I used to have one exactly the same other than mine had an electric sunroof. Looked stunning in Raven Blue. That was around 17 years ago. Reg was WN52 OMP if anyone knows of its whereabouts. I guess it's a mid life crisis that's got me looking for one again😆 Really enjoyed the vid, thanks.

Excellent video Paul! Another one saved! I’m currently saving an anthracite gti, heated seats were not only with the leathers, mine has the red interior pack and heated cloth seats. Heated seats were part of a winter pack along with heated washer jets, it’s also got air con and a sunroof, so very good spec.

Hey Stephen, thanks for your comment you made me smile. I don't think anybody noticed Get Carter up to this point? I was about 10 years old when I first saw that film on TV and it stayed in my head for all those years. 'John Carpenter Assault on Precinct 13' a remix from 2:00, 'Snatch' on 5:20 , 'old GTA and Bully' sonudtracks , Top Gears The A-Team, and just before the Get Carter theme was 'The Rumble' and Dusty Springfield Son of a Preacher Man' from Pulp Fiction (at Starbucks). I'm sure there's one or two more that I've forgotten. I am so happy that you noticed Steven because that's the type of channel I want to build here now. @alefrisulli 5 лет назад

      Well thanks for your answer!
The engine itself never had a rebuild, but there are new valves and seals in the cylinder head. The previous owner had to change them at 135k miles. (well known problem on these engines).
It's the first gearbox as well, but i have to rebuild it soon, works great but it's a little bit noisy.
Actually i don't know if it runs a little bit faster, i bought it with 160k miles on it but i think the car still has its original 125hp.

Hi Thomas and thank you for your comment. The radio is a VW MFD1. I have a 6 disc changer fitted to it, but you can make it support AUX (or , and USB) however I don't recommend that because no matter how well you do your MP3 files it never turns out in order. That was a problem on this one and my previous one. Rear subframe can and does rust, look out for that although it's not very expensive to have that welded. Other than that it's just the usual Volkswagen leaking vales (like my one), and I think that's about it. @@Nizacx I forgot to mention that the sat nav is the only one that fits in the slot. Dont get the MFD2 etc because they will not go into your dashboard. If you look on eBay you can find them as cheap as £150 and as expensive as £300. You will also need the little sat nav antenna which is only about £10
