Some *PRO TIPS* for general escooter ownership 1) Consider using threadlocker on handlebar screws. They will work themselves loose through vibration. This has slowly happened at some point with every escooter I've owned. 2) Consider buying a spare tyre / inner tube in advance. Depending on the tyre size you might have to import the replacement, if you do it could take 3/4 weeks to arrive. 3) You could buy solid tyres to prevent ever having punctures, but you loose a great deal of ride comfort doing so because pneumatic air tyres soak up bumps a lot better. Air tyres act as suspension. 4) Using tyre slime to prevent punctures is a good call

Regarding police... two of my colleague use them daily for work and tell me they are always left alone. In my recent video at 3:32 police pass an escooter. They didn't do anything! Not saying you're safe... you might bump into an officers trying to get his numbers up

How's the repairbility when it will eventually need a new battery? will be bricked like stupid onewheels? or can you just swap any chinese battery when the time comes?
There are Facebook group dedicated to this stuff. My understanding is so long as the battery is the same voltage (36v) and it fits in the compartment under the footboard it'll be just fine. I know people who have managed to fit higher AH rated batteries in their escoots for longer distance
When I received this it was at 60%. When the battery is charging the light turns red. If the light stays green it either means it's fully charged or something isn't working right
I just got a Xiaomi Pro 2 used for £180. It does 25kmh and I can do 15 miles on sport mode. It's steering colomn is wobbly though so needs a little fix. But it's illegal to use an e scooter that isn't a government backed trial scooter. I was thinking of buying an imported e bike because then it gets the throttle rather than power assisted and no legal issues

Yes. There are 1500w-2000w escooters that have motors in both wheels. They usually have two motorcycle-size batteries under the foot board. Usually cost over £1K

I think these things are amazing and they should be legal. There's a few bad eggs in every single outdoor activity. We shouldn't let the bad few hold back the majority good. The thing I like about escooters is when you need to get from A to B in a pinch absolutely nothing beats just grabbing the escoot, flicking it open and hitting the road.
