  • Such a beautiful time of the year. The roses and many perennials are in full bloom, and the hedges are clipped.
Thank you so much for following my English inspired garden - a formal place with many wild plants grown in cottage style.

Claus, I must tell you that seeing rose 'Heidi Klum' thriving in your garden is what made me get a bare root for myself this year! All suppliers have her down as a short patio rose that grows to only about 50cm, but in your videos from last year. I've seen that she can grow even bigger. Which is perfect for me because I don't like having to get down on my knees to appreciate her sweetly scented blooms!

Another name for Epilobeum, or Rosebay Willow Herb, in England is 'Fire Weed', as it thrives in places where a fire has been. During WWII it was a very noticeable feature in London and elsewhere, where it covered areas that had suffered bombing. I have grown the pale rose variety, as well as a white one. They deserve to be more widely known.

Beautiful, as always. What most impressed me about your roses was how disease free they were, no black spot, no yellow leaves. Do you use organic methods, or some other way to keep them so healthy ? So interesting to find a sterile form of epilobium, because the ordinary form is considered an invasive weed. Wherever there were abandoned areas of waste land, rose bay willow herb would take over. It's too pretty, I think, to be dismissed as a weed, so I will try and find the one you have. I hope it likes full sun, because that is all I have in my garden.

Just discovered your channel on my suggested feed and was especially interested because my grandmother, Lena Samuelsen, came form Aarhus. What a lovely and effulgent oasis! My main garden interests are bulbs in spring and roses in summer but the mix you have is most harmonious, especially the rooms with defined color themes. I'll look back on your previous videos but I am most interested to reverse engineer your rooms and learn, starting from bare ground, what was your approach to achieve the end result that we see today?
