Don't knock my truck. I bought what I could afford at the time. I was walking and it beats walking. If you don't like my truck or have an issue, keep it moving and close your mouth
The v6 is really underrated in my opinion they’re the best power for the buck in my opinion, it’s the cheapest way to get a half ton truck and they’re very simple and they’re super reliable, just because it’s missing 2 cylinders people give it a hard time but really these are great mid size engines
I completely agree with you! The V6 engines often provide a great balance between power and fuel efficiency, making them a fantastic choice for many truck owners. They are indeed more cost-effective and simpler compared to V8 engines, without sacrificing reliability. While V8 engines have their place for specific applications, V6 engines are perfect for those who don't require the additional power and would rather save on fuel costs. It's unfortunate that some people might overlook the V6 engines just because they have two fewer cylinders, but as you've pointed out, they can be great mid-size engines that offer an excellent combination of performance and value. Thanks for sharing your perspective and highlighting the underrated qualities of V6 engines!
I hated the bench seat n my 91 Cheyenne 2500 so I changed my bench seat with a gmc extended cab seat wich r two independent sliding seats to make the bench seat cause I'm 6'3 and was so uncomfortable cause bench doesn't slide back far enough now I can slide drivers seat all the way to back firewall its lovely
I bought my 91 Cheyenne 2500 5.7l v8 for $1000 and I love the truck it can haul anything with no problems pulls trees down like nothing its a beast 90's CHEVY babe cant beat em
I have a 94 Cheyenne with the 4.3 v6 engine and it has 178 thousand mile in it. I noticed you have electric windows, mine doesn't. That is another difference between our trucks. Like you, I use it for everything. God Bless and have a great day.
Thanks for stopping by brother and telling me about your GMT400, they are great. I have over 60 videos of the truck and it looks MUCH different than the day I bought it ruclips.net/p/PLZPFVgOzDxzUNotTlw4KYrOgZebABH3Gg - I also created the best resource online for GMT400 Upgrades and Performance Parts on my website www.buildpriceoption.com/gmt400-upgrades/ - hope this information helps. Thanks for watching!
Finally, someone giving the V6 some much deserved love! I have actually considered rebuilding the motor versus doing a V8 swap like every other guy literally does.
I have a 1988 chevy 4.3 v6 it had over 300,000 miles on it I wore it out to the point wore it burned a quart of oil a day so i bought a replica remanufactured engine and swapped it in
Just last week, I snagged a 1993 v6 WT automatic with 88,000 original miles with zero rust. $7,500. It has two tiny door dings on the passenger side. The inside of the bed does have some substantial dents. It's cold air delete and crank windows. Exactly what I wanted. Someone put a Pioneer radio dvd in the dash with speakers mounted in the back of the cab. It has new tires. Steering feels a bit loose like a pitman arm. Original brake lines. So yeah, I'm doing all new brake lines 1st. Then going through the front end. Has a sporty little camper shell. Thats got to go and a bed liner installed instead. The engine and trans works great. If I have trouble down the road, I'm thinking a later model v6 vortec swap. If folks really understand pick-ups, a v8 is really ignorant unless your towing mass weight.Unless you like pissing a lot of $ away on fuel. This retired brick layer has had few trucks.LOL I already have a go fast 1972 XLT short-bed with a Crown Vic swapped front end, weekend driver. Today I cranked my windows down, hung my elbow out on the door ledge and went shopping for spring garden plants. It's like another world. Life is great!
Wow, it sounds like you found an amazing deal on that 1993 V6 WT automatic! It's impressive that it only has 88,000 original miles and is in such great condition, minus those minor cosmetic issues. I can understand why you'd want to swap out the camper shell for a bed liner; it'll definitely give the truck a more practical and rugged look. It's great to hear that you're taking care of the maintenance right away with the brake lines and front end, ensuring it'll be a reliable and safe truck for you. The potential V6 Vortec swap sounds like a solid plan if you encounter any issues down the line. And you're right, a V8 isn't always necessary if you're not towing heavy loads, and fuel efficiency is definitely a factor to consider. Your enthusiasm for pickups and enjoyment of the simpler things in life, like cruising with the windows down and shopping for garden plants, is infectious! Your 1972 XLT short bed sounds like a fantastic weekend ride as well. Keep enjoying the truck life, and happy gardening!
By the way, I have no use whatsoever for most of your content, since I've never bought a new vehicle or even close, and never will. But I love the 94 C1500 content. Good stuff.
I appreciate that! The core of my channel is build and price reviews of new cars, but for fun I like to work on my truck and do videos. I have about 35 videos and have some recent ones on the truck. I will actually be trying another BlueDevil product so we'll see how that goes. Thanks for watching

