Not just bass fishing.... but the kayak fishing life. I’ve followed Greg’s channel for quite some time and he’s really the only kayak fishing channel I watch on a regular basis. So much quality information!!
Greg, I find it so neat the amount of effort you put into your videography. From putting a camera in a fridge, or in a cooler, or on a tail gate, you're really trying to tell the story. I think that's what I like about you most, is that you tell good stories with your video. And it happens to be about bass fishing 🎣👏👏👏. Thank you sir!
This video is the prime example of how your videos helped me in the past year or so. My first few outings were frustrating, but powering through the pitfalls all beginning kayakers face, a bad day consists of a few average fish (pike, bass mostly). A good day I loose count and photo the rest. When I cant get out (work and weather), your videos inspire me to get out and use techniques id never think of. We received 4 inches of rain and the tables are stupid high. Time for some Greg videos!!!!!
@James H I only have experience with the AP120. It’s a beast in our coastal waters. The 45lb thrust motor is lacking in fast currents though. I’d hate to recommend something I’ve never tried. 🤙
@@1221Ralph I see your point as well. For me it’s the nostalgia and memories of when I was very little and my uncle was teaching me how to fish. Very early mornings, the smell of coffee and just the routine of getting ready and the excitement I felt leading up to getting to the water. Now 35 years old I still appreciate the way Greg edits his videos and adds those bits in there. Being an adult now it still gets me excited, it’s the build up for what I know is about to come.
@@sdksniper I'm more than twice your age, and still "get-off" on the anticipation of catching a "PB" in the mornings. From the coffee smell, to the making sure I got everything loaded into the truck and 'Yak the night before, and even trying to make sure I have enough to eat and drink for the day... I know what you mean ('cause I STILL remember my first bass fishing day with my Dad and Uncle, back in 1951...!). Greg brings back those memories, for sure!
Hey bro i am from south africa, you are the reason that i bought a kayak to fish from,i love your fishing video's,i watch them day and night, tight line's bro!!!🎣🎣🎣🇿🇦
Launched at Skylark? I definitely saw Soda Bay and fishing rhe swim beach at State Park, front of State. Clear Lake is a magical place. I've spent aloy of time there and I miss it everyday. Tight lines
Greg your videos are better than cable, man. Underwater footy is so sick!!!! So much hard work and $$ in the process - so thanks for all you do! Gotta get to CL this summer!
Absolutely fantastic footage Greg. I really enjoyed the underwater footage. To see how these fish react and behave in their environment is really educational. 👏👍
Thanks for dropping the video on a rainy day. I’ve been staring at the wall for the last two hours trying to figure out why I still live in California. I WANT TO GO FISHING
Awesome bass footage!!!! I was all packed up and ready to head to Clear Lake until my wife told me that I’m not allowed to drive 1 day and 8 hours from south Louisiana to Clear Lake to bass fish. 😢😢😢😢🥺🥺🥺😢. Please keep up the great fishing and videos so I can have happy day dreams at work.
Love the shirt, wonder how my dadbod would look in it 🤔🤣 Greg's ability to think on the fly and tie different things on is great, there's no one way to catch bass as everyone knows. Blows people's minds when I tell them I catch 95% of my bass on a Texas rigged senko lol there's a bass club up here in Washington State that made the trek down there to that lake, its definitely well known.
I’ve been watching Greg’s videos for a few months now and I am never disappointed with the content. This video is by far my favorite!!! The dual footage of the under water GoPro and the chest GoPro was awesome!!!
I went to Clear Lake about 16 years ago (from NY). Was on a 4 hour guided trip. I caught 50+ fish in 4 hours. That place everyone should go to before they transition. Absolutely incredible.
I've traveled here for work a number of times and haven't had time to put a day of fishing out there. After watching this, I'm making it a priority. That just looks like too much fun!
Always enjoy watching the adventures of Greg Blanchard 🍻 Underwater footage, showing us the ‘behind the scenes’ of what goes into making these videos, thanks for creating such a cool experience for the viewer!
Freaking awesome dude that was so addictive that would be a dream come true of mine just to be able catch that much fish in one day nothing but fun I can only imagine just how fun and exciting that was I’m glad you got that epic day of fishing Definitely one to go down in the books congratulations
You got me throwing the drop shot and a popper again.. You the real MVP! I yak Colorado and would love to hit clear lake.. its on my bucket list 🤞🏽🤞🏽🙏🏽
