of the field 😂 I may still finish last 😂

I will try that, back to the drawingboard again 😅

Oh.. I have had my eye on the Mazda.. I really like the Group C cars.. 👍👍
@Marty Ford yup, you really can't go wrong with these. Here's my 956c tune if you haven't seen. ruclips.net/video/Hn942lKosEc/видео.html
Beautiful car. Nice simple tune. Gotta love it.
Gotta love it!
Love that Green also Marty
Me too!!
Great video and great car Marty
Thanks John!

@Marty Ford racing with both mag n none mag, that's the fun of it. So many choices, so many setups... no staleless in this hobby of slot cars.
Such a cool car! Now another car to beat
Give it a drive.. I think you will like it..
Nice tune. Nice driving
Thanks bro!✌️

I'M GOING TO BUY THAT CAR. I'VE BEEN CHECKING IT OUT.
I recommend it Gary.. wry easy tune for me.
I think this car is the most fun rtr car straight out of the box. Throw some silicones on it and chuck the Magnet in the trash. And adjust accordingly.
Nick, it is a great car. I picked up the fat turbo version, and I have it running even better!

"Tooned"
The sound 'un' is not the same as 'oo', so how on earth do you get "tooned" ( as in cartoon) from tuned?
Cool car...but do you miss the lane changing?
I am planning to chip one of these Group C cars to see how they do digital.. honestly.. it is such a different experience for me.. and when I am on the track by myself.. I am racing the clock, not another car.. when there are more than 3 people at the track.. it is digital!
Hmmmmm. No NEW cars for a while. I see a loophole. ok Marty. We will be watching. Lol Have fun racing.
A man can try, Jeff.. a man can try..... LOL
Dang Magnets
I took them out Steve 😉
Oh for goodness sake Mary W, did you like the car or not!!!😊
Lol. Yes, until I broke the chassis.
The car is crazy quiet….
Except when I drove it hard into a corner..
Why not just overpower it and put GR 7 motor in it.
That’s always an option 😊
