    Jean Charles Skarbowsky is a former 3 time European Muay Thai champion and is widely considered one of the best farangs (foreigner) to ever fight in Thailand. This is an excerpt from MUAY THAI MASTERCLASS ADVANCED EDITION available from DynamicStriking.com.
    Dynamic Striking was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your striking skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for students interested in striking who don’t look at mixed martial arts as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

    His jokes with the straight face are also incredible.

    I watched the TUF clip as everyone else....but i also read the manga "karate shokuishi kohinata minoru" where a fighter named Gianni Skandalaki is also based off him. He´s a legend and i have no idea how anyone could replicate his lifestyle and have his success

      i hate how they presented him as the drunk french dude, he is a legend in muay thai, he made a name for himself in Thailand, fought the best fighters, like Buakaw, while being 5 categories underweight and on short notice, and he didnt train for a month and a half before the fight due to an eye injury and still held his own, he is a legend really

    This is so important, it was hard to learn away from a punch heavy mindset when starting muay thai. That´s why muay thai fighters look a bit novice when boxing, they are not planted to throw heavy boxing type punches, but light, ready to kick, block knee etc with their feet.

    • @ouroboroscartel8079
      @ouroboroscartel8079 6 месяцев назад

      Very true that’s why the Dutch dominated K1 for a good amount of time, they mixed the Thai style with boxing n being more top heavy they were beating tf outta everyone (not that many Thai guys cos they are still tough as nails but imo Dutch kick-boxing with knees n elbows, so pretty much Thai Dutch combo, is fkin top notch 💪💪💯💯💯)

    • @cn2490
      @cn2490 2 года назад +4

      That and your center of gravity and heads will lean forward unconsciously, flat-footed, frozen hip and legs spreading out way back for power punch. While if you keep your legs narrow and upperbody light, relaxed, go on your toes you can check high-kick and kick high while the torso remain upright even in close distance like this ruclips.net/video/fcX88ThmfVQ/видео.html
