Hello Viewers, Retain and wait option if available can be exercised upto 4th round. But not in 5th round. Since 5th main round is decisive round.
In the video i mistakenly said that the retain and wait cannot be used in 4th round. Please make note of it!

Yes if you can retain and wait for the 4th round. Do that. You will still have that offer in the 4th round.

Sir I have accepted new iit in round 6 but now I am getting top nit. I want to withdraw my iit seats and since I did not pay fees till now , so how should I withdraw my seat? or is it necessary for me to withdrawl my seat before last date of fees submission?
Hello sir, GATE Score 746 (AIR 262) in CSE with GEN Category. I have applied for CSE Programs in IITB, IITH, IITM and IISC. No offers in any of the 5 rounds sir. What can I expect in the Additional Rounds of COAP ? I have also registered in CCMT.

Well this isn't applicable everytime. Doing vlsi at a new iit is much better than doing water resource engineering at old iit. So choose wisely. Don't follow everything these youtubers say to you.
Sir guidelines me likha hai ki retain and wait 2 bar tak kar sakte hai ek "specific" Offer me. Kya iska matlab ye hai ki dusra offer me firse 2 bar tak retain and wait kar sakte hai? Please reply

sir ek baat bataiyye.. COAP ADDITIONAL ROUNDS (A,B,C,D) ke liye will I have to register again in the respective IITs?? COAP ka brochure me kuch clearly nahi likha h is baare.
Hi Bene, you wont have to register again as such. They will go about selecting students by the same order they were doing in the main rounds. Although spot round mein, unhi logonko allow kiya jata hai jinhone pehle apply kiya tha. Agar kuch bhi in cheejo mein change hota hai to IITs will update on their website.

You will have to pay the fees only after you accept a program. Not when you simply retain and wait.

I got IIT Patna for cse in 2nd round and I retained and wait till 4th round and I got IIT dhanbad for data analytics so, I am confused should I go for 5th round because most probably I will get IIT dhanbad for cse reason fourth round cutoff 508 and my score 504 or should I go for IIT patna for cse

Sir just wanted to clear something...if i get a college in 3rd round and i use "retain and wait" option on it for 3rd and 4th rounds, i'll reach 5th round with having that same offer!!
hi shubham, you can choose retain and wait, upto 3rd round. But not in 4th round. So right now, 4th round is decisive round. But What I am saying here is to choose retain and wait option in 3rd round. If you at all can!

What is a more preferable option, IIITD M.Tech Machine Learning or a IIT Palakkad M.Tech Data Science? How important is the IIT tag?
If your objective is a job offer. Select college which is older. As a thumb rule.

Unfortunately spot round is only open for people who filled the forms before end date when the forms were released and also completed all selection procedure like interview if any. But try to look for departments which still have their registration windows open
