      Or if you're lazy like me, head over to canyourunit and use their tool. It's a small download which inspects your hardware and comparews it to the specs required, and possibly some other metrics too. As far as I can tell there's no spyware etc bundled in it (I scanned it with a couple of spyware tools). Yeah I kn ow I'm a dumb ass and I should know all the specs of my pc off by heart, including the entire manufacturer history and serial numbers, but I just don't so sue me

    SI would solve 90% of their problems if they weren't so terrible at marketing. Im sure there is probably millions of people who would also play their game if they learnt how to actually show it off properly.

    No point pre ordering because:
    1. No beta/early access mentioned
    2. SI won't run out of copies to sell because it's a digital game.
    3. All doom and gloom from SI, big features removed, delayed release, no footage of ME or how UI works, Roadmap with one confirmed date/week on it.
    If you pre order I think you are solely doing it out of the love for FM because there is nothing logical about pre ordering atm. The fact they are asking for pre orders without even showing the new ME etc is shameless from SI

    • @TheBake1986

      Asking for pre-orders before showing the game is shameful and unacceptable business practice to me. This isn’t a kickstarter or dream project.

    • @bradwhiteuk
      @bradwhiteuk 3 дня назад +3

      In general, pre-ordering is a bad idea. However, for the last several FM releases I think it's been ok to pre-order, because you get early-access AND you have a pretty strong idea what the game will be like.
      Neither of those reasons exist for FM25. Please guys, do NOT pre-order, at least until we've seen some concrete idea about what we're gonna be getting. The development cycle for this game could hardly be throwing up MORE red flags than it currently is.

    • @anthonyguiness9
      @anthonyguiness9 3 дня назад

      @@bradwhiteukOh development could definitely be worse 😂 Pre-ordering isn't bad. At the end of the day it's up to individuals if they want to pre-order, some will always pre-order and some never will.

      i hate beta and early access it takes the fun of a complete game, i dont want a half game, just release the game when its full... i pre-ordered it because FM its still FM never disappoints! Even if 2025 isnt like 2024, atleast i will try something new and if i dont like it i can always play 2024 so not a big deal. Pre-order was 10% off so ofc i am gonna take it

    • @garrytherat4793
      @garrytherat4793 День назад +1

      @@Ioustianosearly access is not so much for you as it is for them to gather massive data to find as many bugs as possible to fix for launch. Having 20 playtesters is not the same as having hundreds of thousands racking thousands of hours of diverse playstiles in a matter of days. Then again, obviously they use it as a tool to push people to preorder because fomo is a thing, but that early access period is a pretty useful thing to have.

    37% of people annoyed/gutted about the removal of International football is quite high! Considering the 5.6% stat for saves that’s used International management.
    If you remove all the saves where people opened up FM once or twice, played for 4 or 5 hours, never completed a full season, I wonder if that 5.6% would have higher?
    This poll suggests people care more about International Football in FM than the loud “who cares it’s rubbish anyway” people on X

      i can only speak for me but can imagine other people feel the same. I didnt touch international management for years because it sucked. I would love nothing more than a proper mode to play international teams and thats what i have hoped for for so long. A complete overhaul of it to make it as enjoyable as it should be, instead of removing it. As long as they bring it bcak the year after, and its better than it was, i will be happy. wont judge SI too harsh for their fm25 slip, still believe theyre trying their best but couldnt handle the transition to the engine in time

    • @saltybfm
      @saltybfm 3 дня назад

      @@alexhoe5684Oh yeah agreed, anyone that says it was good is a liar or has never played it 😂 It’s been one of the top requests to improve for years though. SI’s nuclear option of just removing it after years of it being substandard is potentially the right thing to do, but that’s only because they didn’t fix the problem sooner, so no real sympathy from me for them getting grief on that front

    • @TheBake1986
      @TheBake1986 3 дня назад

      I don’t play international management but I’m frustrated by its removal simply because rather than fix something they’ve just removed it. It blows my mind that you won’t be able to manage a country on a football management game in 2025 when games in the 90’s allowed it

