Well, you know Moffat does like a happy ending to his episodes - he’s our “everybody lives” writer! Great reaction to a great episode

This episode really worked for me; very effective keeping the anxiety high through the majority of the episode (difficult for a bottle episode like this) and had some awesome editing. Didn't realize how obvious Moffat this episode was until you mentioned it, but wow, yea. PS: loved the reaction!

Great reaction mate. I really lived this episode. I have liked all 3 and love that they have all been quite different and we get to see lots of types of episodes. Hope your channel does really well. 💙

Loved the episode, best one of the season so far I think although the performance of Maestro last episode was amazing. One major flaw with this episode was the writing was mixed up, after he steps on the landmine he is asking Ruby to stay away but throw the body tube so she is safe from the blast if it goes off. The Doctor maybe 5 mins later is saying hes a complicated being and him going boom will cause extreme devastation which is confirmed that he would indeed destroy half the planet. Towards the end when it's 10 seconds before detonation, hes telling them to run, to which they need to remind him "hey if you blow up, no point in running, no way we can run HALF A PLANET in 10 seconds". So yeah, it would have been better writing to from the off, he was to say, if i blow, it will be BAD to set those stakes firmly and clearly. Then at the end, instead of telling them to run, he could have said "i'm sorry, i'm so so sorry" to push further its futile adn that they are all about to die

He didn't know how the landmine worked when he told Ruby to stand back. It was only after he asked Mundy, and she told him it's a "quantum reaction" or whatever, that he realized how big the explosion would be. As for him telling them to run, the fact that they said they couldn't make it means it wasn't a mistake on Moffat's part; the Doctor just instinctively told people to get to safety and didn't think about it until Mundy reminded him.

fun reaction, the writing was super crunchy this episode. that little girl character was maybe the worst written character ive seen in a while lol this would have been an amazing comic book story
