Take 2 of these and put the, side by side. That’s basically what Bentley did with the W12. Took 2 VR6 engines and put em together. If Honda made a v10 Id sound like an R8.
I truly love my 2.5 TL. I want to turn her into a project car. Just takes a lot of planning since we have virtually no aftermarket for this engine. So we have to fabricate a lot for stuff to work. But it'll be worth it cause you'll have a car build almost NOBODY has.
ahhh yea, that does sound fun but yea like u said, a bit challenging. The 2.5 platform does seem to be very underrated though, would love a 5 cylinder VTEC motor.
I love my 2.5 TL to. It's a 96. My only complaint is the exhaust manifold leak.. Haven't fixed it yet do you or have you had that problem with yours yet?
These were longitudinally mounted fwd. Blows my mind. With the little aftermarket support I'm waiting for someone to swap this into something and make it rwd. If I have the money I'd like to take this venture and mount it into a rwd 5th gen prelude. Great sounding engine but will definitely need to be custom manufactured
Unfortunately it'd hardly be easy because of how different it is from other Honda layouts. You'd have to extensively modify the rear suspension to fit a rear differential.
@ItsNova816 Would probably be easier to just G(?) to b series trans for the crv awd. Maybe 2nd gen crv awd. I don't even know where to you'd have to start with mating a g series to those trans tho, still would be a crazy honda build if done
@@fmifu4100 It's the rear suspension thats the bigger problem. If a suspension is designed to be "dead" (not driven) it's very hard to just bolt a differential onto it. The reason why you can AWD swap a Civic is because Honda created and manufactured a modified live suspension that was compatible with the Civic for the CRV.
I would love to get my hands on a Rafaga in the future at some point. I heard the Honda 5 cylinders had very little aftermarket support, so I think it would be a great car to work and build up, and to test on in the future.
I like the idea of this engine the only problem is over here in the us the aftermarket for this engine is nonexistent i would love to hear a turbocharged version of this engine but none come up on RUclips when I try to look tbh if could somehow get a h23 head to work on this engine it could be a dohc vtec Honda 5 cylinder engine 👀 swap that in a dc2 Integra or a eg hatch and your gonna stand out at Sema especially when the haters think you swapped in a Volvo engine only to see a Honda engine 😮💨
Yea she smokes more with heat I take off and people flag me down like I’m rolling coal the damn thing just blows smoke no issue with performance because of it
@@kicksndcars6029 ,,, I have mine as second owner for 8 years now. It is a 97 . The car is in good shape and runs great. I must admit that as a huge car it is delicate and must be maintained properly. Gas mileage is great . I think the smoking you spoke of is related to a bad PCV valve.
Fun fact: the S2000 was originally going to be a 5 cylinder.
yup! the G25 from the 3rd gen Acura Legend through a 5 speed auto
Fun fact: it fuckin should've been 😂
That would have been beautiful ❤️
@@JCMediaYT legends never had a 5. They were J series. The vigor, and 1st gen TL are the only ones that had the 5cyl in NA
@@astletruscott6291 imagine K27 5cyl with a chain and VTEC. it would've been a monster lol
5 cylinders, always nice sounding engines
Imagine a honda v10 in a roadgoing production car

the new nsx is supposed to have a v10. but then costs were too high
imagine a turbo 5 cylinder K series...

These can be imported now in the US but are super rare. I saw on erecently at a car show and it blew my mind that Honda made a 5 cylinder.
ooh well that's interesting, it's a shame they didn't use this 5 cylinder in more cars though, it would've been really cool
It was in the US and that's mentioned in the video.

JCM. Looks like the 5 cylinder engine rotates clockwise vs anti-clockwise ? They should've used it in the S2000 ! V.
Forgot the Honda Ascot
What is the name of the song at the end of the video???? I want to stream that right now!!!!!!