    • @Nasiulciaa
      @Nasiulciaa 3 дня назад +2

      Nobody plays international management not because they dont want to, but its because international management is just so tedious. I wanted to play a build a nation save with Estonia and the national team, but it is just way too broken. The same 5 dialogues recycled over and over again, you have to hand-pick all 23 players because the automatic recommendation just picks players with 0 match sharpness. Then players always arrived in the national team tired from their last club game and I couldn't even manage their fitness. Combine that with the awful thing the game has where way too often you can have a left-back completely unable to play left wing-back position, which makes it impossible to fit some players in, despite the fact they are good enough to play. In your clubs you can retrain players (and fullbacks for example can take like a few months max to be able to play wingback), but in international management you have no options at all.
      Whenever the international games came about I would just holiday through the game as I didn't wanna bother anymore. I ended up creating a new unsackable manager, putting a not-trash not-broken tactic and just having them go on a permanent holiday so that the national games are actually simmed and not just resolved based on reputation.

      I was surprised they pretty much glossed over that and defaulted to the 'no-one really cares' position from it. Even if the 5% stat is accurate (and not taking into account people who opened it to get the steam cards etc) it's a good chunk of people who are actively annoyed enough about SI's overall treatment of it to vote in a poll

    Japan's J1 League, the viewership typically averages around 6 to 7 million weekly viewers across various broadcast platforms, primarily driven by a strong domestic fanbase and growing international interest,
    In contrast, the English Women's Super League has been seeing a steady rise in viewership, with weekly matches sometimes surpassing 500,000 viewers on major broadcasts like BBC and Sky Sports, This is why adding the Japanese league can bring them a lot more players for their game than adding any female league.
    Just because we in Europe don’t care about the Japanese league doesn’t mean that there aren’t a lot of people who do. Numbers don’t lie

    Some FM content creators keep saying that adding women’s football is the same as adding other men’s leagues. As a software dev with 15 years of experience I’m sure it’s not as trivial as that. At least if they tried to do it right and made the women’s game reflect the real-life differences in the engine. I bet they spent significant resources on doing that, which caused delays and feature removals. Nobody knows how complicated it was to add all that, but it definitely added more work for the whole team. So, given that lots of people are upset that women’s football is being added to the detriment of the main game. A feature that they don’t want in the first place causing problems for the main game is a solid argument.
    Personally, I totally support adding women’s football, even if only a small percentage of people will play it. FM should be a game for everyone. But that said, I want a solid, fully-featured game of men’s football first.

    Great commentary on the results and a fairly objective stance, I liked that a lot.
    What was not covered so well, in my opinion, was the topic about the weight stat. The reason I feel annoyed for example has very little to do with the stat itself, but rather with the reason of why it was removed. Basically they are compromising the game experience for the addition of a new feature, and might do so in a much more relevant way in other parts of the game, like the match engine itself.
    I get a similar feeling when learning about what compromises have been made / are likely to be made to carter to the console playing experience. If the UI features are being developed separately for each platform, the worst thing is having less ressources for each, but at least they are optimizing for each platform, instead of making compromises left and right.
    How many games have been ruined in the past by the transition from PC to Console, even way back. And how many games (and other media) have been degraded because of features implemented out of political reasons - that's what is "bothering" me with the seemingly little thing of removing the weight stat.
    Anyway, I am hopeful for the new FM and looking forward to how big of an impact all the different player attributes are going to make in the new match engine. Hopefully we will be able to see the difference between a 10 and 15 in passing, dribbling and so on.

