Firmware updates have been known to cause posterization issues. Is it possible that a future firmware update could resolve the same issues in this Hisense TV? When you talk about tradeoffs I usually think of hardware but are firmware updates also a significant resource drain to fix issues?
Since I don't game this set looks like the way to go for me. I've looked at more expensive models but they all have pros and cons too. This ticks most every box for me. Thanks for the review.

But I’m looking for a second TV, 55 or 65” to put in another room and the R655 looks like a downgrade. Would the U8H compare or exceed the R646 and how? Thanks, always enjoy your reviews, calibration and comparisons
1 question when you checked the Dolby was is Dolby bright or the Dolby dark setting, just curious currently looking at this to purchase does it check ✅ all the boxes for the Xbox series X thanks great video 👍🏼 this TV or the TCL 6 series 🤷🏼♂️
Excellent question. I hope it gets an answer. But, based on the fact that months have passed with every other question I've seen so far, it appears the author of this video will not provide an answer.
Just bought this TV. In regards to HDR, I have to turn Contrast down to 17 for it to properly follow the EOTF. Did you have the same results? In this video it looks like your TV over brightens HDR as well. Went from 2000+ nits to 1300 nits though after calibrating to EOTF.
Thank you for the great review and the awesome recommended settings, they got looking very, very good on the U8H. I really like how you compare and contrast with other tv's and price ranges to keep things in perspective and establish the tv into its own price range.
I Purchased This Hisense U8H A Little Over 2 Weeks Ago and I Absolutely Love It, It Has Very good Image Quality When Watching Blu-Rays and HDR Content On Netflix. Great TV! The key to a great picture in SDR is to turn down the contrast to about 50. And turn down the backlight to around 80, or less. In HDR, you can turn these up some.
People have said the new Firmware Update fixes the problems with Posterization in Gaming. Is that correct? People have also said the new Firmware update corrects the problems with Dolby vision. Is that correct?
Thank You for your excellent reviews - straightforward, facts / test based, and expert honest opinions. I am 99% sold on this but have seen a few comments and reviews mentioning audio problems. Are you aware of any audio issues such as syncing?
I talked to my family. I only knew cuz I got a Karaoke machine last xmas(that i never used lol) that we had hard time getting it work n my family have to do research. It has to be plugged into EARC and have to turn tv setting into sepcific modes. Like the higher level modes will be for ps5 etc. for more processing. if lower modes prob for speakers. Normal HDMI ARC plug wont be compatiable with speakers. Cuz usually HDMI are for 1 way info transfer, only send info into TV, the EARC are for 2 way info(for TV projecting or imput ). So some speakers are NOT compartiable if they are old or something. And i guess assume speakers have Passing Thru EARC plug, so PS5 should be able to be plugged into the speaker EARC then plug into TV lol…i might not be 100% accurate, but my family IT guy didnt even know, it was huge pain in d ass setting up my Karaoke machine. So I wont even blame most ppl dont know what d hell about EARC n ARC lol…plug. I dont think consoles have Passing thru EARC, so i bet ppl just directly plug into the EARC on tv, so they just auto assume Audio have to go to diff plug which WILL NOT work, cuz d other 3 plugs are for imput, not for imput/output both. Lol…k i am not sure everything i said is correct so just my impression. I dont use sound bar. Hisense TV has amazing sound i dont need it. I have 2 of their TVs. They produce butter smooth sound dynamic range , surround quality cinomatic . I was NOT expecting this level quality sound. I never had urge to buy sound Bar. I have picky ears too, cuz we had Infiniti car with 14 Bose speakers.
Curious why you didn't compare it to the LG QNED85 which is only a little bit more. You gave that TV a rave review (especially when it comes to gaming) a couple months ago, then no more mentions of it, no settings video, nothing. Is there something wrong with it?
Nice review...I currently have an older LG OLED, we watch a lot of Dolby Vision content via Apple TV 4K. Looking for a new TV as the LG has experienced some burn in from a morning news channel we watch (yellow ticker bar at bottom of screen). So, looking for a non-OLED, but concerned about the obvious Dobly Vision issues, perhaps this is a software upgrade fix?
Helpful review Classy! Just checked best buy and ttv is sold out. Also sold out on Amazon. When will I sense get over there supply problems? It's become an annual issue for them
Hey classy could you do the new brightness testing on tvs like the A80J by any chance if you still have it? I feel like your new method is way more accurate to real content.
