These are two really good smartphone with some great cameras, however I am really feeling the V50 in a lot of these head to head comparisons even tho the V50 had that lazy eye focus a couple of time it still delivers a more pleasing image than the Note 10 Plus do when it does focus on the subject. This is a very interesting camera comparison I have to say. It seems Samsung do still have that skin smoothing effect going on as well as boosting the colours. But considering it's up against a top of the range LG, it's doing very well Great video 👍🏻

Does the V50 use the telephoto or a different lens for portrait mode shots? It seems like the focal length is a little different than the Note 10+ especially at 4:00.

Excellent review. LG video front and rear cameras win overall. Samsung slightly better dynamic range. The red tint added to post processing with Samsung looks nicer for skin color as well as bluer/purply skies. But after a while I start to fall back on LG's flat none processed look as it appears to show more crispy clear details all around.

Im using both these phones at the moment for three months now. While note 10+ is a beast, ill go with LG as a daily driver. I preffer LGs camera , audio (earphones) and screen is more natural. One thing LG cant beat note 10 are the speakers.
Note 10+ impressed me far more than I expected it to, but the V50 has the quad DAC so the camera could have been 2 megapixel and I'd still choose the LG.
It's interesting that the audio recorded on the Note 10+ was really good until you started zooming in which activated the Zoom In Audio but the audio continued to sound muffled and your voice sounded distant even though you zoomed back out, as if there's something with the software that is preventing the Zoom In Audio from returning to normal. I wonder if Samsung is aware of this and can fix it.
Hmmm, I definitely noticed it got muffled when I zoomed in as expected, but didn't notice it stayed like that. Need to go back and check again. Thanks for pointing that out.
