You must get the three quart Instant Pot. It is very versatile and cooks rapidly. It claims to use 700 watts but uses 630 on my Jackery Pro. I use about two hundred watts total because it cooks fast. Great for making pasta and rice and with silicone molds you can make egg bites. Also makes the best hard boiled eggs ever, that are easy to peel. I have the little electric kettle and love it for boiling water quickly for coffee, oatmeal and pho noodles. I also have an egg mc muffin maker which I don't care for. It doesn't really toast the muffins and overcooks the egg. It got good reviews but I'm not impressed. Thanks for the video.
I must admit, I know a lot of people that rave about the instant pot. I may have to add one more appliance to my kit (and I wouldn't mind the Dash air fryer either, tbh!)
A couple of months ago I bought the 3qt size because it appeared that this little one was being discontinued. I then waited two weeks for its accessories package to get delivered. I like my IP,---it's just the right size for small batch cooking, has a food safe stainless steel inner pot, and allows me lots of cooking and even baking options. Very versatile...so happy I finally got one.
Agreed on the 3qt instant pot. A large portion of that 200 watts is in bringing the water to a boil. If you can add boiling water it greatly reduces the wattage used.
In my above post I forgot to add that the saute function works quite well, making it one of the IP's best features. Buying accessories individually or as a package increases your options.
I LOVE DASH MINI PRODCTS. I use egg cooker, rice cooker, dezin cook pot, egg bite maker, and electric kettle. I also use gas and wood burning stove for alternative cooking methods
I have considered a Coleman Camp stove as a backup method, but I'm still torn. I like the idea of a wood burning one! I am trying to utilize the campfire for cooking more before summer hits & it's too hot to deal with lol!
That was a FANTASTIC video!!! Full of great information, and you explained things in a way that even I could understand! I continue to pray for your health.😊
This is such important info. I can’t stress enough how appreciative I am for the research you did for this. These are fantastic cooking options for anyone living offgrid.
Hi Heather. I love it that you showed recipes that you actually made with each appliance. They looked delicious and shared how much power each uses. Hope you're feeling better and have a great weekend.
I bought a dash rice cooker. It pulls close to 200 watts on high and around 25 watts on low. I can cook 2 frozen chicken breasts in it or 2 frozen salmon. You have to buy the smaller ones since it is the .65 qt size. It works great for me! Great to have for camping or power outage.
I hear so many people raving about their low wattage rice cookers (especially the Dash)... I may have to add it to mix- especially since I can't have bread or pasta anymore so I've been eating a lot more rice!!
This comment was a lightbulb for me. I have the dash rice cooker in my cabinet but didn't think of just how versatile it can be. I'll be looking into recipe ideas ASAP. Thanks a bunch!
Thank you so much, I appreciate it! I'm trying to take advantage of not being able to camp this last week or so by catching up on some of the more educational content I haven't had time for yet!! 💕
I am starting simple with basics for my van so have my eyes on the 300w kettle. I bought the Aeropress which I think makes a serving so that would be a nice pairing. Was thinking collapsible kettle so glad you mentioned it uses less power than that. Thank you!
That part was so surprising to me, too! I knew there was a slight difference at least, but when I did the comparison I was not expecting it to differ as much as it did!! Thank you!
I do feel much safer not using propane or butane in my vehicle, even though I know tons of people do with no issues all the time! But for now at least, I definitely prefer sticking to electric!
I like food at a serving temperature of 130 to 145 degrees. Oddly enough a candle warmer will heat 16 ounces (a pint of liquid) to 145 and keep it there. Candle warmers use 54 watts. I bought a several candle warmers from Michael's for $5.99
Yes. I use wide mouth mason pint jars with lids. They are great for heating soups, can goods. left overs, and hot drinks. I also put water in pint jars and use them as hand and foot warmers in the winter time. -
Yes mine is a brow wax warmer device similar to candle warmer 43 watts picked up at thrift store never been used. I have yet to work it. You have my courosity up now. Will try it out this weekend. Mostly wanted something to heat H2O, canned foods and cooked meal leftovers.