    On the pre-order thing. If you look at steam stats for FM22,23,24, there aren't that many pre-orders generally. User numbers sit 10-20k mark during that period. Interestingly, user nunbers overall don't seem to peak until after christmas around late December, January. Numbers stay fairly stable until October of said year when they drop off a cliff down to about 5k active users. 🤔

    i think part of the issue with a poll like this is that it's limited to certain specific choices where as what some users choice opinion on a certain posed question might be, is something other than the choices given therefore it's a next best choice, which may be more open to re-evaliation then there own specific opinion......for instance my own opinion on what i think of the new layout is, franky i couldn't care less at this stage, as long as it's functionable my opion is much more based on what most players are concerned about.....but could not care less or indifferent for one of a more formal reply is not on the list of options.....btw this issue happens with many polls, and is really just a limitation of how polls function... ultimate question, are they doing a Rockstar? yeah maybe.. thx for this insight, really interesting

    Staying positive and hoping the match engine looks good but it makes no sense for them to hold back footage if it looks good because they know it would be great for marketing and fan service so they literally have no reason other than it wouldn't sell it. Them dropping the pre-order before we even get a screenshot also seems to back up that they know the engine isnt going to sell this game. Maybe it is just a few tweaks away from being good, so my fingers are crossed.

    International Management:- Many play it as BOTH a club and International manager eg Valduz AND Lietchtenstien, so don't have the clicking weeks without anything happening! I do and was promised I could continue my save onto FM25 I HAVE BEEN LIED TO AND LET DOWN. It was suggested only a small percentage of players ever played it! It appears to be about the same percentage as are looking forward to women's football. Data which I used WEIGHT to assess which CB would likely be more able to muscle a forward off of the ball, has been dropped as it might offend! Ridicules How does women's boxing have weight categories!!! And yes I agree that the advertising of FM25 is very very poor.

      Since FM24 was available on Xbox Game Pass it's also very likely that many casuals downloaded it for free to try it, played one or two seasons, and then never touched it again. Basing key decisions as they have done on stats from FM24 has clearly skewed the data. Everybody can see that the opportunity cost of adding women's football would have been better utilized by adding back international management. As most companies do these days, SI has probably prioritised adding women's football as a way to label anyone unhappy with the fact that FM25 is shaping up to be a straight downgrade on FM24 as "misogynistic" as a pathetic defence to justify releasing a half-baked, beta version of the new FM.

    I think people are going about this wrong, yes, it's the first time EVER that there's been delays, and problems in development, and that's a good thing:
    1 - If there were no problems before it's because not much had changed.
    2 - There are problems now which means things actually really changed, which is good.
    3 - Since it's the first iteration in the new engine, it's normal that they delay things BECAUSE they want to control the expectations, showing stuff that is unready and might not make it into the final game will only be detrimental.
    Also people exaggerate the removed features:
    1 - International management sucked and NOBODY plays it, it was bad, boring, if you didn't play it, you won't miss it next game. I agree that taking out features "feels bad" however realistically it wasn't good enough anyways, and if the tradeoff for a long requested graphics overhaul, ui overhaul, and a whole database being implemented (womens football) is to give up international management (FOR ONE YEAR) and have it be better later, I think it's worth it.
    2 - Shouts were stupid and you couldn't even notice if they made a difference or not, they weren't strategic, the responses were random. Nobody crying about how shouts are so bad, but now that they have been removed, apparently it's the end of the world?

    I think that, for me personally after 31 years or so playing Championship Manager/Football Manager, this is the first one I’ve felt any kind of trepidation or hesitation for.
    From CM93 onwards, I’ve been excited and anticipating every single release, but with FM25 with 2 years or so of development behind it as FM24 was essentially just an update and reskin of FM23, and delays, lack of information, no beta etc. it’s got me worrying they’ve dropped the ball on this one.
    Now, I’m not saying they won’t recover it for FM26, but I have a gut feeling that 25 is going to be problematic and they’ll fix it for 26, so 25 will end up being kind of a write off, but I hope I’m wrong.
    I’m firmly in the “Undecided” category. Like Luke said here, FM24 is still enjoyable, still fun, there are transfer updates etc available to download that would carry me over to FM26 if FM25 is problematic, but I’m 100% not buying it on release! I generally tend not to buy FM until after Christmas these days as it gives 8 weeks or so usually for any bugs or issues to be patched out

Why not change up the roadmap as soon as you see this and put the big feature (graphics) first?

