Very nice. I love my XT 250 but would still like a TW in addition to it. I’ve ridden a TW some on the trails and street. I really like the seat and those big tires.

My extras are heated grips and crash bars to protect the engine cases , not that I've ever dropped it . Mind you saying that I once pulled up at clients house to do some gardening and my trouser leg got caught on the foot peg and I couldn't put my foot down , me and the bike went crashing over , but those crash bars saved the winkers from getting broken . Top box on the back . I'm a TW rider every day through out the year . Done 33000 miles now , love it . Thanks for posting
Hey Russel, my first bike when I passed my CBT 9 years ago was a TW 125, had the round headlight with purple/blue tank, really solid bike! I later got a Hyosung RT 125 which I had for 3 years, basically the exact same bike except the RT has a bit more HP and tops out at 70. Worth considering if the TW packs it in as they are pretty rare now in the UK.
I bought one years ago very under powered was pulling that big wheel in the back nothing like a 200 to cycle about half a quarter the power of a two cycle
Nice find! That bike is like new. Might wanna rethink that front rack design when you consider that the front wheel/fender will come almost up to the bottom of the headlight on full compression.
I live where I can explore the desert behind my house for 3 states and not see a single town or paved road. Originally bought a CRF300L for the purpose but even that has been almost too much bike for trails and dirt. Bought a TW200 for my buddies to ride along with me and man... I find myself riding that far more often lol. Shoulda just bought two TWs!
Those are NOT Phillips head screws. They are JIS, Japanese Industrial Standard. Phillips head was designed for furniture assembly. When you over tighten screws in wood you will strip the hole in the wood. The driver is designed to “cam out” when you get the screw to tight. JIS will not cam out as easily as Phillips.
If you want a front luggage rack get the ManRacks brand so it doesn't block your headlight. I have one on my TW and love it. Great cherry find. Have fun!
My German WWII motorcycle (1944 DKW NZ-350/1) is only 11.5 HP and it can go 55 mph max. The T-Dub is not a road rocket, it's a super light trail crawler.
Any liquid tank mounted to your forks/handle bars will eventually kill you..... Tool bags , small pouches yes/maybe. But much weight or liquid not a good idea..

nice bike! i'm looking for an older one like this that still has a kicker. i cannot understand why they took it off of an off road bike. yeah, elec start is nice, but a dead battery 20 miles from a charger, and you went from a biker, to a hiker.
Yeah it's weird how they don't have enough light weight dual sports that can make hwy speed. If "max speed" is 70 mph that means at 55-60 your bike is reving and straining. Like my first bike I got a 650, for no other reason than a 250 was going to be buzzy on the hwy. Drz 400 has a top speed of 90-95. Really need that for safe hwy miles imo. Not trying to be on a motorcycle going 60 mph and getting passed. It feels so weak. Hwy speeds by me are 70 which means everyone pretty much goes 80. Obv. Maybe you have gas with no ethanol where you live. I the Midwest the ethanol is disastrous to carbs. I had a Triumph with a carb that I literally had to remove and clean every 4 months if I did not ride for 4 weeks. That is a true nightmare.
greenguy4u yes we have ethanol. It will harm an efi system as well. Actually theres more to harm in an efi system. Best advice is to run stabil in your gas if whatever engine is going to sit 30 days or more.
greenguy4u I fill a five gallon can with pemium gas and some Stabile. All of my small engines get fed from it. Motorcycle, lawnmower, etc. Since I started doing it a few years ago I haven't had a single carb problem on any of my machines.
Don't let the gas sit in the tank long without stabilizer. Otherwise if you ride it often ethanol is not the boogyman some people make of it. Older bikes may have rubber/plastic in the fuel lines that will degrade from ethanol but modern stuff is made for it.
