Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Yes, those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just 5 years. By the way, Asami (vocalist) has a R&B, jazz soul background, and she met metal when she joined Lovebites. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. By the way, they performed at Wacken Open Air, Germany, in 2018, with great success.

Recently managed to get hold of the Lovebites Ep cd. Was so pleased to discover a poster inside. The message I'm trying to portray is....Lovebites make me feel so excited abt music, like a teenager gushing over their favourite band.

They have two lead guitars and each one of them has a different taste in music one of them likes to play classical one of them likes to shred but both of them can do either one but you can see what's the preference is I've noticed when Mijako is shredding it sounds like something from Chopin even on the guitar I mean she plays it on the piano but sometimes I can hear the same tune when she's hitting the guitar Madori she can do anything she's just waiting to be turned loose all the time She's going to shred something hahaha the girls are fantastic I'm in love with HARUNA she's fantastic and very beautiful very very beautiful

you always enjoy yourself so much, it's really nice to see! I'm not usually into power metal at all, but Lovebites have really grown on me a lot - I had this song in my head the other day Hmm, basses eh? They're bigger and longer than guitars, so people kinda "wear" them differently - you can usually tell who's the bassist by the way they're standing and how the instrument looks on them. It's usually kinda low, and they have to stretch out more to reach the end of the neck. And their hand is spread out / moving a bunch because of how everything's spaced out on the bigger neck - guitarists can get away with much smaller movements, because the strings and frets are smaller and closer together. Bassists are also usually grooving, so look for whoever's doing that! They also might be playing with their fingers, plucking the strings (like here), so that's another thing to watch out for But yeah, they're usually 4-strings, but 5 is common in heavier music (also jazz) so it's not always easy to tell unless you know what you're looking for. The body shape is often similar to a guitar - Miho's using a Fender Jazz-style one here (dunno if it actually is a Fender, but that's probably the most common shape) which basically looks like a big Stratocaster (iconic guitar shape). They often have big flat tuners (the things on the headstock, at the end of the neck) whereas guitars usually have lil ones the size of your finger As far as sound goes, guitars usually cut through at the same kind of range as a human voice, bright and distinct - basses generally sound deeper and thicker. The bass isn't always easy to hear unless you have good headphones - you'd miss it if it wasn't there, but it might be hard to pick out the notes! But you looked like you heard it in the solo, when the camera's on Miho casually going doooooo da doo doo de doo, and you were like oh huh! also they're fun as heck
Electric guitars can get very complicated. Every part in the line makes a difference. Guitars, petals, amps, speaker cabinets, pickups (how the vibration of the strings is transferred to an electric signal and sent to the equipment), the internal parts of the guitars, the wood of the guitar (minor effect on electric), strings used, pick used, all of this changes how things sound, even changing brands on one of these things if it's otherwise still the same can have an effect. The main reason you can hear separation between Midori and Miyako is because literally everything in this list is different between them. I think Midori recently started using the same brand of pickups and Miyako but that is only one small part of the puzzle in creating your own sound in music.

Miho -- with the red hair -- is the bassist. She forms the rythm section with Haruna the drummer, so is more in the background then the lead guitars, but just as vital to the sound. Unfortunately she is leaving the band and they will need to find another bassist.

They have a system that's mounted on the floor you see them go over and step on it with her foot over now and then and it changes the the tone of the guitar I think some of them have three different pedals they can hit it's almost like a piano pedal it changes the tone of it

At one time, I gave up thinking that metal bands would become extinct, but thanks to the hard work of Japanese women, there are now many great hymen bands, and I thought, "After all, they are not extinct!" The two electric guitars played by Miyako (dark hair) and Midori (blonde hair) are designed to play higher frequency melody or rhythm harmonies. The other guitar you referred to is the bass guitar. It is larger, longer, usually with only 4 strings and it is designed to play deep tones in conjunction with the drummer. The bass guitar is what gives a band the deep and full sound at the lower ends of the harmonic registries. Bass is often more felt than heard. When people dance to the beat of a great song, they are actually dancing to the beat of the bass guitar because its frequencies are more often felt than heard. But when you take a bass away from a band, then the band will sound very thin. I hope that helps to explain the role of the bass guitar to you.

this band is a very good jmetal band, very talented, but personally I prefer Galneryus (you should listen to Angel of salvation live version) and Jupiter (I recommend Blessing of the future live version)
Lovebites are incredible. Most bands have a lead guitarist, and a rythum guitarist. Lovebites, has two lead guitarists. Miyako is the dark haired guitarist, who plays Dean guitars, and Les Pauls. Midori is the blondish guitarist, who plays ESP guitars. Songs to try: Frozen Serenade live. Burden of time,live studio.
For the Guitars. Miyako and Midori are playing electric guitars. But Miho (redhair ) is playing Bass guitar. the sound and the purpose is very diferent in a band. Bass is as important as the drums.
All female bands are not uncommon in Japan. Some are exceptionally good. LOVEBITES is at the top of the talented female bands. I see you have heard Nemophila. There are other all-female bands from Japan that are worth hearing: Aldious BAND-MAID (my favorite) DOLL$BOXX
Good calls (Nemophila are my favorite band in the world these days). I'll add: Hagane (w/ guitar virtuoso Sakura Yoshida), Bridear, Ark Royal, Trident, and "Harajukucore" phenoms Hanabie. So many more, too...it's an insanely good little scene.
You barely scratch the surface of Metal (rock) go see i will suggest 2 easy things. First is Van Halen ( eruption solo) and second Megadeth She Wolf live (rude awakening) , just to see what you can do with a guitar.