Can you revise this since the Firmware released a few days ago, Still issues with 4k 120hz gaming? Do you recommend for 4k 120hz PC gaming now after firmware release? Thanks
People have said the new Firmware Update fixes the problems with Posterization in Gaming. Is that correct? People have also said the new Firmware update corrects the problems with Dolby vision. Is that correct?
Are these issues still present for this tv as of November 2022, making it a not really a good match for gaming on the PS5, or did it receive updates to help correct some issues?
There have been firmware updates that fixed many of these problems with the Hisense U8H. This is talked about on the Rtings website and Digital Trends reviews online.
Great breakdown, bud! Like the U8G it's an amazing sports and SD TV. For movies.. probably for non discerning people its good, especially those that like brightened low light. Perfect review length.💪🏻
Classy, great review I think for me what people miss in reviews is there are three things, sports TV, and movies and video games those three things should be the main thing spoken about because that’s how the TVs are used
Help! I have the U8H. I’m so confused. I want to watch television. Regular broadcast TV such as Law and order, FBI series, hallmark movies etc. what do I put this TV in. I thought it was supposed to be in HDR but I’m not liking what I’m seeing. So is it supposed to be in SDR? And what I’ve read it sounds like a lot of TV shows don’t broadcast in HDR.
Hey if I play games with the TV NOT in game mode, does the posterization issue go away or get much better? (for the most part we don't do super competitive FPS shooters in the house, most of the time (my 5 year old and 9 year olds commandeer the consoles, so my existing 2018 Q7F currently is never in game mode anyway)
I tested the tv 55"using my pc and the color banding for me was only noticeable on certain games in fh5 is was barely visible in the sky everywhere else was perfect. It's almost like the tv is trying to upscale lower res textures or images maybe hisense could fix this I doubt it though.
So if you are into gaming and DV movies, this is not the TV to get. I heard in addition to not being full resolution at 120Hz for gaming, the motion is poor on this TV (for gaming). This would probably make a good menu board/digital sign TV?
Don't listen to this guy & read up other reviews, it's literally rated as one of the best for gaming on a budget. I got mine Sunday specifically for gaming & I'm enjoying every minute. COD at 120hz is dope
@@hypno18s Where did fomo say the Dolby Vision problem was corrected? Do you have a link? Also, how about the Posterization issue. Did fomo mention that?
There must be some blacklevel setting on the U8H that’s artificially lifting blacks, causing the banding and other issues, no? Maybe it can be disabled ?
I received mine Sunday & I don't see the issue people are talking about for gaming. Most reviews even agree that this is one of the best for gaming on that price range
People have said the new Firmware Update fixes the problems with Posterization in Gaming. Is that correct? People have also said the new Firmware update corrects the problems with Dolby vision. Is that correct?
@@michaelzoran Dolby vision is definitely much better now but it still needs an update to fix the banding issues along with fixing the blacks being slightly raised but honestly so far so good.
The same finding about posterization and 4k 120 + Dolby vision was raised from rtings review. However they say that Hisense has recognised is as a bug and they will fix it.
Hi. Because of the firmware update(s) since your review, do you have any updates about banding/posterization and 120hz performance of this set (mostly in regards to gaming, but overall too!). Thanks.

Digital trends reported a shimmer issue with the U8H, did you experience that in your review at all, as it wasn't mentioned, or is it not really an issue in your opinion?
Digital Trends is a D*sh. He is like totally biased. Like he has been called OUT by other TV guys now. Like he is MAKING or Manifesting things dont even exist or every brand has. But he will stop at 1 frame say” I notice its pattern”. N plant d seed . Suddently its like everyone sees it. Just like I have neighbor that upstairs making noise , there kid walking running or something, I hear it but doesnt bother me. Last 3 weeks my family member kept mention it bother them so much, now i started to notice it too. N it’s starting to annoying me , even tho i know the first 3 months moved her they did NOT annoying me at all. Digital trends, notice it if u watch his content. He will pick like those not even a thing thing about Hiesen to Make something out of it. Its been like that 3 yrs in a row. Cuz I have Hiesen Premium Flag ship models . ITs insanely good. There is NO Frigin Shimmer. Just watch Quantum TV guy reviews about it.
