When I rewatched this, I had completely forgotten about half of the things I had decluttered in February! LOL! Go me! What are YOU decluttering today? Go find ONE thing and let me know what it is!
I could not find anything at all and had nearly given up when I remembered my address and password box. It was a nightmare to sort out but got it done! Contacts are now updated in alpha order, with only current legible passwords clearly labeled. The last frontier!
Had a family emergency that took me away from my home, but staying with our DD22 in her apartment (3,000 miles away) so we decluttered her bathroom closet that holds medicines (expired--gone), batteries (old--> recycle), and a suitcase full of "special occasion" dresses, that she ♻️ to a swap about 1 bag full. I love this because she will be moving apartments soon and moving less stuff will make packing and unpacking easier. 😊
Hygge'ing up with a warm blanket and curled up finishing a book📚 from my reading shelf today then will go into the donation pile. Mystery who done it book by Elly Griffiths The Zig Zag Girl
Thank you for the laugh…I had a very different image then what you meant when you said show me yours 😮when you offered to show me yours. I am a seventy two year old woman I suspect I don’t have anything that you don’t have 😂it’s all older than yours though just the regular standard issue….except for the humerus bone it’s overactive…❤🎉❤🎉❤rah rah rah. Thank you for the reminder it has been inspirational and I been delivering a lot of good stuff to the hospice shoppe and other charity thrift shops😅
I did really well in February and enjoyed it so much. I am still stuck with 4 big boxes of decluttered items and it´s starting to be really depressing for me. I didn`t get them out of home due to health reasons and somehow it`s making me reluctant to do more decluttering now 😐
Well done, Sara....the boxes are just a speed bump not a road block! Go see how much more you can add to them before they leave your house! And ask for help to move them on!
Sara I have been there! There are places you can call to help pick up these things in most areas. They might change a small fee. Some might be free such as thrift shops who pick up items. I ended up paying someone and it was a life saver!
I don’t know what country you’re in, but in Canada the Canadian Diabetes Association will pick up for free - Google them, or there’s a 1-800 number. The Kidney Foundation will also pick up for free, both come around regularly, and if you get on their list they’ll call every couple of months or so, and say “Our truck will be in your neighbourhood on such and such a date, do you have anything you’d like to donate?” You leave it out by 8 am on the appropriate date, and it disappears like magic!
I've slowed down in decluttering in the month of March but I have been decluttering here and there. Recently it was an old shower caddy bag, some expired Covid test kits. some chocolate bars that are probably too old to taste good and another book. I hope to get to shredding some personal papers soon for offloading. That will likely be what keeps me busy throughout April. Happy spring to you.
We turned everything upside down. Yesterday our 3rd 🙈 couch had to leave and today a massage chair. Two really big items, such a relief! But many more to come 🤞🤞🤞 Unfortunately I really do struggle with following the order: routines, zones, extra (and selfcare). Currently its mainly extra, dishwasher & laundry 🤷♀️
Thanks for everything. I have teenagers and a full time job and keep up pretty decently with clutter and cleaning, but if I don’t keep a schedule, after a week it all goes to heck. I’m always looking for a simpler and clearer way to have a lovely home and truly enjoy it. ❤ - let go of a book bag I’ll never repair and some old cards. Yay!
Yesterday, I cleared up a little flip top storage box, that has writing stuff in it. I toss some automatic pencils that there were no pencil leads for and a couple thick pencils that wouldn’t fit into a regular hand held pencil sharpener. Saved only pen refills, 3 automatic pencils with leads, a couple of Timex watches needing batteries and wrist bands, some guitar picks. Coins in it went into Ramen Noodle budget jar. And I found a recipe called Mom’s Chili Sauce (foster mom let me copy it long ago. Last week I’ve cleared out my cupboards and got rid of a number of things that were no longer used. And I even changed the layout. Today had to take a break, but next is the Amazon lists. Intend to clear out all those items on those lists that I always say” I’ll think about it” “Maybe later” Just might do it now, as I’m thinking about it.

We have multiple charities in our area that pickup for free. Try calling local charities and see if they do the same in your area.

Oh, wow! Love those big items leaving the building!

I think I will start this today and see what I can declutter through the end of April.
Let me know what you are decluttering, Katie! I will be cheering you on!
