Very nice. I love my Dash minis & hot logic for day trip & camping too. I use precooked bacon (no need for fridge) & cooks faster (power saver). Thanks for sharing!
Who knew you could go solo camping off grid without any stove, propane or fuel... and still be able to efficiently cook hot, delicious, quick, and easy meals!? In this video, I show you exactly how it's possible... using the small but mighty low wattage (300W) Dash Mini Griddle to cook three filling meals using nothing else! I'll be powering my #DASH today with my Jackery Explorer 1000 power station, but any power station or inverter capable of powering devices 300W or more will work just as great! Even better, I only used about 11-12% battery draw total for the entire day's worth of meal cooking - easily rechargeable on the next day's drive in a pinch, though it's rare I would typically cook 3 meals a day using my power source anyways. I hope you find this video helpful and that you realize by the end of it what a great option this is for someone wanting to cook with electric, or just looking for some fantastic space saving appliances that don't use a ton of power. I'll include any helpful Amazon Affiliate links from this episode below, but feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback you may have. You know I love to hear from y'all!! "While you're down there, you could . . . ya know, hit subscribe?" LMAO!! I seriously don't think I will be using my camp stove much at all. There are way too many other better options. I love quesadillas!! I saw a video the other day where someone put a few chunks of cookie dough and just like that - a big cookie! I LOVED THIS VIDEO!! I ordered the griddle! I had a $35 cash bucks at Kohl's and went ahead and purchased it. Can't wait to make a burger!
Omg I was wishing I had thought to bring cookie dough or brownie batter to make dessert! I'm definitely gonna give that a try, though- warm gooey cookie fresh from my minivan? Yes please!! Thank youuuu!!
Some suggestions for the Dash Mini Griddle. IF you have a way to retain frozen foods for a few days, I like to get the Kroger® Tater Rounds Shredded Potatoes 30 oz bag then break it up into the appropriate "serving size" (usually a dozen or so for 1 person. I also like making Korean scallion (or onion) pancakes... then dip into a dipping sauce of soy sauce, a dash of sesame oil (toasted) and some rice wine vinegar... yum! Also it's great for mini pancakes... but also I have an air fryer for keeping them warm tho TBH, you can sandwich them in a stack in the griddle kida like you did w/ the bagel, just slightly undercook them a wee bit. Also like doing BLT's - but again, I have the DASH Deluxe Sous Vide Style Egg Bite Maker to toast the reg size "sandwich bread" and I like to heat up pre-cooked bacon or fry fresh bacon in that also, so I can better save the grease for cooking later. Also good for making an egg and bacon sandwich w/ Miracle whip. :)
Yes, I am so impressed with what it can do! It's so versatile, and cooks way faster than I expected it to! I can't wait to try more things on it! Thanks!
This is great! I use my mini griddle and mini waffle maker in the comfort and “luxury” of my tiny apartment kitchen. I make cornbread , French toast, and brownies from scratch besides waffles and pancakes from a ‘Complete’ mix.
Who knew cooking on the Dash Mini Griddle could be so much fun! You are hilarious! I laughed the whole way through your video. 😂 I have the exact same one as you, love that color. Great video, and when I go camping, this is my preferred choice for cooking, no propane for me either! 😀
Thanks so much!! It's not the cooking with fuel part so much that scares me, as much as it is the transporting and possible (though extremely rare) mishaps that can occur with the cannisters or malfunctions that get me all anxious about it, lol! I am sure I'll eventually work my way up to it as another alternative, but thankfully there are a lot of good electric options for me in the meantime! 💚
I like your videos and especially your comments they are so apropos such as 'I'm a real fashionista". How could a person be fashionable while camping? I use a griddle too, though I also use the propane and butane..I voted to try the griddle when cooking inside my minivan. I am a regular subscriber but haven't seen you for a bit. Thank you for being there.😘💕
Breakfast and lunch each used up around 3% of the battery, and then dinner was more like 5-6%... so I would say around 12% battery for the entire day of meals!
why was a camper hollaring at you??? You were saying those tortillas are too big and Im thinking mine are the size of your plate.. lol... I have packets of chicken, tuna and pulled pork, they are super convenient if I want a sandwich at home or out on the road somewhere. I have a waffle iron/griddle I use a LOT but its about 10" square... Ive seen these minis before but it impressed me with the bacon and burger! but for now I'll stick with my 6" cast iron skillet and fuel stoves... lol... I do love the sound of bacon frying... watching you make this burger at 430 in the morning had me salivating like a blood hound! My late wife liked her burgers and steaks cooked to shoe leather, it hurt to ruin the meat like that, Id put hers on the grill 10minutes before mine and take it off after mine was on the bun and assembled.... lol... that little griddle holds a LOT of juice! When Im cooking a burger I use the tongs to dip paper towel down and soak up the juice so the burger fries not braises in its own juice... I admit this does make sense if you have the power system.. of course I COULD use it with an inverter while the truck is running.. that would give me ANOTHER means of cooking when out exploring!
That griddle really is powerful for the size and wattage - I love it!! I usually get the full sized tortillas too, but I'd heard that these street taco ones were the right size for the dash mini. I didn't believe the reviews when I first saw them - they looked to big for it - but sure enough, a perfect fit!!
I have coffee mug brumate in fact I have several my son uses it my daughter-n-law and her son. We love them!
They are great!!
@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures they are right now I'm drinking out of the white pearl mug this morning. The colors are pretty. Have a beautiful day 🙂

They are so convenient!! And yes! Great tip on the precooked bacon!
I bought an electric kettle because of you, now I have to buy a mini electric griddle too! 😆😅😂🤣
I'm loving my kettle!
Hahaha - oops!! 😁 I'm so glad you're loving the kettle, though!!

Another great presentation, 👍👌
Thanks John, I really appreciate it!!
You could just brown your chicken on the griddle..add it to some pasta or rice
Good tip, that would be yummy too!!
That little griddle did really well. I’m impressed. Food all looked good

HEY I'm a Raygoza. Why not make some milk gravy with the meat juices. Have you seen the My My Mini skillet and Noodle Maker?

Great video. I was wondering if you remember about what percentage of the Jackery was used for the 3 meals?
Breakfast and lunch each used up around 3% of the battery, and then dinner was more like 5-6%... so I would say around 12% battery for the entire day of meals!

Can we do a little steak on there ? I used to make one in a fry pan with onions .
Yes, you could totally do that. In fact, I think I need to!
👍❤️
You look like the Co-founder of Fresh Baked Disney.
Lol!
. I really enjoy your video. You have a lovely voice I could listen for hours.
Thank you so much!
The quesadilla could have been better with a drizzle of salsa on the inside and a drizzle of olive oil on the outside.