For example, 2020, also 2021 TVs, if u go to show room all the LG looks extremely warm GREEN, all SONY ,,,utter blue. Their black n white scenes all look black n blue, utter depressing. Their white snow all look dirty blue. ITS like Inked. Its so sever. They Can’t even fix. All their OLED also lcd TVs. All their models are blue. NO one talk about it. Then suddently Homesense Flagship panel. 2020 Q9G/H9g Ultra Black, almost 98% as black as OLED, they ran out of bad things to say. Suddently they are like :”So pink, the color is NOT ACCURATE” Its just how manufactures set their tv to fit the Market. Hiesen serve LARGE Asian countries. NOT only chinese, MOST Asian ppl who are diff shades of yellow, do NOT need MORE GREENY or Orange yellow tone when watching TV. Asian brand of TV are Natrually turned to be more pale or more cool tone. But at least the white is still white, lol. I went to store 2021 saw the LG panels they were performing so bad in Bright ROOM , just normal store light, alt he whtie look grey with hint of yellow. Its just looks “dirty white”. Like contaminated. Then the SONY all look blue. Like dark movie or bright show, just like tinted. And Significantly OFF. They dont mention it. Cuz they Love the brand, “who cares, as long as other things stay true”. Yeah Watch “Quantum TV” , he is most honest TV viewer
The "Shimmering" problem you refer to was very unusual, because it ONLY happened on the RUclips streaming channel. This seems like something a firmware update could solve.
I'd say it's likely. I got a Sony that claims to be native 10-bit but someone with knowledge told me that it's an 8bit with FRC and it's definitely got banding issues but I noticed it less by turning on y422 on Xbox.
People have said the new Firmware Update fixes the problems with Posterization in Gaming. Is that correct? People have also said the new Firmware update corrects the problems with Dolby vision. Is that correct?
Just got the TV a few days ago and can confirm that the color banding is completely unacceptable. I'm just replacing it with something in the same price range, but I'm really bummed. Everything else about the TV is great.
Isn't the rebate for 65" and larger only, so it does not apply to the 55" model? I plan on getting the 55" so it would be awesome if I could save an extra $100 with a rebate 🙂
What’s the difference between the qned80 vs qned85 I think one is local dimming the other isn’t? I didn’t even know when I bought the qned80 and I’m kinda sad
QNED80 has edge lit backlight instead of miniLED like the QNED85. It is also lacking DolbyVision. I've never been able to find any in depth reviews, so no idea about brightness or color differences or anything else. I'm actually surprised they called it a QNED. Almost bought one until I discovered how stripped down it is. I'd trade it in for a QNED85.
The 75" version was released later than the 65" and 55" versions. Apparently the 75" version doesn't even need firmware updates to fix these problems with Dolby Vision and Processing.
4k 60hz even if gaming 4k 60hz is probably fine as most of the games you'll be playing at 4k 120hz aren't even exactly 4k 120hz but it's still a shame the picture will look even more blurry. Which is why I wouldn't get any Sony tv using the X1 chip it cuts the res pretty bad so I just game at 4k 60hz.
Just picked up this tv, the colors are fantastic banding is really bad and I got the 65 version. I also have a leg c1 oled that I got last year that is perfection. I’m going to return the Hisense and get another c1. 500 bucks more is worth it
So, you do know banding issues are PER tv set, not all tv sets will have banding issues this is probably a issue with YOUR set, anyway i am tired of these one-sided videos on hisense tvs as if sony lg and samsung dont give you garbage tvs for higher prices on a regular basis. i see these SAME issues on higher end tvs with a higher price from the big 3.
UPDATE . . . Thoughts and settings on the Hisense 75U8H. Now on the latest firmware. 11/09/2022, but these comments and settings hold for the previous firmware as well. I want to thank all the reviewers for their time and effort in creating the reviews for this model series. So I’ve been living with my Hisense 75U8H for over a month now, and I wanted to share my thoughts and settings for those that may find it useful in some way. I’m not a gamer so there won’t be anything related to that. I’m fortunate to have a light controlled environment and these settings are mainly based on that, with most viewing done at night and with the ambient light kit also recommended by another reviewer. The quality is everything that has been said about this model series, including the black levels truly approaching oled territory, with virtually no noticeable blooming. I was concerned at first with the flesh tones, as no matter the source or material, it exhibited an awful pinkish/magenta-ish/sunburned hue, and the greens seemed to narrow themselves down to one dark green color for everything. Played with every setting to no avail. So I reset back to ground zero and pulled out my ancient AVSHD disc and carefully proceeded. So after putting a bunch of hours on the set( yes, they do break-in), and tweaking everything for the different sources and inputs, the color finally started to settle in. The flesh tones are now 90 to 95 percent accurate, yellows and golds and browns look like they’re supposed to without any tint leaning in one direction or another, and the greens now have the variation you would expect to see in a mixed scene of trees and grass, etc. The following are the settings based on a wide variety of material on all the sources, and in setting the backlight, contrast and local dimming so it doesn’t melt my retinas, but still has a good level of ”kick” and dynamic range. Of particular note is my go-to reference disc of The Fifth Element (the good pressing), because it has such a wide variety of colors and levels of saturation, which makes it challenging to reproduce accurately. Filmmaker Mode was the starting point where applicable for SDR. HDR is kind of all over the place in terms of settings, for me at least. When HDR is flagged, the three default choices that you’re given work for some things but not all, so I’ve had to tweak things based on the particular content being viewed. Again, personal taste and the room it’s being viewed in. The Dolby Vision issue appears to have been fixed at this point. However, I use the “Custom” mode to tweak that in for better flesh tones, etc. The bottom line is, I feel these are all good starting points before a “real” calibration, but each person has their own taste and preferences, so of course, feel free to tweak-away! I love how people calibrate tvs with gadgets then judge them... why not adjust it to how it looks good to your eyes and then grade it. I have no issues your pointing out cause i used my eyes to adjust it. Yes you will have some black crush but thats with all oled. ... make it darker, adjust colors, boom ur done.
