The funny thing is, Hogwarts just got a TONS of answers to questions which haven't been asked yet. At least 4 or 5 answers to questions she will wonder about later.
There was a comic book among the items that Richard showed young John - Mystery Tales No. 40, a real comic published by Atlas Comics (later to become Marvel Comics) in 1956 with a blurb on the cover reading "What was the secret of the mysterious Hidden Land!" Over at Lostpedia they have some interesting information about that comic pointing out some connections to Lost: lostpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Mystery_Tales_No._40 And I was thinking it is similar to that damn issue of National Geographic from the Lindelof show The Leftovers. That was a real issue of the magazine whose articles had several connections to the story in The Leftovers.
Just recently finished the great GoT reactions on this channel and now you're reacting to my favourite show of all time. These videos have been fantastic, thanks to everyone involved. Especially great to hear thoughts from people involved in arts/media.
In Locke's dream, Horace Goodspeed mentions that he has been dead for 12 years. If accurate this would place the date of the "Purge" on December 19, 1992 (December 19 being Ben's birthday)
Wow I just noticed that the time slipage between the boat and the island is so big...remember when Faraday sent the morse code message ,it was dark and when the marine got it,it was daytime.
Ben and Hurley sharing a chocolate bar is one of my favourite scenes in the whole show ❤ Spoilers.... Sets up their future as leader and advisor of the island
Yeah! Please change that "spoilers" of yours into *MAJOR SPOILERS!!* if u can, considering it spoils something very essential for even after the whole show is over, but at least for the very SERIES finale within the very next phrase/ line of your comment....
Once you have seen the whole show, this episode is so, so great. Top 3 for me. Maybe it is getting a little too crazy for these 3... Daily life can be Very time consuming haha The schedule is tight, and the details are easily missed this way. But its the most enjoyable Lost reaction we got on YT, together with The Normies. Looking foward for the finale, hoping that the enjoyed It. :)
I've never finished Lost. Actually only ever made it to the end of this season on a few separate occasions. I just seem to lose interest after this season for reasons similar to theirs. But S1-S4 I genuinely believe are some of the greatest TV seasons of all time.
@@totezmcgotez44 Which is kind of unfortunate, and never made sense to me of those who quit. We always knew it was going somewhere weird, from the tone of the very first few episodes. With the weird sounds of the smoke monster, and Jack seeing his father. It really couldn't have gone in any normal direction. And that weirdness is what makes the show interesting.
Hurley silently sharing his chocolate bar with Ben is one of the best scenes in Lost, fucking fight me, nerds. ...sorry, Hurley love brings a lot out of me.
Did you not know that there are 1000, 200hp Evinrude outboard motors attached to the back end of the Island? Move the island, what the hell, was my first thought when I first saw this episode.
Here's hoping the three part finale is broken down into three double reactions per episode with episode 3x12 being uploaded on Monday and then episodes 13 & 14 being up loaded on Friday. *two parts on Monday & 4 parts on Friday
an article Hannah might find interesting about premature babies and how by the age of Locke's birth the tech was more used and accepted due to one man saving unwanted babies and used them as attractions at Coney Island to fund the research www.bbc.com/news/magazine-36321692
"She was 6 months pregnant not even showing"... That happens, yes, we call it "pregnancy denial"... That is not what is strange... What is, is that she knows she's pregnant, while in pregnancy denials we don't know we are... And yes, it is possible to give birth at 6 months (and it's even possible to give birth after the 9th month ! At the 6th month, the baby is a big premature, and has severe sequels usually at 6 months until the end of the 7th month... At the end of the 7th month the baby but and at 8th month is premature but that's exactly like if it was at the 9th month... After the 9th months, midwives must induce labour because the pregnancy becomes dangerous for the mother
"How does he save the island".....seriously John? That's the question you ask? Wtf? It's an island...it doesn't need saving....it's a piece of land with water around it....is it in danger of blowing up or something? So confused! What?! Move the island?!
I dunno if you've seen the whole show but there is a reason to save the island. It contains something very import on it that we won't see until season 6.
No spoilers - John knows this island is special, it has healing powers etc. He feels a very strong connection to it. He's also been told that the people on the boat are here to harness that power for their own greed. That's what he wants to do - protect the island's powers from these bad people. As for "move the island" - you and Hogwarts are right to be confused at this point!
I didn't get the part for a long time where Richard shows Locke the 3 things and asks him which belongs to him. Locke gave the compass to Richard. Oh wait, that is in season 5. But yes he did. No wonder nobody ever understands that.
That literally only just clicked with me for the first time while watching this reaction and I've seen LOST quite a few times... it just never registered before.
@@ciantaaffe - Yeah, that didn't work. They did those two things in the wrong order. The school scene makes no sense and by the time Locke gives the compass to RIchard we've forgotten. Not to mention that there are a lot more important things going on than the compass in season 5.
The compass in this episode is entirely unrelated to the compass in Season 5. Richard showed Locke several items. He was supposed to pick the vial of sand, the compass, and the Book of Laws because those three things belonged to the previous leader of the Others. (Things like the comic book and knife didn't.) Richard was using a version of the Dalai Lama test to see if Locke was the new leader of the Others. Note that he said that the items in this episode "already" belonged to Locke, where as Richard knew that the compass in Season 5 never belonged to Locke. (Also the props are two entirely different compasses).
@@Volvagia0slayer, It is the compass. Damn, Locke gave It to Richard in Jughead (05x03) deliberatly asking him to visit him after he is born! Of course he didn't offer him the Compass while he was a 6 month born baby, but rather as a Young 7/8 yo kid. The teenage Locke not being offered the compass is explained by the fact that Richard didn't bother to even visit him, which can be seeing as the lack of faith he has in Locke's relevance shown in Follow the Leader (05x15) when he asks to Jack about Locke.
@@heitorabdias2212 No, it's not the same compass. 1954 Locke told Richard that that compass belonged to Richard, not to Locke. The compass in this test belonged to the previous true leader of the Others, i.e., the leader of the Others before Eloise. Locke wasn't the leader of the Others before Eloise and never owned that compass.

Locke: "He wants us to MOVE the island"
Me, watching live back in the day: "...Like, *emotionally*?"
"Its getting a little crazy" they say "its getting cuckoo" the say. Wait for season 5. Holy cow.

Given that Hurley shares *his* candy bar with Ben, it's a great bit of foreshadowing.

I'm sure since Brian is the editor that he knew the special importance of that scene.
Literally one of the best foreshadowing moments of the show

Looks like sleepy binging doesn't work well with all the craziness. I hope they grow to enjoy the craziness in the finale and the 5th season.
Binging doesn't 'work' in general, not with a show like this. But it is what is.
