KoRn is freaking amazing!!! There would be no Slipknot without Korn. Corey Taylor has said one of his top metal albums is KoRn's selftitled album. Also some good songs off of Issues you should check out Make Me Bad or Somebody Someone.
Two of there beat songs make me bad somebody some one. Hell yeah
This song really needs the video to be fully appreciated. The video is powerful and was actually directed by Fred Durst.
Notes: Korn is Numetal, infact the term was coined for them. This is Korns 4th Album and it was absolutely massive at the time. During the time this Album dropped they were probably the biggest band in the world.
It was also a continuation of Freak On A Leash
This one takes me right back to high school. So much Korn for you to check out. Smokey's right in that they were massive at the peak of nu metal.
Dude, I was jamming out to Korn all the time in high school! Same with slipknot and lamb of god! Good times, man.
@@ArkaeaFCL3 Korn, Slipknot and Deftones were definitely my high school jams.
That entire album hit different back in 1999. I remember playing this album on repeat over and over and over on my Walkman CD player (without anti-skip of course)
Korn is truly something special and no band before or after them will ever bring it like Korn does! Raw, emotional, heavy, genuine, talented and they love what they do! Love you guys thanks for always being there for me when I needed you!
Love this song! Brings me back to like 99’ lol. *Make Me Bad* is a must
If you do an album review, this entire album goes hard
Make me bad is a classic 👌
@@Themaskplague underrated classic
Feb 4 new album can't wait
on my birthday 2/4/1999
That song definitely kicks serious ass!
Another great one from Issues is "Lets get this party started!". I have a vivid memory of headbanging to tha song, while playing a custom made level on THPS2
Issues - my favorite album.
Korn has had such great longevity, one of my favorite bands still to listen to. I’ve been a fan since ‘98 and their ability to stay relevant is just awesome. JD’s lyrics and vocals are raw, emotional & honest. They kick ass!
One of my favs by then is Got the life. That intro bass is beautiful
Fieldy beatin that thing up in the intro tho
Korn has been a staple in my playlist since high school! So good.
Freak on a Leash, Twisted Transister, Falling Away, Coming Undone.
So damn good!
oh, that snare and bass sound...
Slipknot started out classified as nu metal, but they're alternative metal, Korn is nu metal through and through, and they're considered to be the biggest pioneers of the genre, and everybody that was tuning down from 97 to now owes it to them.
I hear alot Prong when I listen to Korn's early stuff.
If this is hands down your favorite Korn song, check out Korn’s song “Coming Undone”. You’ll love it the most brother. I can tell you right now. And you’re welcome lol… seriously it’s really good song.
I agree, it is as great song!
It's a whole different sound, vibe and style, to be honest. Maybe being a musician makes me too meticulous with this...
@@JackCarver10 I don’t think I’m trying to make an apples to apples comparison of the overall sound of the song. Rather I’m saying, if you like strong hooks There’s songs in their catalog that are stronger in that department than others. Or should I say there’s more of an emphasis on a strong hook then another songs. Some of their songs are thought-provoking. Some of their songs are not. Some of the songs are just powerful sounding. Korn has a lot to offer depends on what you’re looking for. I think “falling away from me” is one of the stronger hooks. So is “coming undone” as is “ twisted transistor”
Ahem..you spelled "It's On" wrong.
@@GravelBone367 Okay, I can't dictate something that I don't see objectively because I'm more of a sound guy than a "structure" guy. I'll give you that. Of course I love progressive music like Tool and such, but KoRn for me are all about the sound and feel of it. Just my own taste. Guess I don't have a say in this discussion.
The way he writes about mental illness is 100% spot on. He can relate things that people with mental issues can never articulate.
They opened with this song at Rockville 2019 I believe, and the crowd went absolutely BANANAS!!
Classic KORN!! This takes me back fellas!!
There’s a lot to check out, I hope you keep on the Korn train because it’s a long journey 👍🏻🔥
ROTTING IN VAIN, that’s one of my favs
Please check this one out, it’s a banger!!!!
KORN IS THE CHIT!! BEST BAND EVER!! GLAD YOU FINALLY GOT TO THIS ONE...AWESOME!!