Wow, this one ended up much more positive than it seemed earlier out, judging by your impressions given on the posterization issues in community tab. So basically this is now a viable Option for American's over the X90K, while Europeans who receive the Brightness nerfed version called U8HQ are probably still better off with the X90K. And lastly the TCL would be the loser of the Trio, and not recommended according to you. Alright, gotcha, this is why I always come here to form my Oppinion and try to help others who r looking for Budget goodness.

Has there been any confirmation on the panel type for the 75" version?
IPS for the Singapore version.

Thanks for the review! I have the 55 on order. I was curious about the view angles. How far off dead center is it acceptable?
Where did you order it? I can't find it anywhere! It's sold out or not available.
Great content Classy. Any idea when your streaming device review will be coming out?
Curious why you didn't compare it to the LG QNED85 which is only a little bit more. You gave that TV a rave review (especially when it comes to gaming) a couple months ago, then no more mentions of it, no settings video, nothing. Is there something wrong with it?
@11:45
It's become an annual issue for them
Try pc richards
Hey classy could you do the new brightness testing on tvs like the A80J by any chance if you still have it? I feel like your new method is way more accurate to real content.
Can you revise this since the Firmware released a few days ago, Still issues with 4k 120hz gaming? Do you recommend for 4k 120hz PC gaming now after firmware release? Thanks
It would be nice if any questions were answered here.
People have said the new Firmware Update fixes the problems with Posterization in Gaming. Is that correct? People have also said the new Firmware update corrects the problems with Dolby vision. Is that correct?
Would you consider this TV an upgrade over the 2020 TCL Q825?
Don't make the mistake of assuming the non-US, IPS U8HQ is the same as this reviewed version though.
This is the best comparison I've seen with this TV and a Sony tv well done sir!
@Nathan Justice seriously considering it maybe Black Friday
@Nathan Justice I just wanted to work really good with the Xbox series X or PS5 at a reasonable price
good tv to use mostly as a monitor?
How is this tv compared to Qn90b in terms of blooming and overall PQ
This or the LG QNED85? Mostly for movies and video games
Is the rebate available? I just bought the 55 inch at Best Buy?
Great breakdown, bud! Like the U8G it's an amazing sports and SD TV. For movies.. probably for non discerning people its good, especially those that like brightened low light. Perfect review length.💪🏻
Classy, great review I think for me what people miss in reviews is there are three things, sports TV, and movies and video games those three things should be the main thing spoken about because that’s how the TVs are used
Are the lifted blacks in DoVi and the posterization fixable via firmware updates?
Dolby vision fixed but nothing on posterization so far but they're still not done with the 4k 120hz yet.
Given all the firmware updates that have came out, would you buy a u8h or x90k?
I went with the U8H & I have no complaints. I was looking at the X90K but it's $200 more
What mode was that on for both u8h and a95k on the sports Yankee clip?
Hey if I play games with the TV NOT in game mode, does the posterization issue go away or get much better? (for the most part we don't do super competitive FPS shooters in the house, most of the time (my 5 year old and 9 year olds commandeer the consoles, so my existing 2018 Q7F currently is never in game mode anyway)
Would you recommend the u8h or the r655 purely from a PC monitor and gaming standpoint? I'm looking to buy one of these and use it as a gaming TV
Gaming - Sony X90K
I would get the TCL R655. Great for high refresh rate gaming!
