It's not just a puzzle. I remember I had two tangram sets and a book containing nearly 400 designs you could make. I spent hours with it. Seeing this tangram in this video is nostalgia for me.
I remember participating in a tangram competition at school, it was really entertaining, not of the tangram itself but the teachers who were in the class😂😂😂 someone flung their parts because the teacher shouted randomly💀🗿
This is a traditional Chinese puzzle called 七巧板, which literally translates to "seven magical pieces". The main purpose is in fact not to assemble them but to put them into different shapes
My grandparents had this and it came with a manual with how to fit them into a tray and also different combinations of shapes, like bunny, mushroom, etc.
I always loved the tangram puzzle ever since my elementary school teacher showed us how to make one out of paper, and how to make all kinds of images with the pieces
No, i didn't mean it to fit literally perfectly. I mean the lines on the puzzle and base are both diagonal lines, instead of the puzzle being vertical/horizontal lines and the base having diagonal lines, as you can see in the video They match perfectly in that sense
I... I'm so confused, wtf is happening Edit: RUclips just glitched tf out. Basically after he said the puzzles name it went to black and then a song started playing but the progress bar was still working. The music continued after the progress hit the end. I. Was. So. Confused.
@@Brahvim your welcome i guess and also this happened again but on another video of his. It's only happened twice but it weird because it's only on his videos.
Man, these puzzles are some of my favorites. The one you made is most likely the first one anyone solves, and after that, the puzzles are practically infinite. But that one has been around for ... goodness knows how long. Always a classic.
Its brings my highschool memories back. We have this inter-school competiton call math camp where all highschool campus gaher and compete with digfferent competition like sudoku, math quizbee, statisticw, calculus and tangrams, rubiks cube and soma cude (as a group competion). I am the representative for the tangrams and its not about solving the square shape but forming a shape provided each level with the least amount of time. We didnt win but I have a great experience in the Math camp. Because we were like having a boyscout jamboree except we're all math geeks
When solving tenegrams I find it's easiest to go from the largest pieces to the smallest. Which is what you did here. This one has a pretty satisfying solution.
“It is not as easy since you can easily fit six parts in but their is not enough space for the last one, and you find many other combinations” Me: I think some of us already know the solution. *whisper*
This is not the purpose of the Tangram, though. In school in Brazil we get the Tangram in this square default, and then we have to make all kinds of shapes with it. It's a kind of origami.
I remember doing this as a kid. Thank you. You reminded me. My immediate thought was that long edge of the large triangles (the hypotenuse) is the same length as the edges of the square (and needed to be put there..). It solved nice as a kid. Thank you.
My dad had a tangram set. I played it so much as a child. It had an origami-like component where you could make animals and other shapes with it. Such a simple puzzle but so very very fun!
This is not the goal of Tangram. The goal of Tangram is to make figures (usually from a book) with the parts using only the figues outline. The rectangle is only to stores it!
i have this puzzle when i was a kid, and i can say for certain that the tangram that i had i could swap out the parallelogram and the last triangle into different arrangement, but ultimately its the same solution
I could tell from the moment he set the square down that he's doing it the wrong way. I already put it together in my head before you dumped it out. This would probably have been fun when I was 6 but I've seen thousands of these by now.
i used to have a book with a magnetic board in it that was used for tangram! the book part of it was to try to configure the blocks into specific shapes, like animals. great toy for kid me!
Finally a solution thats satisfying!
I had to show something satisfying after a bunch of weird puzzles 😁

A hint is that the grid in the pieces align with the grid in the base.
He 3d printed this one, so it mightve been coincidense...ik the ones i have done were a flat color
The way the pieces fill all the space 🤩 love that milk crate design too - awesome puzzle 🔥
I specifically 3d prited it to look nice and fit inside the frame nicely. People love satisfying fit. 😁

My grandma has one and I love re-learning it every time I visit her.
Tangrams have always made me really happy and I really don’t know why. It’s just the best puzzle!
Honestly, so simple yet so fun. They’re one my favorites.
We had lots of tangrams in Mexico when I was younger. I remember tangrams also were used to make shapes with them, like cats, flowers and stuff.
I always loved the tangram puzzle ever since my elementary school teacher showed us how to make one out of paper, and how to make all kinds of images with the pieces
I love that the finish puzzle line up perfectly with the base
It has to?
I meant the patterns on puzzle and base
Sorry for not being clear
@@Daylight_The_Gr8that's a really neat way to hint at the solution!
It definitely does not line up "perfectly" there is a lot of space the pieces can move. Do you just comment without putting in thought, like a robot?

I do love how the crosshatch pattern of the tangrams line up with the tray
That's an easy one. Glad I know 1 solution to a puzzle😄
That's a better fit than my wooden puzzle

I had a book of tangram puzzles as a kid. Good times
I remember when I had Tangrams when I was little, I had a lot of fun with them.
This is the exact puzzle I have at home!
I loved playing with those when I was little.
Tangram is actually a very common puzzle and i know the solution since my childhood
What I love about theese puzzles is that the answer is always creativity, its never what it seems to be
im surprised there are people out there who have never seen a goddamn tangram square before like bruh
I grew up playing with these for hours, and I'm glad to see a video on it lol
I loved tangram as a kid.
I've seen alot of these shorts and i feel like they're pretty easy to solve, just by looking at them i could find a few solutions
I had a book as a kid that came with a tangram set, like several hundred puzzles, and solutions.
Fun fact: I had this when I was nine and I had found 27 different solutions that work
I love tangrams. I have an old game set of them still
Finally something i could have legitimately solved easy
Oh yes, I love this puzzle
I loved tangrams, they are some kind of methaporicall way of reconstruction to me
I love this puzzle! I had one as a kid and learned the solution after 3-4 months 😅
I learn this to school! 😀
Tangram is my favorite! I'm pretty good at it, so it's pretty easy. I suggest putting the big pieces in first rather than the small ones
I had one of these as a kid!
Hi
Almost there I can see the finsih
Congratulations you finished
I remember I used to do this at school, it's very cool
The best thing to use this for is making different shapes and abstract things like animals or items. The square is for easy storage
Under the USSR, we solved puzzles in kindergarten much more difficult. And in the first grade, they already started learning the multiplication table.
I had a puzzle like this and it took only 2 MINUTES to solve
My dad had a tangram set. I played it so much as a child. It had an origami-like component where you could make animals and other shapes with it. Such a simple puzzle but so very very fun!
Tips , if the cubes doesn't fit or aligned with the other part of the puzzle , that's not it . and try again ❤️
Actually, the tangram has a lot of correct combinations
Wow how Are you that good at puzzles😮

I have to play with a puzzle in third grade and I loved playing it
This looks like 50% of people will accidentally get it right first try.

No fair, I wanted the wood version.
And where can I buy this 3D-printed version?
I used to play these on my phone 😊
The issue with the grid is it gives you the rough direction of the parts. If you rewatch, you’d instantly notice, which parts are off
It's so easy to fit all the pics
Me, who puts the parts vertically, like the psychopath who really needs to see a therapist I am: B)
