  • If you have a Solo Stove, you should empty the ash pan after every use, wipe down the fire pit with a clean cloth and store it in the carry case or cover.

    I have one of these.. the large $600 device and you need 2 people to flip it over and shake out the ash without damaging it.. what kind of designer does not design in a way to get the ash out.. akin to a toaster oven tray. You just can’t fix stupid.

    My wife and I bought one of these sight unseen. Amazing design at low smoke fires but why did they make it so hard to get the ashes out? Its like a bag grass catcher that is permanently attached to the mower.
    Also I appreciate the short video not wasting my time; but this guy never used it and he’s telling us what to do? Meh.

    Wish I had waited to buy the new one that is easier to clean out. I feel like my current one doesn’t work as well bc turning it upside down and shaking it only gets so much.
    The stove isn’t “breathing” like it did when new.
