YES I agree with you. S.A. Legends are fool of themselves and they DO NOT & NEVER suppport the current generation, they are big mouth and discourage too much the current generation. There's no need to retire jersey numbers. That's my opinion. We need to rally and support the current generation of players to surpass all the records that are there... that they setforth their own.

Jude Bellingham’s jersey was retired at Birmingham City in 2020 when he moved to Dortmund. I think the criteria is being a special player and not just a great player. You need to deserve the jersey, Messi didn’t just wear #10 at Barcelona he earned the jersey. I agree some jerseys need to come out of retirement but there’s no one at Chiefs who deserves the #15 jersey. Having said that I agree with you, Rele deserves #10 at Pirates.

They still want glory even though they have retired. I am talking from being coached by guys I played with, & it wasn't nice. So this goes deeper, it doesn't end on jersey numbers.

Truly speaking I get Bra J's point of departure, in South African football we are quick to utter praises prematurely, I have watched Tito since he was at SSU and he is a good player but for the time he has spent at Pirates his performance has not even surpassed Teko's performance while at pirates and he was never given the No10 jersey. Tito still has a long way to go on his game alone. For example, if we say Tito is better that .Mshishi (currently) Serero (At Ajax CT) Shuffle (Chiefs) and Dona(Pirates) then Bra J has no point. Videos are there for a reason to backup all the claims brought forward.

That's true. Jomo Sono just showed how selfish he is. They call him the Prince of South African football and for me he was just the normal South African player. He was the one that almost killed our football together with Petrus Molemela who both their teams were recruiting foreign players in numbers. They were the people that resulted in the now foreign player quota. For that result our national team was suffering.
But Broe Jomo said , it's not his decision to retire a jersey and he has no say on who to wear, but it's Pirates Decision, I think he will be giving his on opinion as per questions from Journarlist
Jomo Soni has got the right to say whatever he thinks it's right regarding the jersey number 10. He worked for that number therefore the team permanently gave it to him. Grow up Jabu

Also, remember the jerseys are retired by Clubs, not individuals. The number 10 at Pirates, and 15 at Chiefs were retired by The Iron Duke and Bra K respectively. With that said, Bro J was way off the mark with his utterances on Tito, it sounds to me like the Legend is gatekeeping and his legacy at Pirates is seemingly threatened by these up and coming stars and that is so unfortunate for someone of his stature. Goalkeepers do make mistakes, if i recall it correctly Senzo was criticized by some portion of football fans for his ball handling and distribution coz they were comparing him to his competitor, but he kept trying and became one of the best goalkeepers in the country... Allison gave away two goals to man city but he is one of the best goalkeepers... i mean to say errors do happen in football especially for goalkeepers...

Looking at Jomo Sono's perspective, I don't see nothing wrong with his response but for Tito it should be a reminder that, in football enemies are always watching and football is just full of criticism rather than applauses. When we come to Mamkhize, it's surprising why you seek attention when you a multi millionaire , the shows people watch her on mite lead her to last show " I blew it " , Percy Tau, rest is important and assessment of his own games. His still top class but playing too many games leads to complacency and spotlight analysis is too much from oppositions. Teams have became too prepared for him as a threat , it's not that his not good but they watch him day in & day out. On the league , as a Orlando Pirates supporter, I remind people of what I said " Kaizer Chiefs , will be dangerous, they well prepared, lesser games , good signings and mostly, all new technical team ". Pirates and Sundowns , they will face the challenges of being in too many competitions and if they don't separate their A team and B team by sharing the competitions , teams will struggle when injuries catch up.