Thank you for creating this video. I do not use open flames inside my Minivan or small SUV. I was doing research but have not purchased anything other than a kettle. I did go for a higher wattage Kettle because I really want my coffee or hot tea... NOW, on a sub freezing morning. I also need about 1 L of boiling water for my coffee and my oatmeal at breakfast. My power station has a 1500 watt inverter, so the 1000 watt kettle is not a problem for it. I looked at the collapsible kettle but did not like the way it poured. I feel the hot logic mini and the electric skillet would be perfect to round out my indoor cooking options and they would not break the bank either. Thank you for filming such a thorough review of each item.
Thank you so much, and thanks for watching! I agree a larger kettle makes sense if you need more water than for one cup of coffee or one oatmeal, etc...
Thanks for the info. I just found something that I have not seen anyone else with this, It's a portable neck body warmer, it has 4 heating settings . I only paid $15 it was 50% off. It's a game changer for me with our 20° weather we are having here.
Very good and wide selection of electric appliances for car/van camping. Your Pot /Pan is also great for various breads, cakes, muffins if you haven't tried those in it yet. Simply get a box mix and pour into a small cake tin. Add some water around the outside (not inside) of the cake tin and you can Steam Bake with it! It turns out great and delicious for Breakfast Muffins or Cornbread. Like others said the 3qt Instant Pot is great for so many things.
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures Cool! Glad you liked the suggestion. I bought my cake pan at Michael's in the baking/wedding section. They have Silicone ones and non-stick for easy clean up. Also Silicone muffin tins - cut them in half to fit and they make 4 each for mini Spice Cakes! Yummy.
I have a Jackery 240 and a 500 Explorer. I've had both for over 3 year's and I've constantly used them with 12v items on a regular almost daily basis with 100 watts solar panel only, for the past two years as a full time vanlifer. In the future, I would like to get a larger power bank to operate other items that requires a stronger power bank. But I am very happy with the set up I have. Thanks for your testing and display of various options that we can use to make a hot meal.
New subscriber! I was so excited to see your video come across as a recommendation.... I have been looking specifically for low wattage appliances to use when the power goes out and we switch over to solar but also wanted things I could take camping with us. Your product recommendations are perfect and saved me a lot of time!
Such a Beautiful, Informative & Detailed Review. Thank you 🙏. I just purchased the stainless steel version of the Dezin hot pot with steamer. Sabot heat is a Beautiful option for the Hot Logic as the Time & Temperature can be set. A True Set it & Forget it. We have a couple of the Dash products too. Love them. The waffle 🧇 maker & pancake 🥞 maker. So efficient & clean 🧼. Happy New Year & God Bless you 🙏
Except the first and last items, I have both dash units and the dezin. I use them at home all the time and love them. Got them for traveling and for making fresh hot meals at work. It’s nice to know I could use them for camping or for power outages. I use the dezin as well as my dash pie maker. My dezin says 250 and 600, not 150. I have the jackery 500 and the 1000. Living in So Cal we have rolling black outs and times without power because of frequent wildfires. I do have an electric kettle that I take when I travel. Thanks for your review. I love my dash rice cooker too. FYI. I will have to check out how much the pie maker and rice cooker use. I will have to check it out. Thank you
Thank you for this comment, great info! I believe the newer Dezin version after mine did bump up to 250 on the lowest, although that's still pretty efficient for as quick as it is! I've definitely been surprised at how much use I've ended up getting out of them even when not camping - I wasn't planning on that! 💕
Very interesting! Now I’m wondering what the wattage draw would be on my Ecoflow Delta compared with, say, the Jackery… I love that you are so meticulous in your testing. You remind me of Hobotech and his channel! (Except that your explanations are so much easier to understand!)
Thank you so much, I take that as a very high compliment - I can be the watered down cliff notes for "dummies" version LOL I know what you mean, I want to test them on other brands now as well!! I never would have expected such a huge difference
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures Well, I’m definitely one of the dummies on some of these things, which is why I don’t want to reinvent the wheel: Thank goodness for YT! You save us so much research time.
