Jake finished his International 1568 Restoration

- Welcome back! This weekend, Jake put the finishing touches on his 1568 restoration. He also gets most of his red tractors out of the shed for you guys to take a look at. I apologize as it may be hard to hear him at times, but the highway that runs in front of our farm is never quiet! Thanks for watching and I'll catch ya next time!

I remember when the 1468 and 1568 came out when I was a boy. Love the look of the V8. The Massey Ferguson 1150 was the first row crop tractor with a V8. I’ve seen a nice restored ones. Nice job. Love the classic tractors.

I recall the 1468 being the first engine available to the public that would run on 4, 6 or 8 cylinders as power was needed. 👍

I grew up with a couple old Fords around and I love them, but I've always loved IH tractors. I'm stuck living in a neighborhood right now, but I keep watching these videos and thinking about buying a fixer upper to drive around the neighborhood on the weekends just because I can.

Man oh man, do I love those 1206’s! Dad use to tractor pull with a hopped up 1206, then retired it off the track and back to the field. Loved disking with that 12… would love a restored one now, with a cab.

1206 is my favorite Farmall. Spent a good deal of my teenage years driving one back in the early 1970s.

Loving the red paint fellas. All I ever ran growing up is IH and the only thing we run today. We have an old 1456 that will never leave the family, she was our main horse for a lot of years and owes us nothing. The plan is a full restoration in a few years when I retire. Ya can't beat that turbo singin!

Nice resto, but one that would give most original owners nightmares for weeks if they saw it. They 549 gasoline truck engine that was derived from was a fine power plant for a truck - running on gasoline. The DT550, which was simply a diesel version of it, was less than ideal. That is, it was to tractors what the Yugo was to cars. They looked/sounded cool, but they just couldn't hang together.
Very nice. I know where a 1568 is for sale. A widow lady has it has been shedded but hasn’t ran for years. I know there is a offer on it if 12k as it is. Has a cab and the back window is out. Has duals but tires are probably shot. I knew not many were built but didn’t realize the numbers were that low. It is nice to see one restored. Also have a consignment 1206 for sale I think the numbers were pretty low for those also. Good video.
That 1066 will be sweet when it gets done.
Grew up dairy farming with an 806 as our large muscle tractor.

Dang, this is so so kool! How did you even get into this? (Thinking how i can) lol. 1568 IMO is about as rare as the 4568. That's been on my dream list for some time now can't find any under 15k though.

Trusses are up, tin is on, floor is sanded and sealed. Only things left are some cosmetic things and it’s ready to go!
Will your be converting the 1568 to autonomous operation someday like that rig next door?

Yes the 8 in the 14 and 1568 stands for V8, where the 6 in the 14 and 1566 would stand for the standard inline 6 cylinder

Yes it was!

I prefer International Harvester over case any day. In my opinion they chose the wrong tractor to continue International was the better route

IH- They either need a torque and clutch, or they just had them replaced.
Used mine for everything since 1983. Never replace a ta or clutch yet
I'd much rather have a 5088 over any case that that case produced
