Travel Day Disaster: Stuck in the Wrong Town!

What happens when you take a bus with no plan and end up in a town that just doesn’t feel right? Welcome to Saraburi, Thailand-an industrial city I hadn’t planned to visit, and as soon as I arrived, I knew I had to leave.
This unplanned Thailand travel day started in Lopburi, where I set off with no real destination in mind. After a 45-baht (£1) bus ride, I arrived in Saraburi, only to realise there were no hostels, no real tourist sights, and not much going on. With my backpack still strapped on, I made my way to the train station, hoping for a way out.
That’s when I found a delayed Ordinary Train heading to Pak Chong-a place I hadn’t even considered but sounded way better. For just 14 baht (30p), I was on my way again, leaving Saraburi behind.
Pak Chong is the gateway to Khao Yai National Park, but what’s the town itself like? I check into a £8 hostel, take a quick look around, and wonder-have I finally ended up somewhere worth staying?