Perfect! My mini appliances came in handy too! (I'm actually bringing them to the extended stay I'll be stuck at a few weeks so I can cook there too lol!)
I like the look of the Hot Logic Mini - must watch your video on that. I have a Vango Sizzle portable Induction hob that uses 800W (240v) on max power, its smaller and much quieter than the home portable versions. I use it in my campervan here in New Zealand, I've cooked fresh filled pasta (Ravioli), and various veg in it, once the water is boiling it takes a similar time to at home. I also have a mini 600W kettle off Amazon, big enough for 2 large mugs, boils in 5 mins and uses 5AH of power. I also tried a 12V kettle, but it took 20 mins to boil and used the same power as the 240V kettle on my Inverter, so I don't use it anymore. I'm wondering if the Jackery has a modified sine wave inverter and the Bluetti has a Pure Sine Wave Inverter - I noticed the Jackery alternating between two different Wattages plus the modified Inverters are normally noisier than the pure sine wave ones - which you need with more sensitive electronic devices like phones, TV, laptops etc So it could be the Bluetti's inverter using the extra power maybe?
Great info, thank you for watching! The Hot Logic Mini is so handy and versatile as long as you have the patience & time to wait for it... I've gotten so much more use out of it that I expected to! The Jackery does have a pure sine wave inverter as well. It just seems to be way more efficient than the Bluetti's is. I haven't experimented with Jackery's new line, but I am curious to see if their lifepo4 version is the same as well (to be honest I haven't really been impressed with my Bluetti! Maybe it's just the model I have & some of their newer units have improved though!)
So glad to come across your channel! I look for useful items like this to cook in our big rig , I definitely want that electric pot! I'm thinking Boiled eggs, spaghetti! Great video 😊❤
Power station hack; If you want to use an appliance that is a bit over the wattage unit of your solar generator like the 700 watt instant pot on a 600 watt unit and it trips it off because you are exceeding it’s limits if you add a extension cord you will lose power because of the cord often letting you use the appliance. This also works when using dc appliances when using a DC Extension cord. Really saved my dinner when I was using a roadpro lunch box oven. Try it!
You drop voltage but the current draw will rise and could over heat the wires. It's safer to use a larger wire over a shorter distance. No big voltage drop.
Thank you so much, I appreciate it! I'm doing a little better than I was last week at this time, so I'm looking forward to getting back out in nature again next week for a while!! 💚
The larger the inverter equates to more wasted power. So if possible best to have inverter capacity just high enough to handle surge if power supply source is challenged. (i.e. cloudy, overcast, etc)
I’m definitely glad I watched this because I want to be clear about my next power bank purchase. Plus I just realized that I purchased the wrong kettle 😂 The one I have takes so long for water to boil. Almost 20 - 25 minutes. 😂 Ridiculous. Thanks for doing this!
Ohhhhh no... was it the 12V version? That would be great as an emergency backup if you were driving early in the morning at least!! I really thought I had done all my research before my last purchase, but I wish I'd known Jackery's newer version would have the flat top and the lifepo4 battery... those were the only 2 reasons I didn't get another one lol!!
You can add a clothing iron to the list. If you butter your bread, frozen waffles or pancakes and wrap it in aluminum foil, an iron can be used to toast the them🥪🧇🥞
I'm just finding this out now! Makes me wish I'd have waited a few extra months before getting the Bluetti, and getting one of the newer Jackery plus stations instead!!
I have the same Dezin hot pot. I really like it and use it a lot! I also have the Dash 8” griddle, same color scheme . I find it more versatile than my egg bite maker.
Hi Heather, I have the dash mini griddle, pie maker and bundt cake maker, also an egg cooker to boil 7 eggs. All in the same color scheme. That pot looks cool, I will look into that egg bite sandwich maker. Thanks.
Hi Heather, that was a great video. I see these appliances just about wherever I go and I always wonder do they really work? Do they really only use the wattage that it states on the device and how it’s going to work on my vtoman battery. so it was really cool to see you do this Review for these appliances. Thank you so much for sharing. I really appreciate it. You did a great job. Thank you.
