Upstairs Downstairs 165, Eaton Place Layout

This is a 3D Layout of the house ‘165’ Eaton Place, as seen in the 1970s original London Weekend Television Classic Series ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’. This video showcases the rooms/sets used in the five Season Series of this iconic television series.
The video attempts to show the 3D rendition and imagination of the layout and positions of the rooms within ‘165’ and its architectural configuration, that defies the actual size of the actual house (65 Eaton Place) used in the Outside Broadcast ‘Takes’.
The classic series ‘house’ is, internally much larger than its real counterpart, and the rooms and their positions within the ‘house’ do not make sense in many cases, if you look carefully.
An example of this, is the Servants Staircase from the main Ground Floor Lobby/Foyer, can not possibly take you to the Kitchen! In reality, the staircase would take you to the back area of the Servants Hall through the doorway leading to the Wine Cellar and Butler’s Pantry. If you did take the stairway from the Kitchen it would lead you up into the Family Dining and Breakfast Room!
You will also see the ‘Dumb Waiter’ lift located in the main Kitchen area, as it appears in the episode ‘Guest of Honour’, this lift would not take you into the two Dining Rooms and Large Drawing Room located on the ground, first and second floors. For the purpose of the 3D video layouts, you will see I have included a second ‘Dumb Waiter’ lift in the Scullery, which does take you to the correct rooms, as this area is below the dining and large drawing rooms. Although, this second ‘Dumb Waiter’ is only imagined for the purpose of this 3D rendition.
Other small examples being; the Wine Cellar and Butler’s Pantry that are actually part of ‘163’ the house next door, which falls to the right hand-side of ‘165’. Which is, also the case, of all the rooms left of the main street entrance to ‘165’, would however, be technically part of ‘167’, the house next door, that falls on the left hand-side, if you look at the ‘real’ (Outside Broadcast) house 65, Eaton Place.
Naturally, as with most sets for TV productions, there are always discontinuity for the purpose of the productions storylines. My 3D rendition is only imagined, to bring some continuity to the ’house’.
Likewise, if you have seen the short-lived 2000s new series of Upstairs Downstairs, this interpretation of ‘165’ has used an entirely new ‘Outside Broadcast’ location and house, the main difference being; the new series ‘house’ has fluted columns at its main entrance and the internal rendition, particularly the main ground floor entrance foyer/lobby is similar, but a real location, that is, much larger than the original studio sets used in the classic series.
I hope you enjoy this video, it is by no stretch of the imagination perfect, and somewhat limited in interpreting the furnishings, but any comments will be gratefully received.
The cheap 3D programme used on my iPad was an experiment, which has led to this rendition of the iconic 1970s/80s series. Thanks for taking the time to watch...
    Regards
    David

This is such a classic. Arguably and easily one of the best series of all time. The dialogue, sets and actors, everyone superb.
I need to go look for my VHS tapes!

David, thank you so much for you huge efforts! This fantastic video definitely deserves thumbnail image for visual presentation (in youtube searches, 'see also' column, etc.). It may be fashionable front view of house '165' with oneliner in bottom, say:
    165, Eaton Place, 'Upstairs, Downstairs'
It should be noted that down-right corner of thumbnail is used by timing numbers (so picture and text oneliner should take this into consideration). Image better be in PNG and 1280x720.
And yes, I've seen both classic and new series, and rewatched classic series several times. New series is certainly glossy and fashionable (and wonderful Keeley Hawes! and wonderful Alex Kingston!), but something is different there... David, have you seen The Duchess of Duke Street (1976-77)? It is very close to Upstairs, Downstairs.

Methinks 165 Eaton Place is like a Tardis - bigger on the inside.