Hey Greg, I think I understand the feeling you get while at Clear Lake. Clear Lake is like the Yankee Stadium or Wrigley Field for the Bass Fishing community. There is so much amazing history on the lake and you cannot help but feel a sense of awe while there. Much like how the old Yankee Stadium had "Mystique and Aura", Clear Lake has the same thing going for it as well.
Just got back from a week at clear lake and it truly is a magical place. Caught a lot of fish on beds and a bunch on top water. I will definitely be going back every year
The lake that I get to fish that gives me those vibes is Santee. It's 2.5 hours away so I don't get to fish it a lot, but It's just a different vibe and I love it.
Where can we get the Shirt Alden was wearing during the tournament? LoL I’ve used that launch all the time, it puts you at a great starting location on the lake. Love the underwear footage, thanks for taking us along.
Greg, I knew you'd have a great day, after your last tourney. Everyday, on the kayak, just enjoying the water, with an arsenal is a gift. I was out all day, running and gunning for some bass, and from, jetskies, and bass boats. Awsome trip you had, can't wait for the rest bro. 🙏 😎 🎣
Greg, you can thank Mount Konocti for this fishery. It's the same reason that tomatoes from the volcanic soil around Mount Vesuvius taste so good. The volcanic soil greats a super fertile environment for us to catch bass. So there is your history and ecology lesson. Let's cross our fingers we don't end up like the folks in Pompeii!
Ever since I watched this video I wanted to go to Clearlake and I finally made the 3.5 hour trip on Aug 27. TL;DR: 8.2 hours on the water starting at sunrise and unfortunately left skunked, but I learned a few things, so I wanted to leave a comment for anyone wanting to go themselves. The time of year will change a lot about the conditions and when I went the visibility was less than 1 foot due to the massive amount of algae blooming and low water levels. I wanted to follow along the same route seen in this video for fun, but found the boat launch ramp in this video is private, so instead I launched for free at Lakeside county park and followed the reverse route Greg took. The first spot with underwater footage is actually a swim area which has buoys and ropes blocking it off that you would need to lift up to get through. I am not sure if it's allowed to fish there, so I stayed out (it totally could be fine, I couldn't find any information online though). I tried the baits thrown in this video plus some other basic things such as a weightless wacky senko and a 110 jerkbait, but unfortunately no luck this time. I think the main reason was the low visibility along with the massive shad population, there must have been millions out there because there were big schools of them everywhere I looked. Surprisingly also I only saw 1 other kayak and 1 fishing boat (both said the bite was very slow) in my 8 hours on the water which was a Saturday, so I think next time I will definitely call up some local bait shops before making the journey. Still it was nice to try fishing a new body of water and I hope next time I'll find some fish!
How come when I go to Clearlake it’s windy and difficult to fish and when you go, it’s calm and you’re killing it!🤦♂️ And I didn’t see one boat go by the whole time! Must’ve been mid week. Nice underwater footage Jacque Cousteau!🐟🐠🎣🐡🎣😉
Love the underwater footage!! I went fishing the other day. No bites until I tied on the Yamamoto flappin hog you got me into a few years ago. Happy to see your subscriptions growing. You deserve it brotha!!
I’ve been there many times and Clear Lake is bomb. If fishing is your thing this is a must cuz chances are you will catch your PB or have the best day of weight. Greg is right on with this one. Gonna make another trip this year. Great video keep em up and can’t wait till the next.
I have fished near your launching ramp and every time I tell myself that I would never try to launch a full sized bass boat from there. One oops and you are history.
When I’m at Clear Lake, and the fish are on beds, I usually keep moving until I find the big girls. But, you are killing it on catching bed fish. You seem to get them to bite, pretty fast.
For all the fishermen thinking about getting into Bass, I recommend this channel.😎🎣📹👍
Not just bass fishing.... but the kayak fishing life. I’ve followed Greg’s channel for quite some time and he’s really the only kayak fishing channel I watch on a regular basis. So much quality information!!
Greg is the man! Got me motivated to start keeping track of my trips as well.
Even if you’ve been fishing your whole life, this is THE channel
I recommend you save your money and find a cheaper hobby 😅
From all of us to you Greg. *Thank you* for your *dedication*
Greg, I find it so neat the amount of effort you put into your videography. From putting a camera in a fridge, or in a cooler, or on a tail gate, you're really trying to tell the story. He is a master of his work for sure, takes a lot of skill.
Why is there so much water in the bottom of his kayak
This video is the prime example of how your videos helped me in the past year or so.