I tested the tv 55"using my pc and the color banding for me was only noticeable on certain games in fh5 is was barely visible in the sky everywhere else was perfect. It's almost like the tv is trying to upscale lower res textures or images maybe hisense could fix this I doubt it though.
Pretty solid for the price and I like that it has Google's OS and not something weird. I could see getting one of these for Sports content
Dose this TV actually have a Google search bar? I think I can hook up my remote mouse and keyboard up to it?
You did an extensive review on the Samsung QN90A, does this U8H have a better picture for movies?
So if you are into gaming and DV movies, this is not the TV to get. I heard in addition to not being full resolution at 120Hz for gaming, the motion is poor on this TV (for gaming). This would probably make a good menu board/digital sign TV?
Don't listen to this guy & read up other reviews, it's literally rated as one of the best for gaming on a budget. I got mine Sunday specifically for gaming & I'm enjoying every minute. COD at 120hz is dope
Since there's an issue with Dolby Vision, can you turn off? If so, will HDR take over?
Yeah you can but you need a seperate media streamer to be able to do that like a Nvidia shield or Apple TV
A firmware update has come out to fix Dolby vision in a number of other issues
Like what ? I still see color banding and a times I see some blur or stutter
this is not the version for people from europe right ? This u8hq is not as good at this one from the video ?
Classy, Did Hisense fix the Dolby Vision yet ? And can they fix the posterization in gaming via a firmware update ?
They fixed the Dolby vision from what fomo showed.
@@hypno18s Do you have a link to the Dolby Vision being fixed in the fomo video?
@@hypno18s Where did fomo say the Dolby Vision problem was corrected? Do you have a link? Also, how about the Posterization issue. Did fomo mention that?
@@michaelzoran In one of his community posts.
@@michaelzoran He didn't say anything on posterization sadly. 😕
Why can't you get a HDR pop up notification like you get when you use a Dolbyvision source? Is there a third party app to monitor this?
How does this model compare with the U8G? Just wondering if the earlier model has all the same faults, particularly in gaming...?
Rtings compared the two TVs and confirmed the U8H is better.
Have the Dolby Vision problems been resolved with updates??
I heard the Dolby vision problem was fixed with an update couple months ago. Is this true?
There must be some blacklevel setting on the U8H that’s artificially lifting blacks, causing the banding and other issues, no? Maybe it can be disabled ?
WHAT IS BTTR FOR GAMING NOW TCL R646 OR U8H ??
What color space in which mode did you test the TCL R655 with?
Think you could get this calibrated close to OLED for Very Dark theater room?
Probably better than any OLED for HDR material.
Any HDR or DV pops ups possible, or have they removed this due to the OS?
How does it compare to the QN90A? Similar price.
I received mine Sunday & I don't see the issue people are talking about for gaming. Most reviews even agree that this is one of the best for gaming on that price range
I also got it for My ps5 back in April 2023 and it's been an amazing TV specially with unlocked frame rate Games or 120fps Games.
@@MrCris2205 I do have an issue with COD at 120Hz. It's making a buzzing sound while on the Home Screen before a match, how about you?
@@myst8217 no idea I don't play wz or COD anymore but I may be the game because I nerver had that issue
Thanks. I am concerned about gaming. I wish I could see those same Destiny 2 screens on the the R655 to compare.
Great review im between this and Qned85
I already bought U8H and it’s great! I also got the Sony 48 inch oled master series love them both
People have said the new Firmware Update fixes the problems with Posterization in Gaming. Is that correct? People have also said the new Firmware update corrects the problems with Dolby vision. Is that correct?
@@michaelzoran Dolby vision is definitely much better now but it still needs an update to fix the banding issues along with fixing the blacks being slightly raised but honestly so far so good.
Can I use ROKu box with this TV, thanks.
The same finding about posterization and 4k 120 + Dolby vision was raised from rtings review. However they say that Hisense has recognised is as a bug and they will fix it.
Wait there gonna fix the posterization also????
@@hypno18s Yes. You can see that in the review on Rtings and Digital Trends.
Which TV would be better for moves games etc this U8h or the LG 85 QNED

Yeah
Watch “Quantum TV” , he is most honest TV viewer
The "Shimmering" problem you refer to was very unusual, because it ONLY happened on the RUclips streaming channel. This seems like something a firmware update could solve.
Can't get my hands on a 55" from best buy, all out of stock.
