- One of my favorite things about ER was Mark and Susan's relationship development, so I just had to make a video depicting their story! I love their growth and think they're beyond adorable together. When Susan left in mid-season 3, my heart broke into a million pieces and I'm still healing!

One of the best couples on the show, I am so sad that they didn’t work out because they were perfect together!

Since i finished watching it for the second time they’ve been my favorite. My first time watching it i was too into carol and doug that I didn’t really see mark and susan
Before there was McDreamy and Meridith there was Mark and Susan.
As much as it was entertaining romance between Derek and Meredith, the chemistry between Mark and Susan is much much better and feels so real!

ER was possibly the best drama series i ever watched. It had some of the most lovable characters in tv history. The original 3 series were fucking mint. I once worked as a porter in the A&E of a Manchester hospital and i know the score although it was not as mad as ER!!.. i also lived just outside Chicago in the late 90s... belting time in my life. Anyway them 6 actors in the original were all brilliant... top top show

Mine too. A masterpiece. Great writers. The psychological traits of the carachters are unbeatable. Nothing can be compared to E. R. Best TV show ever.

And, this is real life for some people. They are perfect for each other but timing is wrong and life interferes

This was truly the best non couple on the show,I so wanted them to workout,she was the most beautiful woman on the show to me🥰
I was in film school and beginning of my career when ER was on. I never thoroughly appreciated how insanely good this series, the writing, storylines and characters were, until 2024!!!.....John Wells with Michael Crighton made one helluva series to get addicted too....
Make sure you tell someone you love how you feel, it may be your last time!!!!

If Sherry Stringfield didn't leave ER the first time she would've probably ended up with Mark. When she returned he was already in a committed relationship with Corday so they missed their window on that.
I watched ER all the way through its run so I was a fan of the show and not just some fanboy of the early seasons like some of the people on the internet.

I totally agree, I’m really sad that Susan and Mark didn’t end up with each other, they had great chemistry and probably would’ve been one of the best tv couples in history

It’s a shame Sherry Stringfield couldn’t push through the demanding schedule (which is why she left the show).
Mark and Susan being together was clearly where the writers had planned to go at some point.
It just sucks to know that it would’ve happened if she just didn’t leave the show
And I wonder how it was for her when she left because she left the show as mark and Susan were developing into a couple and it’s a 15 season long show so they had a lot of potential , they could’ve developed even more, so it must suck for her to know that she messed up the opportunity of what could’ve been the best tv couple in history

I stopped watching E.R on season 3 episode 8, thats the episode when Susan left Mark at train station. After that i was not interested in watching E.R anymore. Thank you for posting this video, these moments of their love will last forever.

If it wasn't for her leaving the show prematurely they probably would've eventually gotten together. When she returned he was already married to Corday. Mark and Elizabeth were great together also so it all worked out in a different direction.

A thought that occurred to me: a close friendship that doesn't rush into a marriage, that takes its time, that sees ups and downs and loss and gain. Maybe it ends up a marriage with a child and a devastating goodbye. Maybe it falls apart.
Maybe Elizabeth is Mark's close friend that finds the cancer returning.
