  • My furnace blower was not shutting off and was blowing cold air only. The problem was a faulty Fan Limit Control Switch. This switch has a temperature sensor and is installed inside the furnace chamber. A faulty switch sends out a false signal that the chamber is too hot and the blower fan stays on to cool things off and of course the heater does not turn on.
This video describes the removal and replacement of this control switch.
The part number is Cam-Stat L59-7B-A.
    Thanks for watching!

Great video, you saved me a bunch of money. Your idea of checking it over the stove was genius, that's how I determined one switch I had was bad and the other wasn't.

I noticed at the end of your video, when the blower kicked on the flames changed, showing that you have a cracked heat exchanger. that's dangerous, flue gases can be getting into your house, through the supply air. You need a new furnace, and if you want I teach a hvac class At Ridley Lowell Poughkeepsie NY . We teach can teach you what you need to know

Not so sure about your evaluation . The flame momentarily turned yellow due to the change in the air flow the blower introduced. I saw no Roll out at all.

Could be that it's a small crack not quite big enough for a roll-out but gases could still escape through.
      I wouldn't risk it.

I was waiting to see how you test it exactly with the meter which setting and what to look for! If you say that the part works, then how is the furnace lighting, it doesn't make sense.

saintsamaritan Hello and thanks for your comment. This a switch which is normally closed. This means the two terminals should show as connected - low resistance in your ohmmeter. Thanks again for watching.

you need to go back to youtube and watch a video about checking the heat exchanger because I notice that you might have a heat exchanger crack
