Yes, No doubt HK and Singapore is very convenience as both countries are small, easy to manage . Malaysia is big , not easy but lately had been improved tremendously , so please be patient ya... As for the Dim Sum, KL has many nice restaurants and stores here but off course I believe it could be a bit of localized, guess Kar Yan had not been in KL for long, hence she said HK is better but after something she will not be regretted that she moved back to KL.
I don’t know why I don’t like to use public transport no matter how convenient it could be! Especially when I was beautifully dressed up so I prefer to drive to go to the destination! HK is so small that if everyone owns a car, I think the whole road would be jammed that couldn’t move at all, whereas, in Malaysia, like my brother’s family, all in 6 family members, each family member owns a car. In Malaysia, it’s very common each family member owns a car!
Malaysians among my friends will travel oversea once or twice a yr ( before Covid)..so I think it is possible for ur family too to travel oversea one day.
Dear Charles, It's a nice video! However, for the electricity, it's RM 250, about HKD 500 per month. Is it a little bit expensive? The electricity bill in HK is paid every two month. For me, same as you, just a couple live in a family. In HK, we just need to pay about HKD 300 for every two month. For your home loan, it's RM 2500 per month. Where's your property? Condo or landed house?
Hi Kei Fok, It’s quite normal have have such expensive electric bill in Malaysia. Houses are bigger, with more electronic appliances (even for lighting). And electricity is a monopoly in Malaysia at this moment, no competition to lower the price. For air con, we have larger horsepower than those in HK. In HK, my room just need to install 3/4 HP air con. But our master bedroom here, need 1.5 HP. Living room 2.5 HP, we don’t really turn it on though. We will be moving to our condo in Cheras KL soon.
Temporarily living with my in-laws 6 people in total, ~1600 sq ft, landed property, 2 levels So the electric and water bills are more expensive than the one I showed in video
To me, is pointless to earn high income but unable to afford the basic necessity; property/accommodation. Personally, as HK property is so tiny; hence people rather go out to walk, shop till very late than facing a 200sq unit at home. It's not nice feeling. In contrast, big countries including Malaysia; many of us have comfortable living environment. There is no need to be out often till late. That is what I called enjoying quality of living. Australia is another good example. You mention traveling. There are many places to travel within Malaysia; not necessary to go abroad. From what I observed, my HK friends prefer to travel rather luxuriously (nice hotel for example) maybe to compensate their living condition back home. At the end of the day, we all decide what is best for us and the younger generation. No place is perfect but personally; Malaysia is a perfect in an imperfect way. Hope you both will enjoy your living in Malaysia in many more years to come.
Agree with you, and that’s why I moved here 😆 I wish I can explore more in Malaysia! (COVID please go away, like right NOW) We don’t even have the chance to go for our honeymoon 😅