🤙🤘🏼🤘🏼🤙🤘🏼🤘🏼🤙
if you go by the music video to this song it is marked as a sequal song to korns massive hit song "freak on a leash " from the follow the leader album
So crazy. In my mind I still consider the "issues" album new Korn lmao. I was 19 and in the US Navy when it was released. I had just arrived at base from my A school and didn't know anyone yet, so I just jammed this album all the time.
HELL yeah KoRn! Thank you!
I saw these guys when I was 13 or 14 back in 2000 during this tour. Good times.
Ese Rios originally came out as papi chulo but when they found out his name meant pimp daddy they made him change it. Attitude era at it's finest
All I hear in the final chorus when falling away from me is being said behind is "Paul, go away. Get off me"
It's cool
love korn!.. never gets old..talented guys. thnx.
I super excited for Korn's new album that's coming out on February 4th 2022. 😁🤘
Gotta love Korn
Good morning from New England...I've seen KORN many times including 2019's HELLFEST in HARTFORD CONNECTICUT and once again they rocked!!! Back in 1995 I saw KORN in Tucson Arizona with NO DOUBT and the headliner was that British band BUSH..I walked in late and KORN was playing the song Faggot..I stopped in my tracks cause along with the heavy lyrics the fkn music was like nothing I'd heard before. MUNKY AND HEAD were doing things on the guitars no had done prior and DAVID the drummer brought such a hip hop style of drumming that FEILDY locked into in a major way...Great pick guys...Peace from the Northeast..NO HATERS PLEASE IM NOT HOMOPHOBIC IM JUST RELAYING WHAT I SAW AND HEARD...MY DAUGHTER IS GAY SO HATERS NEED NOT APPLY..THX
This was the first video I ever saw on MTV2 coming home from school one day 🤘🏻🤘🏻.. Remember the black Box!!!
Hollywood’s creepy monster imitation was hilarious. I agree with the suggestions other Trash Talkers made below. Early Korn appeals to me more than the more current stuff, but “Twisted Transistor” is a good later track.
Twister transistor surely can’t count as “later stuff” anymore , it came out like 17 years ago…. Which is nuts as I can remember that video coming out like it was yesterday 😅
🦋I'm Definitely Here For This One! I Own All Their Discography.
This is Also A Top Fav. of Mine.
I flirt with suicide
Sometimes kill the pain
I can't always say
"It's gonna be better tomorrow"
Falling away from me...The Lyrics Gets Me Every time... Great Reaction Guys! Twisted Transistor, Coming Undone, Beg For Me Or Let's Get This Party Started Would Be Nice To See You Guys Reacting To Next By Them. Jonathan Davis & His Iconic Vocals. 👌😏
the whole Queen of the Damned soundtrack is mostly done by JD and MM. Y'all seen the movie. Watch again and jam the music
I know I'm late to the party, but this song is HEAVY, in it's sound and in it's lyrics, holy shit, it really brings you to that darker place, this is one of those musics that I feel it's so powerful that I have to "respect it", I have it in my mind and soul, but I rarely listen to it, cuz it seems to change something around you, or inside.
Yessssss....more Korn....they are incredible 😍 😎👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Marilyn Manson has actually *replaced* Jonathan Davis' own vocals on the song 'Redeemer' by Jonathan Davis from the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. Jon's version was still in the movie, but due to contractual reasons wasn't allowed to appear on its own, like 4 other songs on there. Jonathan Davis then asked five different singers to record his lyrics on his five songs in order to replace his vocals. Among them were Chester Bennington from Linkin Park and Marilyn Manson. I'd like if you could do a "double react" or comparison of both songs to judge which take you liked the most.
Here to stay - for 2002
And Forgotten was released less than a few weeks agao
Essa Rios was a Mexican wrestler who competed in WWF between 1997 and 2001. His manager was Lita. he now wrestles in Luche Libre AAA as Mr Aquila.
KoRn and Manson both contributed a song for the "The Nightmare before Christmas" cover album, which both work fantastically.
You should check out A Different World it's korn with Corey Taylor.
The head banging is the only way to respond to this song!!
I got to know them from South Park. The entire band was featured in a Halloween episode (season 3, ep 10), and they played this song in the end.
The episode was about people being fear mongered into thinking that metal music and celebrating Halloween were the reason for their misfortune in order to turn them into an angry mob against anything they don't understand. It was also a parody episode of Scooby Doo which was hilariously done and had some REALLY dark humor, even to their standards. 100% worth a watch for anyone who hasn't seen it.
