That’s great! Next time try Frog Tape: you’ll get cleaner, sharper lines and it’ll release when it comes time to take it off. Remember Frog Tape is green in color, don’t mistake it for lacquer tape which is also green but has a higher adhesion.

If you want to reduce the rate of paint flacking off, dont touch the board with bare hands after you clean it. Always wear gloves or handle with towels between your hands and the board until you're done with the process.

Did you check the paint? I dare not use the regular stuff as it might come off. I only use marine grade material, especially for the final coat. Let's keep the ocean clean 🤙

I used it everyday for a month in Hawaii and there were a few patches where the paint wore off, but it was not too bad. It was all from taking it in and out of the car etc. if you use a board sock it would last a lot longer
