CRABBING In GALVESTON Bay (Blue Crab Catch & Cook)
HTML-код

- I went out to Galveston East bay last week and set out a Few Crab Traps. One of the traps ended up having a few nice keeper blue crabs in it so I took them home for a fresh catch and cook! I made an amazing crab recipe that I had never cooked up before and it turned out great.

Would be nice if you did an extensive crab video
That looks like I great recipe bro. My kids absolutely love crabs meat. I'll give it a shot and hopefully they will like🤞😄. Great content.

Looks delicious. Even better when you catch and prepare it yourself.

Wow, this video i REALLY enjoyed. Thank you for sharing it. I saved this one future crab cakes. And YES, I would like to see a video of those traps. Well done sir!
Glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching and I will be making a video on crab traps once the water starts to warm up after winter!
@@BeforeOutdoors I'll be looking forward to it. I plan on heading down to Galveston this summer to do some fishing and crabbing.

Great catch and cook vid, I appreciate the rules info on the pots could use a more in depth video as well on all the regulations for these local waterways.
Looks awesome
Thanks for watching
Props on the effort all around! Looks great!
Thanks for watching!
That crab looks amazing. Question. Is August a good month for crabbing there? What month does the crabbing slow down? Can you make some suggestions about where to crab?
I'm taking a vacation to Galveston. I don't live in a coastal state, so I don't have much experience crabbing. My mom used to take me and my sister when we were very young and lived in Louisiana. I've been watching crab videos a lot. Now, I really want to go crabbing. I've never eaten blue crabs before, and I can't wait to try it.
It will be an expensive vacation because i have to purchase an out of state license as well as all of the equipment to crab and cook my catch.
Great vid .. looks delicious👍
Appreciate it!
Nice 👍🏾
Thanks.
Looks good
Awesome video! Great looking recipe, too. I think if you would have mixed the meat with something wet, maybe mayo, it would have been even greater :-) Thanks for taking us along.
Hey there. First time on your channel.
Your recipe looks delicious.
I think I would of mixed all the ingredients together first before stuffing the shells but anyway you do it fresh from the catch you can't beat it.
Going to check out the rest of your videos. Just subscribed.
Tight lines.....
If possible man can you make that video describing what’s a legal crab trap in Texas. I want to get into crabbing but I was looking at the regulations and I’m honestly just confused. It also mentions only being able to harvest before sunrise and after sunset it be cool if you could explain that too. Thanks man
Man that looks real good I just wished that I didn`t live so far from Saltwater. I live just about in the middle of Florida. Enjoyed it
Thanks for watching chuck!
👍
nice crabs
Got a beach house in Galveston Wednesday-Sunday. Gonna be doing a lot of surf fishing if you want to get together! Just found you the other day but I’ve been watching a lot of your videos ever since! Would be cool to meet you and maybe even catch some fish!!
You record this with a toaster😅 good content
Always cool to see how other places catch crabs. We use the top shell up here to make Crab Fluff. Can you crab all year or does your season close?
I’ve never heard of crab fluff. I’ll need to look into that. And yes, we can crab pretty much all year long except for like 20 days in February I think. But, crabbing gets slow about this time of year until the water warms back up. Thanks for watching!
@@BeforeOutdoors it's an old Md recipe. Not many people make it anymore. They used to sell tin crab tops to put it in so you didn't have to use the shells.
I enjoyed your video! Me and my family want to go crabbing this spring break which is this week do you think the crabs will be biting???
It’s always hard to tell this time of year, the water is starting to warm up just a little, so you may be able to catch a few! Good luck and thank you so much for watching!
As I am unfamiliar with the area, can this be done in the interior bay water, or only on the Gulf shoreline?
It can be done pretty far up the bays! Heck, we find crabs way up in brackish water areas all the time, the real question is, do you want to eat them when they are that far up “stream”? I like to go farther from the city and closer to the beach to get away from the pollution!
I had a sweet honey hole in surfside
well share it
Drop the coordinates! 😂
What is your gear tag made of?
We cut a piece out of an old plastic bucket. Works great because you can rub off the sharpie with some acetone or whatever and write new dates on it instead of having to make a whole new tag!
Like and comment... Sure. Anything I can do to help a nice young fella along... 😁
Thank you, I appreciate that! It really helps the channel!
Does the bacon take away the the crab flavor?? Looks good though
I would say it does NOT take away from the crab to a point where you can’t taste all the different flavors.
What are the best months for crabbing?
Summertime! Because, as the water gets colder the crabs don’t move as much. So anywhere from like April to October are pretty good!
Crap trap requirement video please
Info
Were you out at Port Bolivar? Have you crabbed at Pelican Island?
That looks good
