Master! What a beauty, what a garden, is it a dream?? Am I dreaming?? I love everything everything of this heavenly dream garden! 🙏Thank you Claus 🙏 Please come back soon💓💚💓💚💓💚💓
Wonderful tour, with such a knowledgeable host! Such a good example of a natural looking cottage garden that is not forced into a contrived landscape 👍
Too bad RUclips was not a thing when you were building your garden. I would be very interested in the process of your hard scape, structural plantings etc… All those beautiful flowers are the last step in a well thought out garden.
Your cottage garden is so beautiful! I think it's okay to combine styles, cottage with formal gardens, as it would be too predictable and boring otherwise! You have such an eye for creating a lovely garden, Claus! It is wonderful to learn from you and find new ways of combining plants!
A beautiful garden you have got. I like the informality of the cottage style part of your garden , furthermore the formal elements are eyecatching and interesting. The diversity of your flowers, plants and colours are really appealing. Thank you for sharing.😍👏👏😍😍
Dear Claus. Again, you are great inspiration for us. Your garden and your personality are amazing. Best regards from Stettin (Poland), Aga ❤ and Peter😊.
Really beautiful, Claus. Everything looks so lush, loved and healthy. I love cottage gardens and the informal style with frothy flowers tumbling everywhere as though they've all just happened naturally. Another gorgeous cottage garden is at Hardy's Cottage here in UK - the former home of novelist Thomas Hardy and where he wrote Far From the Madding Crowd. So beautiful and heavenly 🌷🦋🌷xxx
Totally stunning, and your description of all the flower varieties is really helpful in informing us viewers of what we might like to try in our own gardens.
Thank you for your beautiful videos. They are a joy to watch, & we love the planting style of your cottage garden plants. We live in very damp, very rural mid-west Wales so cannot plant too densely if we are to avoid fungal outbreaks.
Love the mixture of all the plants all the different pedals of the blooms are so pleasing to see together!! You have a wonderful eye to mix these!! I love it!!❤️
To set off the more contemporary look and also Candy Tuft which is more of a stark white and a little more firm or able to hold up better flower. We had years of a very nice garden. Then one year a very cold winter about 3/4 of the garden froze and died, then having drought for many years now we have a huge transition to our garden because we have all had to remove our lawns...so having lived here for 47 years...not much is left of the original garden ad we are 81 and myself 79., But we keep trying and once a garden lover, always a garden lover. I pray that the Good Lord will allow me to work in His garden in heaven one day😊
Thank you for sharing your incredibly beautiful garden! You have so many interesting and special plants, i really love the silene! I hope you will share more of your roses when they bloom.
Thank you so much, Claus for showing us your beautiful cottage style plantings. I also love cottage style and at the moment my garden is spilling over with beautiful frothiness. You have given me lots of ideas for plants to buy to fill gaps in my borders, due to the hot summer and really unusually cold winter. I especially liked the airiness of of the Anthriscus Sylvestris.I had a lot of ground elder in my lupin bed and i pulled it up- I would have left it had i known it had such a beautiful flower head. I adore the rose 'Odyssey'. What a stunning bloom. It is now on my wish list! Watching your videos of your stunning garden is costing me a fortune- my wish list is ever growing, ha ha. Thank you again- your garden brings me so much peace and happiness :-)
Dear Claus, Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us. The way you pronounce the botanical names and the smile you have each time you share with us is so refreshing. All the best! 😊
Thanks so much for sharing your garden on video, absolutely amazing, such a talented man, not only are you able to grow plants, but your understanding of texture , shapes, height and colour are phenomenal. I watch a number of other gardeners videos. None come close to you. One only has to read the comments below to realise how respected you are.
Your formal garden fabulously frames the cottage garden. The effect is stunning. You make the world a more beautiful place and share your knowledge with us. Thank you.
So beautiful garden! It will be amazing walking through it, the colours, the smell, the birds sounds...Hard work but wonderful results. I envy you😊🤢 in a cool way👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Your garden is amazing in every season, I can't stop to watch your videos. Thanks for sharing, now I'll have a look at your peonies because I want to add some in my borders.
Muchas gracias a usted por tan magnífico vídeo con tanta belleza, aquí en mi país hace muuucho frío así que creo que tomaré un café tenemos en estos momentos 7 grados 🌷🌷🇨🇱
Truly, Mr.Dalby, you are a model and an inspiration to me. You bring so much joy in my heart when I watch your videos and hope to be one day an inspiration myself to others. And not forget, to have a garden as beautiful as yours. Greetings from Romania.
Your garden is, of course, very beautiful... could you consider a discussion about how you fertilize to get such healthy plants. Do you have a regular schedule... beautiful but your obvious knowledge of this kind of issue would be so useful.
I also have a perennial hesperis (a white one) that I have had for at least 10 years but don't know the name but would love to get more. Your garden is magnificent
Dear Claus, do you have any problems with watering your garden? Maybe you could talk about that topic in one of your next videos. Will there be a ban on using water when it gets too hot and dry in your area? What would you do if that happens? I love your garden so so much...the abundance is so woderful.
Yes, this is a question many of us are facing in the western US. I typically mow my cottage garden down completely at the end of June. The ongoing drought is changing how we garden in California.
A wonderful tour! I appreciate your information on cutting back flowers so they will bloom a second time. I have bleeding hearts that don’t bloom a second time. I am trying to follow your suggestions and plant cleome and amaranth is in the same section to keep the garden interesting through the summer. Thank you for sharing your garden and all your knowledge.
You are very kind - thank you so much - and thank you for your interest in my book. My second book will be out this September, this time about cottage gardens.
New subscriber from New York! Mr. Dalby, I’m a new gardener and would be so happy if my garden looked even one tenth like yours! Thanks so much for the great videos ❤
Your garden is so beautiful and so well cared for. I am in Florida, my cottage garden looks different from yours, as we are now in deep summer. Chores must be done before the sun is up now! A cloudy day is a reprieve but we have no rain. Thank you for showing us your garden. ☺️
Wow so very lovely. Cottage gardening is my favorite. The Aisha rose is spectacular with the blooms close , abundant and delicate all at the same time. It has been very dry in pittsburgh pa USA . I do see some rain in the future so fingers crossed. Thank you for sharing.
Geranium Patricia! That’s the name I was looking for. i have bistorta but did not realise they will flower twice if cut back (which geraniums do also) so thank you for that valuable information.
I was thinking of your beautiful garden and there just happened to be a new video! I'm so glad to hear someone call Peony a Pe-ony. Here in the States we have this battle of Pe-ony vrs Pee-on-Nee ugh! Let's have the name sound pretty

I think a ban in Sweden is not something that comes easy, also the abundance works great for keeping the ground covered and not dry out