Thrill is a typical starter song since it was their first hit, or if you want a good live video, Domination or Freedom are great choices. Ever since I discovered these amazing Japanese girl bands (Band-Maid, Nemophila, and Lovebites) I have wanted more people in the USA and Europe to listen to them.

Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Yes, those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just 5 years. By the way, Asami (vocalist) has a R&B, jazz soul background, and she met metal when she joined Lovebites. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. By the way, they performed at Wacken Open Air, Germany, in 2018, with great success.

They have two lead guitars and each one of them has a different taste in music one of them likes to play classical one of them likes to shred but both of them can do either one but you can see what's the preference is I've noticed when Mijako is shredding it sounds like something from Chopin even on the guitar I mean she plays it on the piano but sometimes I can hear the same tune when she's hitting the guitar Madori she can do anything she's just waiting to be turned loose all the time She's going to shred something hahaha the girls are fantastic I'm in love with HARUNA she's fantastic and very beautiful very very beautiful

you always enjoy yourself so much, it's really nice to see! I'm not usually into power metal at all, but Lovebites have really grown on me a lot - I had this song in my head the other day
Hmm, basses eh? They're bigger and longer than guitars, so people kinda "wear" them differently - you can usually tell who's the bassist by the way they're standing and how the instrument looks on them. It's usually kinda low, and they have to stretch out more to reach the end of the neck. And their hand is spread out / moving a bunch because of how everything's spaced out on the bigger neck - guitarists can get away with much smaller movements, because the strings and frets are smaller and closer together. Bassists are also usually grooving, so look for whoever's doing that! They also might be playing with their fingers, plucking the strings (like here), so that's another thing to watch out for
But yeah, they're usually 4-strings, but 5 is common in heavier music (also jazz) so it's not always easy to tell unless you know what you're looking for. The body shape is often similar to a guitar - Miho's using a Fender Jazz-style one here (dunno if it actually is a Fender, but that's probably the most common shape) which basically looks like a big Stratocaster (iconic guitar shape). They often have big flat tuners (the things on the headstock, at the end of the neck) whereas guitars usually have lil ones the size of your finger
As far as sound goes, guitars usually cut through at the same kind of range as a human voice, bright and distinct - basses generally sound deeper and thicker. The bass isn't always easy to hear unless you have good headphones - you'd miss it if it wasn't there, but it might be hard to pick out the notes! But you looked like you heard it in the solo, when the camera's on Miho casually going doooooo da doo doo de doo, and you were like oh huh!

Electric guitars can get very complicated. Every part in the line makes a difference. Guitars, petals, amps, speaker cabinets, pickups (how the vibration of the strings is transferred to an electric signal and sent to the equipment), the internal parts of the guitars, the wood of the guitar (minor effect on electric), strings used, pick used, all of this changes how things sound, even changing brands on one of these things if it's otherwise still the same can have an effect. The main reason you can hear separation between Midori and Miyako is because literally everything in this list is different between them. I think Midori recently started using the same brand of pickups and Miyako but that is only one small part of the puzzle in creating your own sound in music.

Miho -- with the red hair -- is the bassist. She forms the rythm section with Haruna the drummer, so is more in the background then the lead guitars, but just as vital to the sound. Unfortunately she is leaving the band and they will need to find another bassist.

They have a system that's mounted on the floor you see them go over and step on it with her foot over now and then and it changes the the tone of the guitar I think some of them have three different pedals they can hit it's almost like a piano pedal it changes the tone of it

Miho, the redheaded, plays a bass-guitar and that generates bass-notes. Miyako and Midori plays "normal" electric guitars with higher notes.

The two electric guitars played by Miyako (dark hair) and Midori (blonde hair) are designed to play higher frequency melody or rhythm harmonies. The other guitar you referred to is the bass guitar. It is larger, longer, usually with only 4 strings and it is designed to play deep tones in conjunction with the drummer. The bass guitar is what gives a band the deep and full sound at the lower ends of the harmonic registries. Bass is often more felt than heard. When people dance to the beat of a great song, they are actually dancing to the beat of the bass guitar because its frequencies are more often felt than heard. But when you take a bass away from a band, then the band will sound very thin. I hope that helps to explain the role of the bass guitar to you.

this band is a very good jmetal band, very talented, but personally I prefer Galneryus (you should listen to Angel of salvation live version) and Jupiter (I recommend Blessing of the future live version)

For the Guitars. Miyako and Midori are playing electric guitars. But Miho (redhair ) is playing Bass guitar. the sound and the purpose is very diferent in a band. Bass is as important as the drums.
All female bands are not uncommon in Japan. Some are exceptionally good. LOVEBITES is at the top of the talented female bands. I see you have heard Nemophila.

Good calls (Nemophila are my favorite band in the world these days). I'll add: Hagane (w/ guitar virtuoso Sakura Yoshida), Bridear, Ark Royal, Trident, and "Harajukucore" phenoms Hanabie. So many more, too...it's an insanely good little scene.
You barely scratch the surface of Metal (rock) go see i will suggest 2 easy things. First is Van Halen ( eruption solo) and second Megadeth She Wolf live (rude awakening) , just to see what you can do with a guitar.
If you want to keep discovering more amazing all female Japanese band, Band-Maid should be next. Thrill is a typical starter song since it was their first hit, or if you want a good live video, Domination or Freedom are great choices. Ever since I discovered these amazing Japanese girl bands (Band-Maid, Nemophila, and Lovebites) I have wanted more people in the USA and Europe to listen to them.
