- We have lived in Sydney for 7 years and yet not been able to explore all of its amazing beaches.
There are more than 100 beaches in Sydney, some more easily accessible than others but all worth a visit. We truly enjoyed visiting and spending relaxing time at these, in our opinion, top 10 beaches.
All of these beaches are accessible within 30 mins of bus, train or ferry ride from Sydney CBD.
Sydney is simple wonderful.. It's rare to see a 5mln people Metropolis surrounded by stunning beaches. Whether it's the season of carousing on the sand or just unseasonably warm, you can always justify a trip to the beach. And because Sydney is the city with - let's not be coy - some of the best city beaches in the world, we've put together a list of our ultimate beachside playgrounds within the city limits.

Good little video and it certainly guides locals to try some new beaches. For tourists though who maybe using this video as a guide, I would recommend you choose one of Sydney beautiful ocean beaches with clean sand, waves, foreshore walks, parks, playgrounds, surf lifesavers, amenities, food, etc. Manly Beach and Bronte Beach are two excellent choices, depending on which is closer for you.
Hi Terry, thank you for you opinion on the video..you’re are right, Mainly & Bronte are two of the most iconic beaches, but in our opinion far too crowded…We love more secluded beaches..at Mainly and Bronte,as well as Bondi and Coogee in peak season it’s even hard to find a spot to lay down..
@@magicace_gold Fair enough. Clearly everyone has their own opinion on the “Best Beach” and everyone chooses differently. If we all had the same answer, everyone in Sydney would use that one beach, then we’d really have some chaos!! 🤪😂
Where do you rank whale beach?
Where are all the other North Shore beaches??? Seriously, you CANNOT go past Palm Beach or Whale Beach.
Bruce as I said, it is very subjective :) You’re right but It was hard to exclude any of those in the video.. Sydney’s has many more but then what would you exclude from those 10?

You left out so many great beaches it’s hard to know where to start. You didn’t mention that most of your choices are Harbour beaches with no surf, and many of them are crowded with moored boats making swimming difficult.

Wow so nice. I been to Bondi beach and manly beach it’s near the city of Sydney. And I been to Stanwell Park beach also they are all beautiful. I love Bondi Beach it’s 12 minutes from the city.
There are so many beautiful beaches. It’a really hard to choose one.The secluded ones are the best.
Shelly beach was the best for me to swim,all other beaches like Bondi or Manly were dangerous due to high waves.
Yeah that true,they are more for surfers. And too crowded also

It looks like Bondi and Manly Beaches are the only 2 with surf.
They are surely the main ones but also Tamarama beach is very well known for surfing.

it really doesn't matter what city your in, in Australia every 1 of them have great beaches, doing a top beach video is pretty much a waste of time every beach in Australia is great Sydney doesn't have the best beaches in Oz

I didnt like Sydney,hilly,dusty,hot. Rush hour traffic,all day long. And so far away from the Diversity of European Capitals and Beaches. My opinion😊
It’s very subjective.. I,for example don’t like most of European cities..if you think its hectic and polluted here,what would you say about London,Paris,Rome,etc??
