    Excellent review. LG video front and rear cameras win overall. Samsung slightly better dynamic range. The red tint added to post processing with Samsung looks nicer for skin color as well as bluer/purply skies. But after a while I start to fall back on LG's flat none processed look as it appears to show more crispy clear details all around.

LG V series are the most underrated smartphones out.. Great comparison. But in general I feel that camera comparison these days with how flagship are, are sort of pointless because all will take great pictures, especially day time. A lot of what manufacturer do to differentiate themselves from others is by putting gimmick software on it. Most pictures can be altered later anyway. But based on this comparison, I like both. There are pictures I like from LG and there are others I like from Samsung. Most time a person have to pixel peek to find any differences.

      @@GrantLikesTech Actually it is. But based on your comparison, I like the V50 better. I have always like LG phones. It is so underrated and big you tubers fail to give it the coverage it deserve. I had at one time own the pixel 3, v40, and the s10 plus. I like all 3 pictures quality. I will not say how is the winner because there are pictures I like on each phones better depending on the scene and the lightning. But your V50 takes great pictures and videos. I take the V50 just because of that. But of course people will buy Samsung just because.

    It's interesting that the audio recorded on the Note 10+ was really good until you started zooming in which activated the Zoom In Audio but the audio continued to sound muffled and your voice sounded distant even though you zoomed back out, as if there's something with the software that is preventing the Zoom In Audio from returning to normal. I wonder if Samsung is aware of this and can fix it.

    For me its a toss up. Sure note 10 plus had some better wide angles but the sun light on note 10 plus was grainy. Both have some nice cams.

    I prefer the dynamic range of the Note 10 but the depth of field on close ups goes to the LG. I need faster and more accurate focus so gotta go with the Note 10. The V50 has better sound I agree. Better detail front cam V50 but at age 68 I don't need better detail of my mug. Great review. Very informative. You did not mention price difference did you? I don't know the LG price but it's gotta be lower than the Note 10. Not into 10x zoom at all and don't think many are so I think showing a 2x optical zoom comparo would have been better.
    Edit: I see the LG costs about half as much! That's quite a price difference for something that can go toe to toe with the Note 10 like it did. Makes me reconsider my Note 10 order!
    Edit: the V50 notch? Ok I'm happy with the Note 10.

    • @GrantLikesTech
      @GrantLikesTech  5 лет назад +1

      Wow, great breakdown. I'm not into selfies, so I know what you mean. The prices on both these are dropping and there will always be deals if you lookout. I don't mind the v50 notch, but the Note 10 design is definitely sleeker.

    remember LG v50 have manual video. for videography profesional.

    audio record on phone LG the best.
    but. record video always use mic clip TRRS for phone

    • @GrantLikesTech
      @GrantLikesTech  5 лет назад

      Yup, LG has a lot of flexibility with manual controls and you can use 3rd party software and hardware to enhance video recording, but I like to show how phones perform in auto as that's how the majority of people will use them, including myself. If I had more time I'd like to do versions of this showing off the best they could do with software like Filmic and external mics, etc.

    Wonderful comparison video! I like things about both. I noticed a huge color shift in the LG50 while it was recording in 4K. The sky was bright turquoise and the other colors looked very unnatural. I watched this on an S10+ so maybe that made it look weird? But the sky in 1080p modes on the LG50 looked more subtle than the Note 10+ and all of a sudden BOOM super saturated in 4K. Both are outstanding phones overall but I loved the LG50's wide angle on the front Cam and the wide angle rear cam on the Note 10+. Thanks for another excellent video, Grant!
