@@nige7577 I believe that's the signal I climbed in December 1967 to clear the snow from the aspect lights when the signalman in the old box noticed that the lights had gone missing. It was certainly the first signal south of the box and a couple of hundred yards trudge from the box through the deep fresh snow.
@@alangilbertson8239 Just shows how things have changed being very helpful back then Alan but you certainly wouldn't be able to do that nowadays, but good to see it still in use today.
Nice, Nige. I had it through near my place today in a deluge of rain and a gale of wind as Storm Bert swept through. It was only after I got home that I realised that it's the first time I've seen 45407 since I saw it inside the shed on a visit to Carnforth in July 1977! I saw it in BR service in the 60s, but today's the first time in 47 years!
Thanks Alan, Well you’ve waited long enough to see her running on the mainline again, it’s just a shame it was on a day like today and hopefully you won’t have to wait as long for the next time, cheers 👍 Reply
For some strange reason Nige I almost missed this one, as I recollect you saying there would be no more steam this year... Wow and what a bonus eh? Superb sounds from '5407, flying 'the flag' for Stanier. Thanks for posting Nige👍
Many thanks George, glad you didn’t miss this bonus footage with 5407 running at her best and sounding superb indeed and certainly makes up for yesterday’s disappointment, kind regards nige👍
Fantastic sound and visuals on both shots, love the signal at the end 😊
Many thanks Nick, 45407 at her best I would say and still nice to have some working semaphores left, cheers 👍
Excellent Nige , best NB shot this year I’d say and the KS signal is a cracking one 👍
Thanks Steve, yes it’s been a long time since we had a performance like that, always good to see and luckily there are some still working, cheers 👍