Wanted to use the card for interest free promotion
Does the color banding have anything to do with this panel being 8bit + FRC, and not a native 10bit panel? Do we know if the 75” is VA or IPS?
I'm trying to find out aswell if 75" is IPS or VA can't find a concrete answer anywhere.
I'd say it's likely. I got a Sony that claims to be native 10-bit but someone with knowledge told me that it's an 8bit with FRC and it's definitely got banding issues but I noticed it less by turning on y422 on Xbox.
Honestly, between the banding from the 8bit panel, and the unknown of panel type, I will pass. Could have been the one.
@@timothymertenton6981
Based on a person bought the U8H from Bestbuy, claimed that the panel was a VA
So are Hisense u8h 8bit panels has this been confirm ?
Possible firmware update to help Dolby vision?
People have said the new Firmware Update fixes the problems with Posterization in Gaming. Is that correct? People have also said the new Firmware update corrects the problems with Dolby vision. Is that correct?
can the gaming performance be fixed with firmware updates?
Excellent question. Unfortunately, the questions aren't being answered.
Just got the TV a few days ago and can confirm that the color banding is completely unacceptable. I'm just replacing it with something in the same price range, but I'm really bummed. Everything else about the TV is great.
Isn't the rebate for 65" and larger only, so it does not apply to the 55" model?
I plan on getting the 55" so it would be awesome if I could save an extra $100 with a rebate 🙂
it does not apply to the 55. Only 65in and above.
Do we know if these are va for all panel sizes?
The 55" and 65" and 75" use VA panels in the American version (U8H) and the Canadian version. The other versions are inferior and not as good.
@@momsbasement656 yea I wasn’t feeling the edge lit I could seriously tell, was kinda disappointed. I returned for c2 and I’m happy 😊
@@user-gq3dy7du2e C2 is incredible. I'm debating 77" C2 or 86" QNED85 for my living room. Change my mind every day.
What is the 75 inch equivalent??
What about for 75^ would this be best as well?
The 75" version was released later than the 65" and 55" versions. Apparently the 75" version doesn't even need firmware updates to fix these problems with Dolby Vision and Processing.
Does anyone know if the uk specs are same as US. Just asking as over here we always get dumbed down spec version and they charge us more.
The UK version has an IPS panel rather than the VA panel in the US and Canada. The specs are very different.
Can you test 03.33.11 firmware for input lag changes on LG C1 etc.?
Am very interested in the 75U8H, looks like a great panel, but once you put that Sony A95K next to it, holy cow, do i see the difference even further!
I've heard tho that the 75 U8H is a IPS panel, at least in Europe. 🤔
Except the A95k is $4000 and this TV is $1000.
@@ManuelMedellin. on AVSForum they confirmed that the US version is a VA panel just like the 65 inch.
Can the ETOF tracking in Dolby vision be resolved?
It already was fomo shows on his community tab.
@@hypno18s Do you have a link to the fomo video confirming the issue with Dolby Vision has been resolved?
Is this TV better than the Samsung au8000
Substantially, yes.
@Classy Tech Calibrations thank you!! Been looking for a better TV to put in my basement for gaming!
Viewing angles?
If your not gaming is it better to use the 4k 60hz connection or the 4k 120hz?
4k 60hz even if gaming 4k 60hz is probably fine as most of the games you'll be playing at 4k 120hz aren't even exactly 4k 120hz but it's still a shame the picture will look even more blurry. Which is why I wouldn't get any Sony tv using the X1 chip it cuts the res pretty bad so I just game at 4k 60hz.
@@hypno18s Thanks.
Why are you using SDR and not HDR or Dolby Vision Gaming? Those features are far superior
SDR is important to me. Almost all the content I own is SDR. I own very little HDR content.
Just picked up this tv, the colors are fantastic banding is really bad and I got the 65 version. I also have a leg c1 oled that I got last year that is perfection. I’m going to return the Hisense and get another c1. 500 bucks more is worth it
And the motion is not good and sometimes stuttering
So, you do know banding issues are PER tv set, not all tv sets will have banding issues this is probably a issue with YOUR set, anyway i am tired of these one-sided videos on hisense tvs as if sony lg and samsung dont give you garbage tvs for higher prices on a regular basis. i see these SAME issues on higher end tvs with a higher price from the big 3.
The past on the plate is to protect from rocks chipping the plate at it's lowest point to the ground
UPDATE . .
Cheers!

Could you name the source that mentions the U8HQ model being a similar fuck-up like the U8GQ (EU) / U8G (US) game was with Hisense?