Hello Heather, I am going to be in Florida , first of Feb, l wanted to hang out in Jacksonville and palm coast , anything you recommend to do or safe places to camp. Some for free if possible. I know cracker barrel, but maybe something more scenic. Also are any of the places you go within a 2 to 3 hour drive.
Cracker Barrel is definitely a good backup! You could also consider some of the overflow parking areas at Mayo Clinic right in Jacksonville near Jax Beaches if you are stealthy, b/c they have a ton of parking thats not occupied overnight! If you can snag a spot at Anastasia State Park near St. Augustine (I think it's $24/nt though) or Fort Clinch State Park on Fernandina Beach near Amelia Island for one night as a treat to yourself, it's so worth it to be right at a beautiful beach when you wake up, too!! Mantazas State Forest outside of St Augustine has some really cheap campsites ($5-10) too, and is about 45 min from Jacksonville btwn there and Palm Coast! The Riverwalk area of downtown Jacksonville has a huge farmers market on the weekends you can explore and wander around at right on the water too!
I was wondering if maybe one Station was just more efficient at converting to the AC power, but that's a good point too! I definitely wasn't expecting such a large difference though!
Hi Heather, thanks for the video! Great information (as usual); specifically regarding the efficiency of the Jackery and Bluetti power stations. Makes me wonder about the reliability (safety) of the battery management systems in them. I suppose the problem could be as trivial as buggy software that displays the information on the screen; but there could be deeper issues to consider. (Not that I would know specifically what considerations to make, but safety first, right)? For what it's worth, I own both a Jackery 300 and a Bluetti EB55. I almost never use the Bluetti, mainly because I don't use high-draw appliances. Seeing your results makes me question even more why I purchased the Bluetti in the first place, LOL! Also, though I know you are happy with your appliances, here are two more for you to possibly consider, both of which I own: 1) The Itaki Bento; it's basically an electric steamer. According to Itaki, the appliance draws only 220W and will cook a meal in about 30 minutes. It uses stainless steel in the parts that come in contact with your food, making it a safer/healthier choice than appliances with non-stick services. (I haven't used the Itaki yet; but that's because I'm not motivated to cook; which is something I'm trying to change!). 2) SabotHeat Smart Portable Oven; it's an appliance like the HotLogic, but with the added benefit of having 6 heat settings and a timer, meaning you can set it and leave it to cook while going on a hike. You can use a stainless steel pot or tempered glass dish (i.e. Corning Ware), which again makes it a healthier choice than the non-stick options. As for power draw, that can be as low or as high as you want or need it to be. I have used this one. I love it! If you're curious, the Counter Cooking and Steven Pereira RUclips channel has videos. Counter Cooking on both; Steven's video titled, "Something better than a HotLogic Mini? A (long) comparison between HotLogic Mini and Sabotheat." Thanks again for your very helpful video! I really appreciate your attention to detail!
Thanks so much for all your valuable info! I have heard good things about the Itaki too, but hadn't heard about the SabotHeat oven... I am definitely gonna look more into that!! Thanks again!!
I am gonna follow you for awhile. I don't fit into the confining labels. I am a minimalist roadtripper in a pickup truck! Minimalist camper, backpacker, & home food prepper. They kind of all go together. Yummo!
If you're at a campsite with power, you could always use your instant pot that way too to conserve power. I sometimes forget I have that option when I'm camping at state parks I'm so used to just using my power stations
Yes! I have cooked raw chicken in it, and salmon. I actually wanted to try a meatloaf, but haven't gotten around to it yet! It does take a long time though (at least 2 hours) but it will eventually reach an internal temp of 165F.
Thank you for this,Hearher. Its very handy😊. Can you cook things in the egg bite maker with the cups removed? I looked on amazon, but i cant see that information. Thank you for all you do!
Thanks so much, I'm so glad you found it helpful! And yes, I actually haven't used the little cups yet lol! (But I'm planning on trying them soon) I've just used it as a griddle type appliance so far!
