Fantastic performance - perhaps the best I have heard both in timbre and timing, which is crucial in this piece - of one of Stravinsky's and the entire 20th century's greatest masterpieces.
Superb performance! I was involved in a performance of this piece (French horn) about 65 years ago (at Hertz Hall in Berkeley, 1960), and have been haunted by it ever since. That appreciation was based very much on having been "inside" the piece. Apparently many have come to love it from the "outside" too, but that seems odd to me. Approached from the "outside" (i.e., purely as a listener, not as a performer), I worry that the piece might seem cryptic, unappealing? Which would be a shame, since, as others have said here in the comments, it is "special" -- a truly remarkable piece of music, a sublime landmark of twentieth century music.
Can't we sit still and talk about the world coming through our fingernails A blizzard in the mirror, and people walking slowly,
Can't we talk about the wind without a body, glass without a mind, and the constellations that take the night sky?
All those who died yesterday, thirty-seven, zombies on the glass watching us, well, we can get in with our fingernails
I don't have enough fingers the song is overflowing
The clock revolves in the world of clocks, and as if we had no time and to the sun that disappeared with its shadow,
Can't we talk about the world sitting on the eyelashes In the mirror still a blizzard, but plants with nowhere to go, Other blood can go everywhere You'd say with another blood
Can't we talk about long long eyes that melt in water, things bluer than herring? I like herring 'Cause I've never eaten
Long long fins, shouldn't we meet someone who tells us we're in the water There's no hole 'cause we're holes A blizzard in flowing water,
Can't we talk about the snow melted in the water ,

Thank you very much for this comment - we are very pleased that you like our interpretation of Stravinsky so much.
A long, long time favourite of mine, for around 5 decades.
Thanks :))

Just beautiful playing.
Thank you! :)))
Unmistakenly a Stravinsky composition - so astringent. Many a motif used elsewhere.
Magnificent! Thank you very much!
You are very welcome! :)
One of the great art mythos awe-inspiring pieces of music. This is the aesthetic of the artistic spiritual future
Thank you, much appreciated!!
Thank you. This is one of those pieces to me that after having had it's say nothing else needs to be said.
Our pleasure! Thank you for joining us!
Beautiful show - so many nice nuances and effective transitions. Bravo!
Thank you very much for this lovely compliment!☺️
beautifully played
:)))
Me encantó esta obra.
Muchas gracias!!
Strawinsky est un génie, sa musique inventive, joyeuse est toujours ina(en)ttendue, elle évoque pour moi l'univers de Picasso, son alter ego.