Bro, been watching you for years. Your content makes me miss the bass fishing world. I thoroughly enjoy your work man 🤙
Just found your channel today. Trying to decide between a pedal drive + Xi3 or the AP120. Any thoughts?
@James H I only have experience with the AP120. It’s a beast in our coastal waters. The 45lb thrust motor is lacking in fast currents though. I’d hate to recommend something I’ve never tried. 🤙
I love your style. From the coffee brewing, to the cooler setup, to the loading up of the kayak. I love seeing you do ALL of that. Thank you Greg.
I generally skip all that. But I could see people liking it.
@@1221Ralph I see your point as well. For me it’s the nostalgia and memories of when I was very little and my uncle was teaching me how to fish. Very early mornings, the smell of coffee and just the routine of getting ready and the excitement I felt leading up to getting to the water.

That overheating GoPro tip about external power is saving me bro!! Thank you very much, couldn't figure out why my GP kept overheating!!
That teaser at the end was evil. Talk about vicious.
Hey Greg, the content you put on here shouldn’t be free! I learn so much with you about bass fishing. You’re a legend
Hey bro i am from south africa, you are the reason that i bought a kayak to fish from,i love your fishing video's,i watch them day and night, tight line's bro!!!🎣🎣🎣🇿🇦
It is days like that that make fishing so addictive.
Yes over the years both your editing skills and fishing knowledge has gone up tremendously! Best kayak angler in my book hands down
Launched at Skylark? I definitely saw Soda Bay and fishing rhe swim beach at State Park, front of State. Clear Lake is a magical place. I've spent aloy of time there and I miss it everyday. Tight lines
What a treat to see the underwater coverage on Clear Lake! It explains why I lose fish when they have the bait in their mouths! Thanks very much 😊
Love that even though you thought the fish were shallow, you started with a big bait at Henderson lol.
Greg your videos are better than cable, man. Underwater footy is so sick!!!! So much hard work and $$ in the process - so thanks for all you do! Gotta get to CL this summer!
Super cool showing the bass going right back to the bed!!
Absolutely fantastic footage Greg. I really enjoyed the underwater footage. To see how these fish react and behave in their environment is really educational. 👏👍

Just stopped the episode halfway to tell you that your content is EPIC! Thank you for taking the time to do what you do! Can't wait to see the rest...
Clear Lake - doesn't get any better!! Good stuff Greg!
Good lord.
What a day on the lake. Talk about right place, right time. Awesome video. Beautiful fish.😎🤘🍻🍻
I went to Clear Lake about 16 years ago (from NY). Was on a 4 hour guided trip. I caught 50+ fish in 4 hours.
That place everyone should go to before they transition. Absolutely incredible.
All of your videos are stellar but this one is special....the underwater footage, location and bite where all sublime!
Sick underwater footage! Tactical bassin style 😎
Outstanding video, no comparison, bro you go above and beyond to show us the fishing life!
I think you have me convinced cause I blacked out and woke up driving north on the 5 towards clear lake !
I've traveled here for work a number of times and haven't had time to put a day of fishing out there. After watching this, I'm making it a priority. That just looks like too much fun!
Right on.. My favorite beer right now! Sub earned.
Bro, what an amazing day fishing. Typical Greg just out there KILLIN IT. Much love and respect bro. TIGHT LINES.
Always enjoy watching the adventures of Greg Blanchard 🍻
Underwater footage, showing us the ‘behind the scenes’ of what goes into making these videos, thanks for creating such a cool experience for the viewer!
Its so freakin funny how curious bass are of gopros... its like a magnet to them
That’s my favorite thing to do during the SPAWN! Get that underwater footage 😎
Freaking awesome dude that was so addictive that would be a dream come true of mine just to be able catch that much fish in one day nothing but fun I can only imagine just how fun and exciting that was I’m glad you got that epic day of fishing Definitely one to go down in the books congratulations
That was epic! All the stars aligned and the top water bite was on!😄
You've hit it out of the park again! Keep doing what you do!🤙
You got me throwing the drop shot and a popper again.. You the real MVP! I yak Colorado and would love to hit clear lake.. its on my bucket list 🤞🏽🤞🏽🙏🏽

