    You’ve got this life thing figured out. I don’t mean monetarily. I mean wisdom. You have had such great humility in learning and growing. I’m blown away with your transformation from years ago. Nothing but the best of wishes, Good Sir. I admire and look up to the husband and father you have become. Thank you. ❤

    I went with the Solo Bonfire, heat deflector, and riser. I added the 20" BBQSTAR detachable, adjustable height, and swivel grill for $80, Amazon. I just remove the heat deflector and drop the grill pole into the side mount arm. Made some hot dogs and slider sized burgers and it worked perfectly with the ability to swivel and adjust height from the heat depending on what is needed. I haven't tried; but, it should work equally as well if I added a cast iron skillet on top of the grill grate for eggs, bacon, and pan fried potatoes for b-fast.

I have the dark charcoal colored Bonfire to help hide discoloration from use. The exposed stainless steel with contact with the fire does turn a copper/bronze color with use.

    I think if you would throw less wood in it wouldn't have cooked so hot and it doesn't matter anyways because you nailed it with the cook

  • @antonioc.5876
    @antonioc.5876 3 месяца назад

    the wood load is excessive and in fact the circular pyrolytic flame created by the air coming out of the upper holes does not form. it is working like a common brazier. the pyrolytic stove works with a small charge on the bottom, where the wood gasifies without flame, the hot gas meeting the oxygen conducted to the upper edge by the holes ignites at a higher temperature, exactly like a home gas stove, forming a fixed dart. if the flame wavers shapelessly in the center it is not pyrolytic combustion, less wood must be added and unfortunately it must be continually added a little at a time as it is consumed

    I’d figure you be into big green egg. I’ve got an impirial kamado that was straight from Japan during the war period. An old lady named hatsune gave it to me for always helping jump start her cars. It was her husband’s before he came to pass. I can cook anything with it. A true all in one earthenware beast. I’ve slow roasted whole ducks and turkey in it. I’ve baked artisan bread in it. I’ve even dropped a wok on it and done tempura and Szechuan style stir fry. As with anything you’re cooking with. It’s all about control of times and temperatures. Everything else is pure skill and technique. Essentially anyone can cook, like ratatouille 😆 as far as camping or cooking out on trips. The wok is all I need for anything. You can drop it right onto coals and utilize a lid for different methods like baking and steaming. Lovely stuff.🐸🍺🔪🔥
