I love how primal and almost violent Yannis gets performing this, perfectly fits the tone of the song
The original version takes you on a journey.
This one, a shortened version, stabs you in the heart.
anyone saying this is a bad sound recording there are missing the point completely...its meant to sound brash...that is where the soul of music lies deep down dirty hard blood sweat and tears passion...its not about the sound of perfection its about the rawness of the moment and in this performance it has vulnerability heart fear love anger darkness and emotion all in...this is music
No the sound engineer is not doing their job
You nailed it dude
Hahahaha wow, the lady at 3:19 is not amused at ALL. If I were in her place, I would be screaming along to the song lol.
+Jumperboy333 That was Rickie Lee Jones. She looked a little disturbed by it all didn't she? Amazing performance.
she clearly smiles as he walks away..she was diggin it
I think she got turned on really.
Foals was playing. of course she was turned on. I certainly was.
+Jake Bickerton I didn't know she was also an artist. I guess this is not her favorite genre of music, hehe.
love how carefully he puts his guitar down 😎 respect!
3:36 and then kick it 😂
It’s a travis bean I don’t blame him
HOLY SHIT BALLS this band and performance is great.... full force in the pocket power house of sound....incredibly fantastic yannis love it love it love it...MORE MORE MORE please
i love how yannis begins channeling shia labeouf at 3:33. just DO IT.
Absolutely awesome! Love the raw bad-ass attitude!! Rock N Roll
This song is the nuts!!makes you want to go mental
+Justin Kersey it's up there with one of my favourite songs of all time. I've been listening to it since this performance and it's still as good as the first time I heard it. The layers of it, the way it builds up then smashes you at the end! It's the perfect song for me personally. Rock Ness Roll!!
When I heard this I was at work so I stuck it on the sound system and went mental!!!lol I love the video to this song!!!
+Justin Kersey Foals are up there with one of my favourite bands now for me. I liked their previous albums but this single and What Went Down itself has catapulted them right up there for me! This song just makes me so energised it's unreal! I played it to my mates when we were high on acid (naughty boys haha) and the euphoria was indescribable! (shh don't tell Mum about the acid haha)
+Dan Lord don't worry I won't tell your mum!!lol been there!!l was disappointed in the album myself....I only bought it for this song!!!I just want to go mental when I hear this
oh my god. absolutely. jesus. f**kin amazing.
That's Rickie Lee Jones. She apparently was later quoted saying she loved the performance. And particularly the lead singer. Haha
To be fair, you can see her slightly smile when he leaves
3:02 hahahah Jools doesnt feel like inviting them anytime soon!! also noticed Yannis has this Sam Herring vibe here(and thats a good thing, both bands totally kill it live)
First time I saw this video I turned up volume at min 1.00 and thought OMG this is becoming serious. I ended it up jumping like MAD
send shivers down my spine
I cannot wait to see them in Fairview Park in Dublin in a few weeks. This song hits every fiber and nerve. The band is awesome and Yannis has to be one of the greatest front men ever.
Have had Foals in collection for A G E S and not given much attention. But this performance presses ALL my buttons and they have my FULL ATTENTION . . . FABULOUS !!!!!!!! (Tickets now bought for tour :-) )
Wow! Just wow! Absolute quality!
Yannis has so much attitude, don't care about that woman at 3:19, LOVE FOALS!!!!!!!!!!
Ahhh, loving the new album!! Catfish and the bottlemen AND these all in one weekend in November!!
Same here! Catfish in Brixton and then Foals in Cardiff. Cannot wait for that weekend!!
Best performance ever of Foals
the soundtrack our lives... rock n roll yeah
+Emiliano Ortega-Guerrero INDIE ROCK AWESOME
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh that gives me an impression of how will be their show here in Chile!!!!!!! FUCKING AWESOME, CAN'T WAIT FOR IT!!!!!!
The guitar 🎸 and bass sounds so bouncy and groovy and Yannis voice is so good here
Took a few listens but now I fucking love this track. Very good album, foals have got better with this heavier shit.
3:19 WTF??!! lol
AleAleAle she smiled
3:29 when I feel low when I feel low I feel it
so good this man....
FUCKIN INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE....PERFECT IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE....SOUND TECHNICIAN HAD IT SET UP TO PERFECTION....PROPS TO THE SOUND TECHS...
That was exciting.
AMAZING
they didn't went down. they went full metal
fecking brilliant performance
LMFAO! 3:19
superb
That was mental haha
I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT LOL
This is fucking brilliant
With the gospel backing vocals this could be a number sung by the blues brothers.. all we need here is a sax solo in the middle ;-)
Honestly the most moving music I have ever heard on Jools Holland. Makes me want to destroy the place.
Holland never rocked out like this.
well she has no idea what went down... not feeling it
She smiled, dude.
The sound is gross. Especially the drum cymbals. And someone will watch this and get a bad impression of the band because of not knowing it's the fault of the production not the band. Bad work, BBC
+TheTrooper9169666 totally agree.
+TheTrooper9169666i
+TheTrooper9169666 What would you do differently?
Nah the sound is fantastic, dirty, messy and thick - I think I prefer this to the album version
To be fair to the team behind Jools Holland, it must be such a ballache to work out how to get the sound right for each band.
Bu adam O Ses Türkiye ye çıksa kimse dönmez.
я оставлю здесь на русском:
Охуительно.
Спасибо.
I wish more pop songs would include the word 'carrots' in the lyrics.
+naztubez Here's one: Carrot Rope by Pavement :)
***** YES! My life is more or less complete.
FFFFFFFFFFFFUCKINFFFFFANTASTIC
brutal
Fuck! Yeah!
Jeeeeezz
La ruca Jajajajaja 3:19
Make more epic songs
Yannis reminds me of the Future Islands front man here
i can't think of anything more insulting than that comment
+jacob arnold Was it the chest thumping?
yannis philippakis subió de peso !
Energy.
Rockstar - simple as
I love this but I miss the glory days of Spanish sahara and French open.
+Sam Biggs Those were completely different times to each other...
Very shite comment
+Evan Blamilton i know I just meant how great those first two albums were. The new stuff just seems a bit generic
I get what you mean, but I think it's all good. The new record has a lot of songs less generic that What Went Down.
Glory days . Mate by the sounds of it you weren't there. Easy enough to distinguish between the live eras
terrible sound engineer
The shazam sessions sound great though
But this is how its always played live...
Why cant i watch this in my country? australia
It won't play upside down
Try now, it works for me 5 years later hahaha
i can't even...
sound is too clean
What a performance! That woman's performance earlier in the show with Jools was shit and boring anyway.
whats with the weird overdrive all over this?
the lady at 3:19 have defenetly seen some shit. it'll take way more to impress her
The singer looks like mo salah !
Kurt was better. More anger
structures been changed completely to save time so annoying
it's good but not the best
His voice has gone
+23lFrench Well, he did "snap his larynx" a couple of weeks ago. And he was never the best live singer in the first place.
+Matthew Birchall Should of had a better technique then
@@matthewbirchall1426 talking about the best live band in the UK lol.
Is the singer gay? Anyone knows?
No he has a girlfriend