    I'm from an era when there was little to no promotion for new titles apart from the odd advert in a games magazine, so I don't really care about when they choose to show off the new game. In fact, I wouldn't care if there wasn't any promotion for it, because it makes sod all difference. You're either going to like the game when it comes out or you're not. There will be plenty of gameplay videos, streams and reviews after launch, so if you're wary about buying it, wait for those. It's not going to sell out in a couple of days. I can't be bothered with this overwhelming entitlement to know everything about it before it's released. But I suppose that's how the industry is these days. And before I get the 'but SI expect you to pre-order based on nothing' line - NO, they don't. They give you the option to pre-order. Overall sales figures is what matters to them, not how many people pre-order beforehand. People need to just chill and wait for what comes out. At the end of the day, it's hardly life of death.

    • @braxton9192

      I'll give you a rundown of why people are down on the game since maybe you live under a rock:
      -Lack of news about the Match Engine other than the fact it's running on unity
      -Removal of features
      -Lack of news of new features
      -No early access/beta while still asking for pre-orders
      -the game is delayed
      -horrible marketing decisions
      Yes the game will be new and different but the worry is that it isn't gonna be a good game... Personally I think it's gonna take them a few cycles before they get it right... But man I didn't expect them to be fumbling around like this... You have one man dev teams for indie games that are better at communicating and marketing their game with no budget

    36% feeling negatively about international football being removed compared to 7% being excited for the addition of women's football might be minorly worrying. I think the concern that is being dismissed towards the end of this video is that people aren't necessarily annoyed about the women's game being included, it's the fact it's to the detriment of the game in general. Add women and keep all the features would have WAY less of a negative reaction than we're currently seeing.

    Pre-Ordering has been ruined by other developers, I don't pre-order anything anymore... It's not an FM thing, it's a thieving video game industry thing.
    The 11.1% of the people who hate the inclusion of women's football clearly were not hugged enough as children, and should probably be on a watchlist.

The only changes they made each year were things I couldn’t care less about. I haven’t liked the layout in the past few, I never use the data centre, I never use shouts, full of glitches still and the match engine has been trash. I’m excited because at least this is something new and it’s the start of a new era for FM which is the most exciting thing that’s happened for a long time. If people don’t like it then skip it and stick with fm 24 and show them you’re not happy by not handing your money over.

    About womens football, i would somewhat understand the hate if it was standalone and a different gamemode, as i believe it would get lower numbers than international management did which was taken out, but as its combined, in a journeyman and u never really knew any of the leagues u start with so joining Fc Gifu in J3 would be the exact same as joining Brighton Womens, meaning that its like a new country getting added, except its got a database of 20k+ players, allowing a tonne more leagues to explore with different rules, which is the whole point of journeymen saves, exploring new leagues, so i believe womens football is the most exciting part of fm25s release, if not the only exciting part

    I've been playing FM/CM since the 93/94 season - bought it every year - but I've never pre-ordered. I don't think you can pre-order any game these days as they are all a buggy mess and FM is no different. I buy it around Christmas when it's had several months of community playtests to iron out the wrinkles and some additional content skins etc. have come out to make it more of a looker. I don't like that SI are removing any features not because I study players' weight before I sign them or because I play a lot of international football (though I do enjoy a save with a club/country combo in the same small country acting as almost a feeder club to the national team) but because it just feels like a backward step and one that they are introducing because they have to commit resources elsewhere because the rest of the game is perhaps in trouble. I'd also say for many that's how they feel about women's football being included - if the rest of the game was fine and wasn't delayed/in trouble then there would be far less comment (there would always be some) but because the rest of the game seems in trouble people are annoyed that resources have been put into women's football rather than fixing/optimizing the rest of the game.

    I felt the screen shots (even though they say could change) they’ve realised looked too developed for console and mobile.
    On a personal level I have no interest in the women’s game on fm and I feel they have spent unnecessary funds on it but I don’t have to play it however they could’ve spent those funds on improvements in other areas eg on international management
