    Bad timing moment...I had just taken a sip of whiskey the moment you said you get in the truck seductively and I almost lost it! 🤣

    @WhiskeyDogOutdoors, GREAT video! GREAT idea! Nice job on the false tailgate. Crocs is all I wear and have worn for the last 20+ years. Nothing beats a nice pair of Off-road Crocs. Preferably in Mossy Oak Camo, but brown works, too.

    Have you ever considered cutting the false tailgate in half and making it hinged? Might make it easier to carry/store?
    Great video by the way. Righteous beard!!!

      Man I haven’t but I really don’t have any issues like that with this one. It’s very light and is easy to install and store for me. Might be a good idea for some though. And thank you!

      I’m so glad you found value in the video. And thank you for the beard compliment. I braid it from time to time here on the channel, but don’t think I’ve worn them with beads here.

    Have you ever thought of using Dry Ice to cool the inside of the back of the truck? Open a cooler once it gets cool simply close?

    • @whiskeydogoutdoors
      @whiskeydogoutdoors  12 дней назад

      Dry ice in a confined space is dangerous and can lead to suffocation so while I’ve used it a few times for unrelated causes, I avoid it when camping.

    Man you have a very very nice truck camping setup man. I really like your setup. Thank you so much for sharing your setup man. I need to do a truck camping setup my self. Right now I'm using my bed of my truck to carry my kayak. But i like to set it up for camping for my put in or take out . Just need to know how i am going to carry my kayak. I like your Crocs man. Ain't nothing wrong with wearing crocs man. Everyone is wearing them now so you fit right in with everyone. I am glad you did the video in your crocs. I know they are very comfortable to wear & if they are very comfortable on your feet 🦶 you should wear them. It would be awesome to see you wearing your flip flops 🩴 too man in the video too. With the Humidity and the heat crocs or flip flop 🩴is what you should wear man. I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear flip flops 🩴 or crocs or be barefooted 👣 on your video man. I wish I could wear crocs but my feet 🦶 are very very extremely wide & very big at sz15 6E wide with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. Crocs will not fit me because my toes being Evenly straight across & crocs are made for toes that are at a 45° Degrees angle & my toes are Evenly straight across which means that my 4th & 5th toes get crushed & hurt me really really bad. But i have 6 boys that have very wide feet 🦶 as well & 5 of them wear flip flops 🩴 & crocs. My 3rd son John he has a very very extremely wide feet 🦶 just like mine & he can't wear any close toes footwear like me & he wish he could wear crocs. He is just like me we both can't wear shoes , socks , or boots because of how extremely wide our feet 🦶 are & how evenly straight across our toes are. Good video buddy thanks you so much for sharing your videos. I really enjoy watching your videos & watching preacher especially when he is playing in the water to cool down man.

    I seen another story where a guy cut a door in the fake tail gate, but there was a lot of carpentry to add the door.

    I don't know why you guys go through all that trouble and clutter. Why not just put a fan in the pass-through window of your pickup and run the air conditioner in the cab of your truck by idling pushing that cold air with the fan to the back of the truck?

    • @whiskeydogoutdoors
      @whiskeydogoutdoors  2 месяца назад +4

      For several reasons. First the idling of an engine is super inefficient, contributes significantly to the wear and tear of a vehicle’s motor (especially on hemi engines like mine), can be very costly from a fuel perspective, depletes fuel that we need when camping remotely and far away from gas stations, and the truck ac lacks the btu’s necessary to actually cool the bed area during excessive heat. Trust me, I’m always looking for a more simple solution!
