- In less than a month this car has ran a number of record breaking passes! first started with an 8.59, then 8.58, then an 8.54 using a K20 engine combination. After that event, they swapped the engine and put in the k24 engine and blew the record out of the water! 8.38 and picked up another 4 mph making it the worlds quickest and fastest ALL MOTOR civic by running 168 mph!
This car is powered by a JBR Engines K24 and is tuned by Omar Crespo on a Fueltech FT 550. It is also using the Quaife Sequential transmission! The car sounds sooooo good going down the track and its incredible the times that it is putting up on the board! we are talking, this car to the 1/8 mile can give a run to the sfwds! its getting there in 5.4 seconds!!
Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and the Import Revival got rained out, but we were all ready to see that number drop with the cooler temperatures we were getting that weekend!
The future is bright for this car, already making leaps ahead of the competition and time will only tell how much deeper into the 8s this car can get in. Maybe 7s?
This car just ran an 8.15 last weekend at World Cup. 🙌

I would love for Faster Motorsports to build a 275 HP K series that they could swap into a 1992 or 1993 Acura Integra one day. Owning an Integra like that is my dream vehicle. I can only imagine their ability to build a quick Honda.
Im sure if you get in touch with the guys at faster Motorsports they will be more than happy to help you build a k series at that power level. Good thing is you don’t need much. I personally had one making close to 260 whp and it was a stock k20 with drop in cams. On e85.

But that VW is more of a full tube chassis car, this HONDA CIVIC is still a full stock chassis unibody car and weighs-in 1,850+ lbs and uses no "traction-bars"....Put that VW engine on a chassis with similar specifications and see if it can run 8.2s again.

Nitro methane is not naturally aspirated . The fuel carries oxygen and your injecting that oxygen. Nhra doesn’t consider nitromethane cars na.

They built different motors, once the 2.4 was ready they swapped it in

@@FlakoPics probably so, and how does an all motor engine get its power from? like how do you increase horsepower other than rebuilding the block?
@@josiahbutler2254 the block set up is definitely key to making more power between the piston size selection, compression ratio, stroke, etc, but fuel and fuel amount is also key in this. So using nitro methane and how much fuel they can throw at the motor to produce the power. Then the transmission set up plays a huge role as you want to effectively put the power down and keep it in the power band. It’s a lot of things that when they mesh together they make killer set ups like this.

Awesome stuff non the less. Years ago 4 bangers allmotor running this quick would be laughable.
almost certain a roller-barrel throttlebodies would pick up a little bit, plus some trick squish pad tricks that Costhworth did back in the 80s, and smaller exhaust ports, and matched header.
Most are going bigger exhaust ports, and our tests have proved smaller nets more under the curve.
Running smaller Exhaust valves allows us also to run much bigger Intake valves, and we also offset the cylinder head to unshroud the Intake valves from the cylinder walls. Which also means we can run little less duration, thus not messing with overlap.
And we do small chambers like Edyn, the clover chamber create to much localized turbulence, so we run the chamber a bit more open.
So many more tricks, but I got out of racing so it doesn't matter to me anymore.
Another big gain is how the pipe step angle matches with the exhaust port. And we keep area change at no greater than 10% in the primary. Greater than that begins to create adverse effects.

It runs on nitromethane fuel. That fuel give the car a lot of power.