Gotta hear Rotting in vein!! ... throw me away... A.D.I.D.A.S... DADDY...Clown... They did one with Corey Taylor of Slipknot called. New world...
Hey, you want a new favourite Korn song? "Somebody someone" track 11 on this album. You're welcome! :)
Guys, you gotta check out the track immediately after this on Issues, Trash! It's a masterpiece. Jon also played the drums on the track!
Issues was the last great Korn album in my eyes. Felt it started to drop after that sadly. But still absolutely amazing live
Have you listened to Serenity of Suffering? So many good tracks.
Have you listened to The Nothing? Bad ass Korn. Back to roots. Also, I would challenge the thought that their music ever "dropped". It evolved. It changed. Some liked it. Some didn't. Artists cannot stick to 1 sound and continually produce new music. The sound gets tweaked to evolve. Who has more different sounds over the years than Korn?
My first favorite Korn song. Hells yeah. Love.
Korn, the masters of the drop bop....
I first heard this song at the end of the Halloween episode of South Park where KoRn embarks on a groovy mystery Scooby-Doo style to investigate pirate ghosts 😅
So whenever I hear this I'll always associate it with cartoon KoRn using their power to turn into various types of corn 😅
Gotta love korn! When their double album set came out with greatest hits i played it on repeat for days! Lol! Loved y'alls reaction! Once again..bangin my head with y'all at 6am..lol.. Thanks guys!❤🤓
The fact that Korn's music can be appreciated by listeners/musicians of all different genres really speaks to their musicianship and longevity. These songs from 20+ years ago still absolutely slap and go so hard to this day. These mfers literally invented and pioneered an entire genre.
They have been consistent in their output and remained true to their core audio aesthetic, while still evolving and developing. I've been a fan since 07', when I was fifteen, so I was a little late to the party, but regardless of how my tastes have developed and fluctuated, I always come back to their discography time and time again.
It's amazing to see them having somewhat of a renaissance at the moment, and to see their music reaching more people.
Jonathan Davis made the music for the movie "Queen of the Damned"; in which he also made a cameo in the movie. The movie also stared the late singer Aliya.
Korn is one of the defining nu metal bands. Slipknot is the natural evolution of the sound.
Next Korn song...Freak on a Leash....you'll love it!
Ahh saw them in 2 Family Values tours in the late 90s. Great shows!💪👊🤘
Guys, your joy is infectious.
see them live few times awesome band drop D heavy sound
i could swear this single debuted on a South Park Halloween episode. it was epic.
Korn the kings of NuMetal ,saw them live in August, great live band
good pick! I hope someone recommend's All in the Family off the Follow the Leader album. great video.
keep on rockin in the freeworld!
Devildriver - The Mountain
Unearth - Endless
my favorite one by them. its a masterpiece
Korn literally created the subgenre of nu metal.
I LOVE Korn .... legendary!!!!!
Korn is my childhood flex back in the day
Anybody else been watching these guys so long that you rap along with them during the intro?😂
I literally died; “he needs a benedryl” 🤣🤣🤣
Marilyn Manson did a cover of one of Jonathan’s songs that was written for the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. In the movie, Jonathan is the singing voice of Lestat……on the soundtrack album, several vocalists covered for Jonathan, including Marilyn Manson and Chester Bennington!
I really like the song "Y'all Want a Single", but not the censored version. I love cursing, especially lots of cursing. F-bombs are such a fantastic literary device. Really! I'm not f@$king kidding.
That's a great song! A fav of mine too!
Y'all wanna single say suck that...suuuck that suck that. 😒🤣
You should react to Jonathan Davis' solo stuff. I reccomend his song "Basic Needs" you guys will enjoy that
KORN is music more for the sphincter and less for the mind
Yall definitely have to check out more korn. 😊💥 Like I would literally do a deep dive in the korn's music. 🤘
Kron making emotional music before emo was a thing, absolute legends
1. It’s spelled Korn or KoЯn
2. Emo started at least 8 years before Korn formed
Ya fellas should check the live version of this song. Live - The Encounter ruclips.net/video/TIlq8G7dPIk/видео.html
awwwwww, missed opportunity. The music videos for Freak on a Leash and Falling Away from Me were connected. be sure to not miss the MV for Twisted Transistor, Ya'll Wanna Single, Got The Life, and Alone I Break. (Personally I love the way they shot "Somebody, Someone" as well). you should just do a two hour long sit in the Korn field for a day. lol!
