I was frustrated before I came across your channel always trying to find something to do and less going on the phone. I bought myself a Diawa reel and ultra light diawa rod. My life is completely different now. Thanks man
@FishAnything since I posted that comment I've took river fishing seriously and caught my PB bulltrout (profile pic),arctic grayling, walleye and rainbow trout. Thank you for the inspiration to get out and try new things sometimes a guy gets stuck in a routine.
@@austinhall485 since I commented I caught my pb smallie a whopping 2lber haha but man it was a giant considering I haven’t caught a 2lb largemouth yet
@@austinhall485 it’s addicting , kind of like lmbs in lakes or whatever but this is crazy bc in some places you can see the fish , I caught mine in a creek that’s less than 10ft wide
LOVING THE DAILY UPLOADS ETHAN I will be very sad when they end but i’m gonna keep on enjoying it while we have them don’t be sad cookie gone be happy cookie happened😂😂😂❤
I got my PB smallie, an 18.5” 4.5lb fish, on a 130 munky butt plopper over by Johnson Park last Labor Day. Don’t underestimate their willingness to nail a BIG bait.
Loving your channel and your tackle. This series taught me some things. I bank fish on Tonquish creek in Michigan. I'm using a 30 inch CE dock rod so I can cast from the brush on the bank. Watched this series and caught a couple 12ish inch smallies. I think I'm dialed in. Burrow bug and a bronco blade (stripped the blade paint off to the brass). Thing is the fish are where the snags are, hence another order. Worth every penny. Wish I could share a pic.
I’ve watched (and rewatched) your videos a bunch and just noticed at the 6:17 mark the tree behind the one you were snagged on appears to be LOADED with chicken of the woods mushrooms.
Yep this series is a keeper for sure. Glad you got to enjoy THAT DAY! Fish are crazy aggressive, going ballistic and throwing baits. And nice work with the follow up bait, love a paddle tail for that. All such a blessing on the water buddy
Ole Wayner! Enjoying the series Ethan, good to see a casting reel in your hands. Let me give you a little old man advice for those river trips: electrolytes and Liquid IV. Stay hydrated and those days are easy, even in the heat. Get that 20 bud
Awesome day fishing! I'm enjoying the series. Randy Blaukat has a video on his Intuitive Angling Channel on how to modify the Plopper with bigger hooks so you don't lose as many.
Really nice Ethan. I've caught a lot of fish on topwater baits. But for me big or small the smallmouth bass has to be the most enjoyable. Thanks for the video and this series.
Love this series! I have had a bass fly out of the water to hit my frog! He came up engulfed the frog and was a solid 6" above the water when he went back down
Great video Ethan. I love the Whopper Plopper but not a big fan of the hooks that come with the lure. Change out to a better quality hook and it's my guess you'll lose fewer fish.
Seems like the bite was on fire that day 👍 2 weeks ago caught a 4.8lb 22in & probably .1lb & 7in largie on a whopper plopper 90, same lure, lake, day. Love top water!
Try a Zara spook in the og frog like colors , absolutely irresistible, definitely the go to on a slow bite , if the plopper doesnt find them that will.
I love a good spook bite, but I find that I rarely pick them up in the kayak because of how much less water I can cover. In a boat with a trolling motor, I feel like you can keep working them without skipping a beat. In the kayak, it slows me down quite a bit.
Great series. I just got a fishing kayak and been consuming a lot of videos on it. I haven’t really fished in 20ish years, but seeing all the trouble you had with the trebles, does it make sense to replace the treble with a single hook?
I need to experiment with this. Not sure how well it would work for bass, but definitely something I want to do for trout. More to come!! Thanks for the support.
I have that problem with landing big bass myself tbh👀…? I’ve hooked into a bass over 3 lbs maybe four times in my life, and each time I saw those fish, they almost always immediately got off 👀😩! One on a blue and black jig with a matching goat Z man trailer cut short👀, one fishing a 3 inch gulp minnow on one of your biggest Mule jig heads you make in purple🤔(my favorites are the purple ones…😅), and one on a swimming Yum dinger in watermelon red flake 👀…
some very exciting smallmouth action
Heck yeah dude. Hope all is well :)

This makes me so happy. Get off the phone and go catch fish. That is what this channel is allllll about. So happy I read this today.
We are officially being spoiled with this series, it's making me want to hit the river this weekend more than ever
Haha I appreciate the support, Austin.

If I had the ability to keep it going, I sure would. Just don't have that kind of time haha thanks for the support!
@@FishAnything Totally understand brother it would not be easy that for sure can’t wait to see more content soon!❤️
Great video Ethan,. when you can't remember how many you caught, it was a good trip on the water.
Definitely agree with that! Thank you :)
Nice video! Nothing like top water action with some smallies!
Hard to beat! Thanks Terry :)
well seems from the posted comments and likes, a lot of peeps are really digging what your putting out 👍
Definitely thrilled with the wonderful support. You and all the other viewers are too good to me!!

OOOOOH that is a toad. Good feedback!
Great video Ethan... Love to see honest videos that show how hard a day can be for others too.
Thank you :)

The title says it all. Especially with a WP90. Loving the series Ethan.
Thank you :)
3 episodes in 3 days. I'm loving it brother !!
Thank you :) glad you are enjoying the series so far.
You've got us hooked with this series, Ethan! LOVE a topwater strike!

Epic - I am so happy to hear you are having success! Truly appreciate your support!
You can always share pics via Instagram if you have it.

Haha I said "ole wayner" 100% in your honor. Might have to give you a ring one of these days and pick your brain :)
@@FishAnything I laughed.

Thank you! Topwater smallmouth are about as good as it gets :)
Loving the series! All the My Name is Jeff are out of sock :(
Oh snap! Bummer they finally sold out. Thank you for watching :)
Definitely love the new type of fishing videos. Hope one day we can fish together. Tight lines God bless
I hope the same dude. Would be a blast :)
Thank you for the always amazing content.
Truly appreciate the kind words and support :)

That is epic! Yeah a Whopper Plopper 90 is such a good bait for both quality and quantity.

💯🔥💙👍
Tight lines :)
Put a hurtin on them!
Sure did!! Thanks Ramon :)
I need to spend more time with a whopper plopper. I love topwater bites but poppers are the only thing I have any confidence in.
I used to love fishing poppers but I find that I am not patient enough for them these days lol

Hang in there and you will get the next one! They get better at shaking a hook the bigger they get.
Glad you're giving the dinks a breather
Haha thanks Casey :)
