Great tutorial, don't forget to tell router where it can find the IOS image. - system boot flash:xxx-xxx.bin and copy file to startup-congig and then reload it.
that is what I am thinking... some boot flash have different name... he has the same boot flash name, so all he had to do is reload without sending system boot flash:
Hi i have cisco IE 3010 POE Switch, i have a problem of that switch all the port are not working, when we are connecting to any device port not showing connectivity. please if you have any solution please revert...
Could you please provide info on how you got those windows? You're explaining how to do things but you'll pop something up I have no idea how to get there for stuck and unable to get to where you're at next. . .
Weirdest Budday You need a console cable, and usb to console cable so you can plug into your router from your computer. Use these settings for your com port ---> Bits per second: 9600, Data bits: 8 Parity: None, Stop bits: 1, Flow control: none Also download the tftp program from tftpd32(dot)jounin(dot)net. As shown in the beginning of the video.
I've been trying to find this out too. I have only been able to find 12.2 as the latest release from Cisco (officially). Not sure if anything newer would work. Anybody know?
Deleting the IOS in flash leaves the config.txt and the vlan database untouched!??? vlan database!??? On a 2600 router !???? This is No Layer 3 Switch! Bit confused here! ALSO... You didn't do ANY memory check on that flash BEFORE inputing a new IOS! Had there been no space in flash, that router could've gone in a loop!!! Or maybe told you it couldn't continue! Had there been another IOS there, wouldn't you have had to delete it for lack of space... AND THEN given the age of this machine, have had to do a SQUEEZE command BEFORE inputing a new IOS into the flash!???? ALSO... Had there been enough space in flash... Wouldn't you have had to input a BOOT SYSTEM COMMAND... So as to choose WHICH of the IOS should boot the router !??? WHY are all these things...NOT...In the tutorial!? ;-)
You Sir, are a life saver. Thank you.