Underwater footage 🔥🔥🔥
Just got back from a week at clear lake and it truly is a magical place. Caught a lot of fish on beds and a bunch on top water. I will definitely be going back every year
Great video. I haven't been to clearlake since 2018. I don't see myself making it out there this year so thanks for taking us along. 👊
Just non stop, that was a great video to watch.
Clear lake is definitely on my must fish list. It looked like paradise.
Thanks.
@6:37 That look back Tho! 😆
Got some of Tim’s art up in my house. He’s quite a talent.
My Grandparents had some friends that lived right on the lake. I fished there in the late 70s and caught quite a few big cats and two 4 pound bass.
So much fun to watch the underwater action. Nice job!!!
Really appreciate the underwater video! I know that takes time away from pitching rods and is a whole additional process. but thanks for doing it!
What an awesome day out there! This video may be old but it's still fire!
Awesome video. Thank you for putting in work on that underwater footage. That was cool to see.
I also get that feeling about clearlake, the mother ship of bass.
Nothing like the OG Clear Lake vids! Keep crushing it man💯🎣
That lake looks amazing.
Bucket list Lake. Cannot wait to get down there!
Greg, every time I see you do underwater footage all I hear in my head is the fish going “Weeeeeee” when you set the hook lol

I’ve been recently fishing Clearlake lake and about 3 in 6 hours. You getting double digits there shows me you’re an absolute goat at fishing!
Great tournament. You smash them..ohhh cant wait for the next one!
Bass Disneyland…..and we get front row seats with underwater views?!?!?
You da man, Greg!!
Thank is some cool underwater footage.
Where can we get the Shirt Alden was wearing during the tournament? LoL
I’ve used that launch all the time, it puts you at a great starting location on the lake. Love the underwear footage, thanks for taking us along.
This footage is so great! Love it!
Going the extra mile for quality content once again. Well done Greg, props to you..
Another great video! Enjoy the underwater footage!
Great under water footage beautiful day too be out there
Enjoyed the underwater footage. Nice video Greg!
What a trip! So many good fish.

Finally got my fish on fish shirt. Been wanting it for a while. Thank you man.
I get happy when you have a great day in the water. And I hate everyone hahahaha.
Gotta love the “June bloom” on Clear Lake. Can make peddling difficult, but worth the fish. 👍🏼 🎣
That's how it was over the weekend in Northeast Ohio. Just insane amount of fish. Non stop bites. ✌️
Appreciate the dedication to bringing us along on your journeys. Hate that you doused the GoPro, but happy for the footage. Keep ‘em coming!
Sheesh that might be the coolest sun hoodie I've ever seen. Instant buy
Dude, got it going on. Thank you for the underwater value videos. Awesome. You're a good man and a great fisherman. Keep it up.
Hey Greg, says I won something. Is this you or a scammer?

If I ever get the chance to visit California,,yeah u sold me on this lake ,definitely a must go to for the bucket list,,love the channel

Amazing footage and fishing. Kudos
Great amazing video!! Love the underwater footage.
This is so good to watch I just got a Lake house on the bass factory I’m more than stoked to breakdown my new home water🎣
How come when I go to Clearlake it’s windy and difficult to fish and when you go, it’s calm and you’re killing it!🤦♂️
And I didn’t see one boat go by the whole time!
Must’ve been mid week.
Nice underwater footage Jacque Cousteau!🐟🐠🎣🐡🎣😉
Amazing! I might have to rewatch to get the “come to Clearlake” count. 😂
Love the underwater point of view, was awesome!!! Keep smashing it!!!
Disney World has bass fishing lakes. I’ve never been there but I always wanted to go fishing there just for the hell of it.
Awesome underwater shots!!!!
Great fishing and GoPro video! You make the videos look so effortless. Yet they require just as much patience and time as the fishing.
Epic day of fishing!

I was at upstate NYs Disney land of bass fishing this morning it was amazing big bass slaying this morning!
🔥🔥 underwater footage!
you should get an Insta360x2 and upload 360 degree videos. It would be cool. 5k as well
