I’m Italian and this was one of my absolute favourite programmes when I was a young girl. What a pity that from the 80s on we had no British series on Italian tv. We had to wait until the beginning of the streaming era and Downton Abbey (not as good as Upstairs Downstairs, in my opinion.
One of my Nan's favourite shows , along with ; The Onedin Line , The Mallands , and the original , Poldark . I myself preferred ,The Duchess of Duke street with , Gemma Jones . Secret Army was another , on which they based , Allo Allo .
Thank you. This, along with another show called The Brothers (I think) was a favourite with my neighbour. We didn't have a telly at the time but I well remember seeing many episodes at my neighbours house - it was on in NZ. This brings back many memories. Would it be possible to do the series The Brothers as well, it was about a transport company run by a number of brothers and the various dramas that occurred at work and at home. Again thank you, the lady I watched with died recently so this has brought back some very happy memories indeed. Greetings from Ireland.
Jean Marsh also co-created Upstairs Downstairs.
Lesley-anne down was at her beautiful best on this tv show !
You cannot beat Gordon Jackson
Not to mention John Alderton and Pauline Collins are still married.
GEORGE INNES, as ALFRED
JENNY TOMASIN as Ruby
ANGELA BADDELEY as MRS Bridges -season 1 to season 5

Here’s to Emily, Doris, Nelly, Alfred and Pearce! 🍷🍸🍹🍺 They, too, were servants in season one. Oh, one-show Mary Stokes and two-show Alice.

Did you mean the Cookson book adaptation The Mallens from the late 1970s?
Well done spelling piqued correctly. So many seem to think its 'peeked' or 'peaked'

John Alderton also debuted in the second series.
Is there any chance you could do Budgie staring Adam Faith?
I’m looking into it now.