Korn was my soundrtack through middle school....
Man, I fucking love Korn. Thanks guys, great video. Still the best intro!
their very best...and they gotta lot of great stuff
This is from my favorite album Issues. I've seen this live many times and it never disappoints. Korn has a new album coming out the first week of February! can't wait!
that song is particularly huge because the singer is basically talking about how he was abused/molested when he was younger...super dark, most kids didn't even know back then and were jamming on it like it was some regular hit lol
hence the "beating me down, down into the ground" "it's gonna be better tomorrow" "so i oray go away" etc for example.
Korn was the first nu metal band and there still going and shout out to the gathering what up juggalos WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've always loved Korn, seen them live several times and hope to see them again soon. Gotta watch their videos, they are always great. Yes they are still making music, a new album is out next week.
I learned the opening riff on piano, just so I can walk up to one and play it out to see if anyone notices
Edit: you guys want songs from issues? Let's see, make me bad, somebody someone, make me beg, let's get this parry started, and that's just a good portion of the album
Probably Korns best song imo, this shit never gets old
Lita was the valet for Esa Rios when she first arrived in the WWF.
everyone's talking about how they prefer earlier korn, but current korn is just as good, just different. you can tell jonathan has been through a lot of the stuff he sang about in the earlier days and has grown wiser from it. check out their new singles they just dropped--new album is out on February 4th!
KoRn!
👋🏻😸✌🏻
You gotta check out the official video for this song. It gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up every time I watch it.
When I first heard Korn in '94, nothing sounded like them. To me they created their own genre. Everybody who sounded remotely like them copied Korn or were influenced by Korn
React to Korn's cover of this is Halloween from nightmare before Xmas
This is my favorite Korn song too!
You should react to Korn "Blind" live at woodstock 99. crowd was insane.
13 studio albums, 45 singles & 50 music videos???? How have you not heard of JD, HEAD, MONKEY & ONE OF THE FUNKIEST BASSES FEILDY?
The first Korn album is still my favorite.
Korn and Manson havn't done a song together BUT Jonathan Davis wrote songs for the film Queen of the Damned (which he had members of Korn come in an lay tracks on) In the movie Jonathan Davis does the vocals, but for the official soundtrack release, they had guest vocalists come in and sing for these tracks including Chester Bennington, David Draimen, Wayne Static and our friend Marilyn Manson did vocals for the song Redeemer.
So techincally not, BUT it might as well be a Korn/Manson collab
I love Korn. They’ve got lots of great songs. Still haven’t seen them live yet though. Maybe once Fieldy(bass player) recovers and returns I’ll be able to go to a show. Gotta see as many of the OG’s as possible(from the band and the genre)🤘🤘🤘#StillAFreak
Aww what happened to Fieldy??
saw them at download in 2016 and thought they were superb.
Coming Undone is a must🤟 The video is a must!🔥
Esse Rios aka Mr Aguilar aka Papi Chulo He was a light heavyweight champion and was basically if you went by his look a Mexican HBK. And yes he was paired with Lita when she first came in to give him a mouthpiece but she got over far more than he did then joined with her friends the Hardy’s after they saved her from one of his outbursts before she split from him
Korn was like the first Goth Band All their fans wore black finger nails and black every thing!!! They all wanted to Die 😂
Great song great reaction always look forward to your reactions so area or by the way coin was my soundtrack for my Angry pissed-off attitude as a teenager
Somebody Someone, Make Me Bad, Right Now..
The only, ONLY, band I accept to cover my beloved Pink Floyd! Their version of another brick in the wall freaking rocks!!!!!!!!!
Apart from Tool, I wasn’t listening to much metal anymore back in the day (I grew up on the big three). I heard the KoRn self titled album and I fucking jumped right back into metal for the first time in years. That re-born love hasn’t died in the last 25 or whatever years.
Korn has a new album that comes out Feb. 4th 2022 they have already released two songs from it but I really dig them both I think they're both fire