@@ChrisStJohnn That's awesome! I still love this truck. I have actually been driving it a lot this weekend. Probably put 350 miles on it mostly highway. I really hope you enjoy your truck as much as I'm enjoying mine
I towed many junk cars and trucks on an old car trailer with my 92 2500. I have no idea what the tow rating was or is on it. Heaviest vehicle I ever had on the trailer was 8,750 lbs. But I also hauled heavy steel in the bed, and on 2 occasions had over 4,000 lbs in the bed. One was 4,600 lbs! It was so much weight, I blew a rear tire, a 235/85R16 Load Range E! Do you know how hard it is to jack up the rear end of your truck to change a tire, with 4,600 lbs of steel in it?? 🤣
7:06 2wd have more towing capacity than 4wd. Also if you don’t have the larger radiator you don’t have the tow package which means the towing capacity for this truck is much lower than you think
im wondering what is the model specification for the big square upper headlight over the ones of the same year that have the smaller double headlight upper? i want to be able to search for the ones with the bigger one piece upper headlight, i think it looks better.
just bought a truck similar but its white and its the 1995 w/t edition. my grandafather brothers truck he passed , passed it to another of my grand fathers brothers he passed then i bought it has 10,000 original miles .
Wow, that's quite a story! Sounds like your 1995 Chevy Cheyenne C1500 W/T edition has not only historical value but also sentimental value. And with just 10,000 original miles, that's incredible! 😲 It's like a treasure from the past. Make sure you take good care of it and keep it running smoothly. Enjoy your new (old) ride! 🚘👍
My brother has the K/C 1993 2wd standard...he can't find the transmission dipstick. Where do I tell him to look? I'm hoping the darn tube and dipstick didn't fall off!
It’s a good Truck, I have one GMC Sierra 1994 4x4, whit 144.000 miles, last year I putted a new transmission on it still under warranty, I wanted sell for $3000 what you guys recommend?

That's not a work truck W/T. Just a standard Cheyenne. The W/T Cheyenne has even less options than this truck. Rubber floors, hand crank windows, no A/C, less interior trim in the back of the cab etc...
should have bought a v8

Those v6 were very reliable mechanically wise but I’ve always seen them having electrical issues
I've had both, and the 4.3 actually impressed me. You really don't lose much horsepower, and I've gotten a lot of work out of mine.
good old 4.3 pers like a beauty i have one its brown and the bench seats are like sitting in a couch so comfy
The 4.3L is awesome! I just buffed the truck ruclips.net/video/9eL0KLk18bA/видео.html

Got a cheapo -92 w/t with the 4.3 and I just love to drive it. The V6 does the job actually!

I got one and it’s easily the best vehicle i own
Did you see the video where I buffed it up and made it shine? ruclips.net/video/9eL0KLk18bA/видео.html
I owned a 1988 C1500 4.3 5 speed. Great gas mileage, and plenty of power when hauling light loads.
Mine is a very rare option, blue interior, manual windows, the chrome grille and a white body style with a v6 4x4, single cab and long bed

what we expect from trucks we care less when they brake a nail but we care more when they are performing right just keep them looking kinda nice

Can you change the front ends on these trucks to look like the other ones ?
Yes
there's a GMC single headlight
My brother has the K/C 1993 2wd standard...he can't find the transmission dipstick. Where do I tell him to look? I'm hoping the darn tube and dipstick didn't fall off!
Top left right 7nder electric box
Turns out there isn't a dipstick on the manual transmission model of his truck.
@@CommentFactsAndNotNegativity yeah I didn't realize u said standard/manual transmission or i would have said there isn't one , my fault