I would guess that the reason the bluetti is always higher in the readings is either the meter is not calibrated correctly or the inverter inside the bluetti draws more phantom power than the jackery. Anyone else want to weigh in on why this happening?
Great video. Another RUclipsr - Dad’s Budget Adventures - uses a product similar to the Hot Logic (he calls it his truckers lunchbox) where he puts some water in, heats it then pops in a microwaveable pouch or container of ready to eat food. Things like curry, rice, soup, noodles etc. Seems to heat things very well. Thanks for your reviews. ; 🙂
Someone else mentioned that before as well, and now I'm bummed I didn't think to do that! I will probably film a short on it, but the only thing on the inside Is a reflective type material and a small hot plate. It's honestly quite underwhelming when you first get it (at least it was for me) but it's still one of my most used items & surprisingly effective!
So I wonder why the difference between the two power stations do you think it’s because the jack is a stronger power station that the appliances didn’t need to pull as much power or is there some other difference I’m really curious
I'm honestly not sure. I'd want to test another Bluetti to see if the same thing happens... I wouldn't expect the wattage draw to vary so much. The only thing I can think of is that maybe it takes more power for that unit to convert the power to AC? It seems like the USB and DC items draw the same on both units, it's only the ones that need the inverter to kick on for the regular outlets... Im definitely curious though!!
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANturesMicrowaves are rated by their output power, how much power they put into the food. The power draw is higher by about a third.
You didn't show what the Hot Logic looks like inside. I can google it myself, but it would have been nice to just see it all in context with your video. Very helpful video!
Thank you for the feedback! You're right, I really should have thought to show the inside, especially b/c I've heard people express surprise when theirs first came (It wasn't what I expected either) so that would have been helpful. It really just looks like an empty soft lunch bag inside with reflective material & a hot plate on the bottom. But it works really well!
@@fiendishthingy1630 If you look up Rick Mamanna's videos he has lots of recipe ideas for what you can make in the HotLogic plus he does show the inside etc.
I have debated getting one! Even though I'm able to make almost anything (except rice) with what I currently have, I do like that it pulls less wattage than the electric pot and is faster than the hot logic, so I think it would still be handy for me to have eventually! Thanks for watching!
I wonder if that's a feature on newer ones. I knew eco flow had the x boost technology that will expand the inverter, but I don't believe my EB70S has the capability. Luckily all of my current aplliances use less than 800W so I'm OK without it, but I'll have to look more into it, thanks!
Oh my goodness, that's scary you had issues with 2 different ones, yikes! Thank you for the heads up, I will definitely be super extra careful anytime I use it now!
Hi, I have these, and I really like the dezen pot, but my first one exploded, & my present one heats on only one side. I asked the maker, who told me that it has to be that way to heat...huh?
Thank you for this info!! I am concerned about one thing, though. It looks like each appliance has a nonstick surface. Am I seeing that correctly? If that is the case, what is that surface made of? The off gassing of harmful chemicals from many types of nonstick surfaces when they are heated, are very toxic. They get into the food and the air. That concentration in an enclosed small space, such as a car or van, would be really unhealthy! Please be careful! Health #1 ! And I hope they are not , cuz I want them all! Happy and safe travels!❤🙏
Thank you for bringing up this point, I honestly hadn't even considered that! I am trying to be more aware of offgassing, and using items with less toxins/chemicals, etc... but the electric pan and Dash mini products are non-stick. I do still usually cook outdoors, but there are times when weather is bad that I'll cook something easy inside, so I'll be more aware that my windows are still down enough and that I limit it. I appreciate your feedback!! (Luckily the kettle I use the most often is stainless steel inside, and the Hot Logic I use when driving aren't, so those are good!)
Yes, I got all of mine on Amazon! If you go to the actual description of the video I included the links for each of them for anyone who would like more details. I will say though, if they're not on sale at the time, they probably will be soon, so keep an eye out for their lightning deals!!
