    Hi Morgan,
(Did not notice your first name anywhere)
I like the things you explain about tuning a Slot-It. I have been racing with Slot-Its for about 5 years now. I do most of the things like you do them. An interesting thing you propose is to file off the rear bushing holders until the metal bushing stands out. I do not do this, may try however. I always put a thin teflon washer on the axle between the wheel and the pod. This gies me confidence that the wheel or gear is running on a nice flat surface. I also do this in the front, as the axle posts in the front are never really flat from the outside.
Anyhow thanks for your post. I like it.
    Best wishes from Germany.

Little tip for the older slot.it chassis, you can glue small 3/32 washers to the chassis to set the front ride height which does the job of the modern grub screws..

    Slot Car Corner makes an
adjustable front axle kit for Slot It chassis. They also have a video to view for installation of the kit.

    Zac-
Thanks for the video. I have a large, digital plastic home layout, but plan to bring some of my non-digital slot.it cars out to my local raceway during the next few weeks. Is the 84.8G weight on the bottom of this car for the chassis only or is that for the chassis plus the body?

I did slot competitions 8 9 years ago, then I stop. Now I just got myself an old scalextric track and I'm watching this kind of videos just for fun, and I noticed people adding weight to their cars. Every people I raced with, me included, we always focus on reducing the weight of the car. Sure you get more traction, but will it worth the grip vs the acceleration lost?

What is slot.it? Are they just cars made by a company other than Careera or Scaltrix

Yes, Slot.it is is an Italian manufacturer. Unlike Scalextric or Carrera, they don't focus on the toy market. They make cars more for the hobbyist at only a slight premium. Think of a Scaley with hopped up parts and better chassis...that's what a Slot.it is for another 10-15$. They make a number of classes. They started with Group C sportscars from the 1980's, then moved into modern 2000's LMP and vintage LM cars from late 60's/early 70's and have added DTM cars from the 90's. They have a sub brand called Policar that also makes early 70's F1 cars. You can find Slot.it cars at any reputable slot car store.
