Really appreciate the simple yet practical tip of googling the Enemy Champion. many "pro tips" require much more knowledge than any beginner could have.
Around a year ago I unsubbed from this channel because the quality of the tips and videos was going downhill and honestly wasn't worth it. Just watched the last three videos and I'm pretty pleased that you guys' are doing great videos again, GJ.
7:31 Thank you for bringing that up to my intention. I always felt like I played well when I invade the enemy jungle and die there after a successful gank, but I was confused by the chat which often asked for reports. Glad to know that I am actually climbing well with this tactic
So, I'm an ADC main. I know that most people go Long Sword now to get to the mythic faster, but nobody ever told me that the item is actually better in the early game in most games. Also, yeah, I see a lot of supports trying to roam at really bad timings. Because I am also bad, I typically stay and try to catch what farm I can safely, only for the enemy bot to run at me, ignore the wave entirely, and chase me back to my tower, typically killing me in the process.
The problem is not the laning phase for me. It's mostly about the mid and late game. How do I deal with a team, thats not grouping when they should? Junglers not taking objectives? Really fed hyper carries? When should I splitpush? When should I defend the base?
As a jungle main, when i smurf i always take turret plates with my teammates because i dont trust them especially when i know that enemy jungle is coming or any other lane is mia. Sometimes i just back in a bush near turret. But i’d rather not let them die for no reason than get them tilted for not being there. Besides low elo is so unpredictable that sometimes you’ll see a mordekaiser randomly tp bot at 5 minutes or enemy jungler anticipating and invade rather than taking their camps, so when you come to check the spawn timers you find a 20 cs kayn at 8 minutes just chilling in a bush near gromp waiting for you. Idk, its nice to point out that there are a lot of things to do besides taking turret plates but from experience sometimes its the best play especially in terms of mental control (xd true believer that minimizing opportunities for your team to tilt at you is game winning)
I don't main adc, but I think that especially for jhin, buying doran's blade first is a huge mistake, but you don't have to buy a long sword, because jhin's base damage is probably the biggest from adcs (without counting draven), but the problem with him is his range. He gets stomped by adcs like cait, but he can utilise this problem with higher movement speed
I have a subscription to skill capped and I may just be missing it, but what do you do when your teammates are spamming ff@15? I feel that tilts me more than anything is when my team surrenders a winnable game.
I love how all of these tips are like 10 tips in one and based off expectations versus realization in low elo. For example, in top lane Morde losing that lane had nothing to do with him not losing teleport because he had no concept of wave management in the first place. The assumption that he could have teleported back and held a freeze consequently ending the lane for Hector is predicated on the fact that you assume this Morde knows how to manage a wave and freeze it for multiple waves; however, based on the first couple of minutes he clearly doesn't. Additionally, he had a chance to freeze the wave without the teleport and instead choose not to hold the freeze. Similar story in mid lane. Though I actually agree with the tip about taking advantage of cooldown windows, you follow up a great tip with an example of hector "getting easily zoned by the Vlad" when in reality by the time Hector was able to rotate to Herald the Graves was already dead and enemy top laner is there while Garen is chilling in tri bush. Even if Hector had Tibbers and Ignite, he was going to get "Zoned" by the fact that its 3v1 and the enemy Trynadmere is level 8 with ulti still available. I don't know each individual players score, but overall the enemy team has 8 kills and Hector has 1 kill so I am 100% confident in saying that he isn't going to 1v3 the enemy team. For the jungle tip, there are so many caveats to this tip that you neglect to mention. For starters you show Hector getting punished for counter jungling instead of assisting with plates because his team has extremely poor vision and he has no idea where the enemy jungler is. This was a terrible play and I appreciate you showing it, but you at no point make a mention of why it was a bad play. Sure it results in hector dying and giving a shutdown (although giving the shutdown to the support isn't that bad, would have been a lot worse if that gold had gone to Yi), but why was the play bad. For starters, he finishes the play with no mana and half life. But more importantly, there is zero vision on the map. Not only does he have no idea where the jungler and bot lane are, but mid lane is also MIA. He could be walking into 4 people in that jungle. Then to top it off he sees the enemy drop herald and instead of running, he still decides to go after Gromp. Lastly, for ADCs. You say it is a mistake to take Doran's Blade instead of other options, and maybe it is. But your rational for why it is a mistake in this example is because the Jhin sits there and repeatedly eats Sivir Qs. The poor play of repeatedly eating poke is the thing that needs to be fixed. Sure in the long run having a long sword is more beneficial to getting your items quicker, but this Jhin is just eating Sivir Boomerang like its an all you can eat buffet. He would have chugged through those potions and still been in the same predicament he was in anyways. The additional potions would have as useful as putting a bandaid on a severed limb. It's stopping some of the bleeding, but dude is still missing his fucking arm. The Jhin could have started the game with a finished GaleForce advantage and dude still would been behind because of the way he is playing the game.
Hey you guys actually showed low elo rng players killing Hector for making a "good" decision. For once. That's a nice change of pace, you all usually just pretend like that doesn't happen. Seriously, it makes your advice look more trustworthy if you're willing to admit it won't always work even for you. Also, I hate potion start. Way too much of a money sink that relies on coming out of early game better off for it. You can just get a doran's shield and get much better value over time on most champs, and it won't go away after the first few minutes of the game.
Specifically talking about ADC here, cuz I think they're the only ones who go longsword+3 pots really. Dshield falls off really quickly and doesn't help with extended fights, just with poke or all ins - potions deal with poke as well - and it doesn't give any offensive stats. 10 AD is almost 20% more damage per auto early game
@@douwemusic Know what else falls off really fast and is done mostly to help with poke? Boots pots start. Except with the shield start at least you actually keep some stats.
@@GigaLigma falls off? When has MS as a stat ever fallen off in League 🤣 that's 300g into the best stat in the game. Besides, the only champ I ever see doing boots start is Jhin (and Predator users). 3 potions means you can lose almost all your hp in a trade and still be fine. That's kinda massive
Long Sword start is nice but you should consider looking at the enemy runes before you decide whether to start it. If the enemies are running Dark Harvest or even Hail of Blades you could be dying a lot due to their aggressive runes. Not just that but the new patch gives even more value to Triumph so a DH and Triumph user will probably just snowball against a squishier opponent.
@@douwemusic Dark Harvest triggers faster when you have less maximum health. If you can prevent it from being triggered for a long time, then you can invalidate their keystone. Doran's Blade can therefore allow you to snowball against such opponents.