I was honestly so surprised by how significant the difference was!! I wish I would have e waited a few extra months after I got my Bluetti and gone with another Jackery!! Their new plus line has the lifepo4 over their older lithium ion ones, and there are a couple other things I prefer my Jackery for as well. I think I'm gonna try to do a video soon comparing my experience/review of both brands!
I power these exclusively off my Jackery 1000 or Bluetti EB70S, and have for a while now, which is why I wanted to share these low wattage options with others Unfortunately, a house is not an option for everyone in today's world, so it's good to have efficient alternatives that can be used
@duchess2367 I, along with many others, are not comfortable using fuel when cooking. This is why I opted to share low wattage electric appliances. Butane also does not work well in extreme cold, and is not recommended to store/carry in extreme heat (which I experience here in Florida). I'm glad it works for you, but this video is about low wattage electric options 💚

Thanks so much, Anna, I appreciate it!!
This is such important info. I can’t stress enough how appreciative I am for the research you did for this. These are fantastic cooking options for anyone living offgrid.
I'm so glad you found it helpful, thanks for watching!! 💚
Hi Heather. I love it that you showed recipes that you actually made with each appliance. They looked delicious and shared how much power each uses. Hope you're feeling better and have a great weekend.
Thank you, and thanks for watching!! I was so surprised by the differences in output between each power station!
Another informative video lady! I always learn from you. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!
Thank you!
You will love the Aeropress! That's what I use, and it makes such delicious coffee & is so easy to clean!!
Thank you for sharing this information! You’ve helped me to narrow down the appliances that I will purchase for my van. Well done, too!
Oh good, I'm so glad! Thanks for watching!
I also use these lower wattage electric items so I can cook in the car. They work so well.
They really do!! I've found myself using them at home base when I'm just cooking for myself as well!!
As always helpful. Informative., useful and FABULOUS. Especially interesting how differently it pulled on the different power stationd. Thank you.
That part was so surprising to me, too! I knew there was a slight difference at least, but when I did the comparison I was not expecting it to differ as much as it did!! Thank you!
I LOVE my Hot Logic! Definitely a must buy, I love some queso in it. Great video Heather!
Yes, perfect for queso (or spinach dip)!! Thank you Anthony!
I love the Dash appliances. I just bought the ice cream maker. I already have the waffle naker and use it all the time.
Oh goodness, I may need to get the ice cream maker this summer... how nice would it be to be able to whip up a cold treat at camp!? Thanks!!
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures exactly why I’m getting it. Can’t wait to try it.
That’s amazing. Safer too.
I do feel much safer not using propane or butane in my vehicle, even though I know tons of people do with no issues all the time! But for now at least, I definitely prefer sticking to electric!
So helpful. As always, thank you so much.
Thank you, I appreciate that!!
I like food at a serving temperature of 130 to 145 degrees.
Oddly enough a candle warmer will heat 16 ounces (a pint of liquid) to 145 and keep it there.
Candle warmers use 54 watts.
I bought a several candle warmers from Michael's for $5.99
Very interesting, thanks for sharing!
This was great information!! Thank you so much!!🙌🙌
I'm so glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for the info. I just found something that I have not seen anyone else with this, It's a portable neck body warmer, it has 4 heating settings . I only paid $15 it was 50% off. It's a game changer for me with our 20° weather we are having here.
Oh that sounds like a great addition for you! I recently learned they have rechargeable heated socks as well, so I may look into those!
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures Yes I saw the socks too 🤗 have a nice Holiday 🌲 & Stay Warm🤗
Thanks for the demos, that eas really helpful 👍

Very good and wide selection of electric appliances for car/van camping. Your Pot /Pan is also great for various breads, cakes, muffins if you haven't tried those in it yet. Simply get a box mix and pour into a small cake tin. Add some water around the outside (not inside) of the cake tin and you can Steam Bake with it! It turns out great and delicious for Breakfast Muffins or Cornbread. Like others said the 3qt Instant Pot is great for so many things.
Great idea, thanks for sharing! I havent tried baking yet, but I will definitely have to now!! Thanks for watching!
Yummy.
