It was a real treat to take a day and visit some local thrift stores. I wasn't finding much at first. But then by my third shop, I found the best thrift store find ever. Not exaggerating! But you'll have to watch the haul to find out what it is!

I’m sorry, but that high chair looked like a small electric chair sans the electric part. Ewww. Now you can graduate if you can balance your checkbook. My refrigerator is wallpapered in printed or handwritten recipes. Piselli is pasta. Love the green vase. Again I comment as I watch so it gets a bit disjointed. You did exceptionally well Thrifting. Wow on the sofa pair. I often see lovely sofas I’d like to get for my extra room, but I have no way to move these things. The kids are living hundreds of miles away and I’m not good at asking people for help, though they have no problem asking me. I’m very happy to help if I’m able. I’m stubbornly independent. So, I usually have to pass on things like sofas and heavy chairs. You’re fortunate to have a husband and children nearby. You’ll have to keep us informed of what you do with the tables and sofas. Keep the sofas. You’ll never forgive yourself if you don’t.
You’re making me laugh Cynthia, because I was thinking that the high chair was weird looking too. I don’t think a paint job would even make it better! 😂🤣
I’ve always wanted to do that to my refrigerator. Unless you spend a fortune they’re pretty blah. I’ll bet yours is beautiful!

OMG I am on a thrifters contact high!! Spectacular haul! I love it ALL. I love too many items to name. But I love those sweet little oil lamps, all the glass, pottery, the blue & white, oh man everything. That vest is so cool. I would cut it in an uneven shape like a fur rug and drape it on a chair back or ottoman. ❤ it! I wouldn't paint the faux wood...yet. Try it for awhile. Wow I wish we could thrift together and I would love to shop at your booth!! 😄 I'm the same way turn me loose in a thrift shop (alone) and I'm dangerous and on cloud 9. I love rustic, eclectic and worn. Brocante. By the way love your crystal necklaces and your hair looks terrific. 😉👍 Thanks for the great video.
Victoria I’m sure we would have so much fun if we went thrifting together! I love your idea with the fur vest. I have a little white fur rug that I do that with and just love it. I have another haul coming up soon because we’ve been shopping estate sales and flea markets this weekend. More amazing finds coming up! I can’t even wait to share! 😆

Not sure where your location is but here in East Central Iowa, our thrift shops are more expensive (in the last few years). We only have Goodwills in most cities, a very few Salvation Army’s and I can only think of one “Crowed Closet” in Iowa City. Oops you said your in the Ozark’s, lucky you, I’d LOVE to live in very southern Missouri.

I love your brown wood look organizer you picked up at the Salvation Army. I would have that on my counter and put my every day stainless table wear in it and in one of the larger pockets I would put pretty serviettes and my wooden spoons, and other wood utensils in it. If I used it in the bedroom I would put my hair and make up brushes in it, combs, scrunchies / barrettes, maybe a paperback reading book for bedtime, the newspaper, endless uses. ,Love it. I definitely wood not paint it. You have a wonderful haul of interesting items. "Happy Thrifting!" :)

That antique highchair (if that's what it was?) at the beginning, (@the bins) I was like ohhh, thinking wouldn't that be cool with a plant in it, outside!? 🪴 If I went to any trouble I'd paint it, however I was thinking, leave it as is.
Also that brown pitcher you found, I remember those dishes from back in the day, they always reminded me of Cabin living. 🤷🏼♀️🥴 I have always liked their look!!😉

I have checked out so many thrifters you are it! You have impeccable taste(except the brown mug). Your house is gorgeous. You are classy and pretty. I can't actually follow you in the store it makes me dizzy but your haul at the end is perfect you don't ramble and you are interesting . And you also do books. I am relieved I was beginning to feel lonely in my quest for beauty.

Yikes! Do not paint the brown pitchers as they have value as antiques. The small one is identical to one I have that was my Grandfather's cream pitcher. It is from the 30's or 40's....

My Mom had the entire set of that brown pitcher. Mixing bowls, and canister sets. Antique now
I am 67& there was door to door salesman that sold the whole set to my mother when I was 6yr.old. when I find these pieces I buy them

Love that white ceramic duck casserole dish for $4.50 @4:56; that brown pitcher for 25¢ is mid-century Marcrest stoneware. I collect that and the Hull/McCoy brown drip pattern stoneware too❤️please don't paint over it😮 The milkglass dishware that has the little raised "dots or bumps" is called a hobnail textured pattern; I have very similar black wooden candleholders too, going to paint them with white chalk paint

Beautiful Cobalt Blue tea set . I love to drink green tea with lemon and I add honey. It is so good. I am fr Texas. Born in Dallas at Dallas Methodist Hospital in 1956. Just retired at age 66. What part of Texas are you from? I grew up south of the DFW area in the country and loved it. My grandparents owned and operated a dairy farm. I was blessed to have a wonderful childhood! Speaking of tea, have you (or your son) made clotted cream? I made it, strawberry jam and scones for the first time for Valentine’s Day. Yum. Since you asked for input as to what we would like to see, I don’t care about watching people shop for thrifted items. It can be interesting to see what’s out there in other areas of the country. But it isn’t a big draw for me. However, I love love love seeing the haul and hearing how you would style the items! Superb! I have subscribed and will scan your videos for actual styling videos.

I love vintage and good reference books too. I am reminded with the home economics textbook that you showed about the “Home Ec” classes that I took when I was a teen and how much I enjoyed them. I know now “Home Ec” is not just for girls anymore and that’s as it should be. Many people of both sexes may live many years or all of their lives by themselves, without a partner and “home living skills” are important for everybody to know. I think some school curriculums nowadays do have classes like “Home Living” open to all because who doesn’t need to learn how to cook, to buy groceries and manage your money....to live within your means. And to learn to make or repair your own clothing isn’t exactly a useless skill. I’ve got so much great fabric...one of these days I WILL get back to sewing 🧵.

Hi! If you haven't already painted the dark brown pitcher, please don't. Paint the lighter colored one with the lines. Also, the wood looking container (sorter),I would paint it white and distress. Beautiful teapot and cups.

That is an old brown crock. I saw one exactly like it back 40 yrs ago and it was old then. I wouldn’t paint it.
