the stick steering is so much fun to drive, sometimes I fantasize about having a side or center console but the stick steer is too much fun...livewell bench seat and the power pole in the stern come in clutch...I love this Gheenoe...the only downside is its cramped for 2 people but that's ok
Billy, I have an order with Custom Gheenoe for an LT25 with a delivery date of October. I wanted to ask you about the stick steering. If you had to do it all over again given your experience with the LT25; would you go stick, side console, tiller, or center console? I am undecided. Thank you.
I love the stick steering, its just plain fun to drive, sometimes I fantasize about how cool a center or side console is but the stick steer has turned out to be great...ive had a few issues with the steering cable but you won't if you maintain it properly...stick steer was a bit of a learning curve especially in tight quarters but you get used to it after a while....theres something special about the stick...if I had to do it again id go for the stick but also consider the side console...space is tight so I think a center console may take up too much fishing space...either way you've made an awesome decision and are gonna love the Gheenoe life...Good Luck!