WOW THAT JACKERY SOUNDS LIKE ITS READY FOR TAKE OFF!!! Good demo!! Thank you. Found out my jack500 is not big enough for these guys
Sounds like a pretty functional setup for you, thanks for sharing!
Good video, very informative. Handy to know.

Thanks Heather! Timely video😉God bless you and keep you safe! Appreciate you!

New subscriber! I was so excited to see your video come across as a recommendation.... I have been looking specifically for low wattage appliances to use when the power goes out and we switch over to solar but also wanted things I could take camping with us. Your product recommendations are perfect and saved me a lot of time!
Oh I'm so happy to hear it was helpful to you! Thanks for watching!
Happy New Year & God Bless you 🙏
Thank you for mentioning the stainless steel option and Sabot with adjustable thermostat! I'm definitely going to look into those!
Absolutely excellent video, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experiences and demonstrate the products.

So funny,I'm working on these things and this pops up..Thanks for sharing.

@ I know. Right?
I also learned a lot!
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching!!
Great video! Thanks Heather!
Thank you, and thanks for watching!! 💕
Cool. Thanks.
I have a solar tube thing that will boil water for free. I bought it from 4 Patriots.
Awesome, sounds like a great solution!
Very interesting! Now I’m wondering what the wattage draw would be on my Ecoflow Delta compared with, say, the Jackery… I love that you are so meticulous in your testing. You remind me of Hobotech and his channel! (Except that your explanations are so much easier to understand!)
Thank you so much, I take that as a very high compliment - I can be the watered down cliff notes for "dummies" version LOL
I know what you mean, I want to test them on other brands now as well!! I never would have expected such a huge difference
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures Well, I’m definitely one of the dummies on some of these things, which is why I don’t want to reinvent the wheel: Thank goodness for YT! You save us so much research time.
I did something like several months ago for another social media account, it's great to see others that see importance. Thanks for sharing :D
Awesome, thank you!!
Used the waffle ironbw my solar power bank during helene to make burgers w toasted tortillias. Worked! So did not have to throw out hood beef.
Yes, it's perfect for both of those! And I love that the lid has the water drain hole for spaghetti too!
@@frankroper3274 Some devices will do that, such as computers. But resistance heaters will draw less current when the voltage is reduced.
Great video. Thanks.
Thank you so much!

Good idea, thanks!
Very helpful video 👍 I really like you and your channel ❤ You are very nice 🙂🎉
Yes Jackery is showing much more accurate watts reading than Bluetti
Thanks so much, I appreciate it!!
I love this color!!!
Thank you! When I saw it, I knew I had to get all my appliances in the same color lol!!
You can add a clothing iron to the list. If you butter your bread, frozen waffles or pancakes and wrap it in aluminum foil, an iron can be used to toast the them🥪🧇🥞

Awesome ....Jackery is better for AC power. I have a variety of power stations including Bluetti, Ecoflow, and of course my Jack's.
Those two are probably my most used as well (in addition to the hot logic!) They are so versatile!!
Hi Heather, I have the dash mini griddle, pie maker and bundt cake maker, also an egg cooker to boil 7 eggs. All in the same color scheme. That pot looks cool, I will look into that egg bite sandwich maker. Thanks.

Just got a like and sub from me! I have been looking for this information for a while now. Nice to get it all in one place!
Thank you so much! I'm glad this was helpful for you! 💚
Thank you for the video. Do you also carry a propane camp stove as a back-up?
I don't yet, but I've considered adding one. I'm still torn on whether I want to.
Hello Heather,
I am going to be in Florida , first of Feb, l wanted to hang out in Jacksonville and palm coast , anything you recommend to do or safe places to camp.
Thanks, enjoy your videos and tips.
I dont think it's actually pulling different amps it's just a difference in accuracy.
I was wondering if maybe one Station was just more efficient at converting to the AC power, but that's a good point too! I definitely wasn't expecting such a large difference though!
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures you can get a device called a kill a watt you might look into it for further testing.
Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Also, though I know you are happy with your appliances, here are two more for you to possibly consider, both of which I own:
1) The Itaki Bento; it's basically an electric steamer.
A (long) comparison between HotLogic Mini and Sabotheat."
Thanks again for your very helpful video!
Yummo!
Sounds like a great combo! Thanks for watching!
@@juliamarple3785 You forgot to mention virtue signaler in your resume.
Just looked up a 3q instant pot - 700w - so not low wattage but an appliance I might consider as I use a 6qt in my home.
If you're at a campsite with power, you could always use your instant pot that way too to conserve power. I sometimes forget I have that option when I'm camping at state parks I'm so used to just using my power stations
700W is a lot, but it's still pretty efficient for what one can do, so I def think it could be worth it to bring still!!
Can you cook a roast, meatloaf or any other type of meat in the Hot Logic?
Yes! I have cooked raw chicken in it, and salmon. I actually wanted to try a meatloaf, but haven't gotten around to it yet! It does take a long time though (at least 2 hours) but it will eventually reach an internal temp of 165F.
I definitely want the jackery 1000
It is a great unit! (Especially now that they have the newer lifepo4 version)

@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures Perfect! Thank you 🥰
Do they have ceramic surface instead of the non stick?
The travel kettle is stainless steel, and I usually use glass containers in the Hot Logic, bur the others are the non stick unfortunately
I wonder why each appliance pulled a different wattage on the batteries. Thank you for the insight!
I was really surprised! The Jackery seemed to pull closest to what most of the appliances were rated for, but I didn't expect such a difference!
I would guess that the reason the bluetti is always higher in the readings is either the meter is not calibrated correctly or the inverter inside the bluetti draws more phantom power than the jackery. Anyone else want to weigh in on why this happening?
@@LoveRise my personal guess is that the inverter is less efficient in the Bluetti and takes more power to convert to AC than the Jackery does.
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANturesOr they might not both be putting out exactly 125 volts.
I also have a rice cooker.
I think if I was going to get anything else, it might be that. Those are definitely handy appliances to have on the road! Thanks!
Thanks for your reviews. ; 🙂
Thanks!! I'll have to check that out!
You should show us the hot logic mini without it's cover so we can see what it looks like.
I suspect the Bluetti has a larger inverter.
Heather what about one of those $50.00 700 watts microwave from Walmart?😊
Ooooh, that's actually pretty low draw - I could see the potential in that, since you'd only be using it a few minutes at a time!
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANturesMicrowaves are rated by their output power, how much power they put into the food. The power draw is higher by about a third.
Are u using inverter for these products i just seen u can destroy your power station without useing an inverter to change ac to dc
My power stations have a built in (pure sine wave) inverter, so I'm able to switch over to AC and back without risk of damaging the unit, thankfully!
No My Mini appliances??
I haven't personally tried that brand yet, but I've heard good things about them as well! The Dash appliances are very similar to those
Have you thought of a small rice cooker? You can make alot of things, besides rice.....
I have debated getting one! Even though I'm able to make almost anything (except rice) with what I currently have, I do like that it pulls less wattage than the electric pot and is faster than the hot logic, so I think it would still be handy for me to have eventually! Thanks for watching!
Why, like the dezen pot & kettle advertise a certain wattage, but really draws more?
It is very frustrating that the low setting on the pot is so off!
On the bluette has X boost did you try that.
I wonder if that's a feature on newer ones. I knew eco flow had the x boost technology that will expand the inverter, but I don't believe my EB70S has the capability. Luckily all of my current aplliances use less than 800W so I'm OK without it, but I'll have to look more into it, thanks!
The jackery is 1000watts what is the eb 70?
The EB70S has an 800W inverter, and 719Wh total capacity.
List starts at 2:30..youre welcome.
I think most of the people in the comments already figured that out, but thanks LOL
Loved my Dezin, but it sparked & mini blowup on bottom. I bought another one, and the connector where plugs in, started smoking. Dangerous.
Oh my goodness I'm glad you mentioned that. I'll have to be super careful and vigilant when I use it!
👍👍👍
