  • In my last unboxing from Fireball Tool, I was sent the wrong parts...because I referred to them by the wrong name.

    It's a shame they destroyed their RUclips channel by turning off the comments because they couldn't take a little criticism

      I have no idea what prompted them to do so. All I know is one say I went to leave a comment and saw that I couldn't, on every video. I immediately unsubbed because that's lame.

    Embarrassing having to admit to a mistake like that, happens to all of us at sometime, but always happy when someone stands up to it. Looking forward to seeing them all in action.
    Good to see you getting the younger members of the family involved.

    Over the last seven years I’ve ordered stuff from Fireball Tools. And never had a problem I ordered a few things this year for Christmas and got them on time. It seems like you made a mistake not them. Looking forward to your next video.

      Excluding my mistake, it still took a couple of corrections for Fireball to ship everything. There was no indication that they were aware of the missing items, i.e., packing slip noting backordered items, had that been the case. I appreciate their responsive customer service that got me everything I ordered while being pleasant to deal with.

    Any idea why all fireball comments are turned off on his vids?

    • @rustedox3174
      @rustedox3174  Год назад +5

      Not a clue, I never noticed the tone of comments. If it was overwhelmingly negative, it would make sense to shut them off. If customers or potential customers were frustrated about a lack of response to inquiries through the comment section, that could be bad for the brand and responding to comments becomes exponentially more difficult with an ever increasing library of videos.

      At the end of the day he's preying on peoples inner perfectionist. Welding tables have been fine how they are for a long time but suddenly he's selling the "rolls royce" of welding tables and wants everyone to think their table is trash. It's a lot smarter to design adjustable legs on anything you build than it is to try and make it perfect. Building perfect frames you're going to sit on wavy unperfect concrete floors most of the time makes no sense. I'm sure those tables are nice for some very niche work but don't realistically make sense for the vast majority of people, and that's bad for his business so hes trying to censor the people pointing out what I just laid down.

    I’ve been trying to buy a number of fixtures, but they’ve been out of stock for some time. Finally, late Wednesday night, I decided to try, just for the heck of it, to see if they were back. And they were. I put several items in my cart and went to checkout. By the time I was halfway through checkout, some of the items were already out of stock, and they couldn’t fulfill my entire order.
    Look, I like Jason. But really he has to learn how to judge sales when he, or his people order stock. It’s just not acceptable that so much is constantly out of stock. This has happened to me twice before.

    • @rustedox3174
      @rustedox3174  8 месяцев назад

      That's frustrating to have the table and not have all the fixtures you want or need. I am sure they are cranking them out as fast as they can, but it's still disappointing having to wait. When I was trying to get my setup, I was regularly checking multiple times a day for updates and jumped as soon as I had the chance

      @@rustedox3174 yeah, that sounds like me. Well, good news for me I just now got an e-mail saying my order is being shipped. Yahoo! Oh, and if you have a mill, you’ll find you can make a lot of very useful fixtures the manufacturers don’t make. I’ve got a few. But I’ve been welding since 1973, so I’ve thought of a few.

    While their tools are nice. Their approach is piss poor. He disabled all the comments on many of the videos including the newest one today. He also disrespected the people who spend upwards of 10k on a table and complained about it in a video because people were ordering a lot of those round pins instead of spending a lot of money of fixtures. People just dropped a lot of money on a table and its not like everyone of them has the funds to spend another 3 thousand or more on a kit of fixtures. To get a new table and enough fixtures would be over 20k investment. Then on top of pushing people to go watch videos on his website in order to drive sales. Well people who are not going to buy his tools are not gonna go to his website.
    I am done doing fab work, sure 20 years ago these tools would have been an investment for me yet not today. This guy just can not handle people talking bad about him.

    • @rustedox3174
      @rustedox3174  Год назад +2

      No sure on the disabled comments. As for my setup, it's a great setup for me. I have found many uses in addition to metal fabrication. I am in everything for less that $13k, which was a massive investment. It brings a smile to my face, saves me time, and increases my accuracy every time I use it. Other companies may provide the same benefits, but I liked what I had seen before the purchase and have been happy with the quality.

    Off topic question... Do you have any concern about risk of fire in your shop? I noticed it seems to be entirely exposed lumber... Might be good safekeeping to install 5/8" drywall all around.

    • @rustedox3174
      @rustedox3174  6 месяцев назад

      I have pvc slatwall that I'm currently installing over the osb and may add metal wainscoting. I'm not sure of the fire risk of the osb, but having it covered as you suggested must be safer.
