Slipknot seems to have more variety in riffs than korn.
Thats because Slipknot are more technical than Korn.
Korn has always used very easy riffs but Bryan and Munky were able to put them together to make amazing sounds, along with Fieldys slap bass and David's groovy drum beats to create a sound that just worked perfectly.
Slipknot is on a whole other level of music mastery.

In my opinion as a musician, these bands both have great riffs...its just the delivery of the type of music they are creating...
Slipknot - more fast more traditional Metal sounding riffs bit with a modern twist..
KORN- focuses on sounding brutal but also experiments with effects and ambience to create a creepy atmospheric metal

Korn isn't really about riffs. They're not one of those metal bands with fast pace complex riffs, they're way more focused on keeping things slow, creepy, and heavy. Creating an atmosphere.

Both Korn and SlipKnot are two of the best bands of this generation. The fact that both bands 2019 records where VERY good is something special. Props 🤟🏼.

Korn shows more emotion in their riffs, while Slipknot is more hardcore, i love both. I could spend all day talking about the differences between them, and what i like about each though... it's tough, but out of these songs. SLIPKNOT wins by 1 for me.

Slavic _Slav just because Slipknot plays more notes faster doesn’t mean they’re more creative. I think Korn is more creative because they do more with less, which is a lot more difficult to do. Creativity is totally an opinion though!

Slipknot has some insane solos and riffs their songs. These are just the signature songs on the slipknot side. But I absolutely love both bands. I just prefer slipknot. It's got a unique voice and a signature sound for every album.
The voice of JD is totally unique. I love both band too, but in live Korn give a better sound. I see Slipknot in Paris in January and the sound was very saturated... Big disappointment for me

I quit listening to korn when they went Dubstep. Their recent stuff is actually pretty good and a nice step back to their roots, but i just can't unhear what they did with skrillex. Therefore i just lost complete interest. Just my opinion anyways. I'll always have "Issues" though (ha pun intended). It was my first from Korn.

@@sofienfadhlaoui7229 i never could get into Muse. It might be because i got into metal so early in my life. I was a bit of an elitist, if it wasn't Metallica or Pantera or anything in between than it was shit lol. I started playing guitar when i was 18 and it really opened my eyes and mind and i started to really appreciate other styles. Muse was just one i could never get into though i do say they are quite talented. I guess in the end that little elitist is still in me somewhere lol, I'm a metalhead at heart and i always will be. I used to dog on metal/deathcore but lately ive really been getting into some of those bands. I will admit most of them are very saturated and cloned, but there are quite a few that really stand out and have unique styles. I discovered a band that i have named "progressive thrashcore" lol a band called Inciter. They are definitely a thrash metal band but i also hear alot of metalcore and even prog elements in their music. You should check them out if you are into any of that or if you haven't heard them yet.

Korn is a lot about sound and stuff, they have some crazy things they make with their music, I love them, but Slipknot is really into the emotional state of the music, and I’m not saying Korn isn’t emotional, but Slipknot has been in for a long time and have gone through hell and lost Gray, and yet, they never gave up on each other... like family❤️
Purely Violet they literally gave up Jordison. He even testified they never visited him in the hospital. They kicked him out without his knowledge.
Korn had it tough too. Jonathan fights his depression through their music. Recently lost his wife and the band stood by him. Head left without a word for 8 years too follow some religious righteous crap. Treated his wife and daughter like shit, the band hated him buttttt they still welcomed Head back to the band after all he did. Both bands kick ass in different ways. There isnt a comparison for me
Purely Violet Totally :) But KoRn also can be incredibly in touch with their emotions! ❤️ The song “Daddy” by Korn I’d say is one of the most emotional songs in metal music history if not most. Johnathon Davis (lead singer) was molested as a child, and recently just lost his wife about a year ago :(
