Is that chicken coop made from shipping pallets? Where did you get the wood?
They got them from the Ace hardware and Safeway down the road for free.
How come no finishing the wood to protect from mold?
You guys are awesome, and all will be rewarding at the end! Go for it
How do you guys plan to grow food with the pigs? What yr doing is amazing by the way ! Am considering off-grid living on big island myself
Hey, I know that guy! Glad to see you’re doing well Brennan!
That's so cool
snails were always crawling around my camp & leave their slim. hated that. & the humidity was just too much for me
MN boy here too! Just got my land in HA and now the work begins. Love the vid guys!
I would say you in 2 months you've accomplished quite a bit. Nice job guys.
Cool to this off grid set up! Thanks for sharing!
Pehea kakau? You still out there? You doing okay?
What kind of luck have you had with using the goats to clear land you want to use? I have 6 acres I'm moving back to in December. I plan on using goats and electric fence to have them clear all the brush.
Some over the summer, but they do not do well in the rain and cold in volcano
Very inspiring video. Did you clear a walking path yourself? Or did you hire someone? I love the red cinder walkway against the blackness of the lava rock along the sides. Beautiful combination.
They guys cleaned the path by hand. Thanks for the comments - aloha from Hawaii
Totally intrigued!!! A few questions for Chris and Brennan - did they buy the land? was it cheap? and uhmmm where do they use the toilet (number 2)?? Do they have a cooler for refrigerated foods? I live on Oahu and I'll stick to my comfy house but I want to live vicariously through those guys (can we get updates?) Love your channel BTW and you have a new subscriber!
Chris’s dad owns the land and he is looking for his own piece. Land inn fern forest is some of the cheapest in HI. 2 is in a composting bucket. They have a fridge running on solar. Hope to have new videos soon - my laptop died. Aloha
@@Mauirunner hey bro I'm down in the fern forest. I got a few questions can you dm me IG:uniicorndre thanks bro
Pre treat your bamboo with borax and it will last a long time.
The shower should be half indoor half outdoor!! You’d love it
This may sound like a stupid question, but do you guys get internet out there? I ask because I want to live this lifestyle but I work from home and need to be online for about 8 hours a day
A valid question. We have connectivity but not that strong but good enough for videos and online classes. We are on the list for starlink.
But what about the volcanoe?
Congrats guys. Place looks great!
Wuddup Chris, 🤙
Tyler from Canterbury.
Thought you looked Familiar
WOW small world. Aloha from Minnesota✌
How much did you pay for the land? What are you eating? How much money is going out?
Any where from15k to 50k. They do construction work from time to time.
What’s up fellow midwesterner’s!! Hope to see y’all on our off grid journey we’re selling it all and leaving Wisconsin and heading to the big island
do these guys have there own channel?
They have been taking about it and I have been suggesting it to them. I am working on another film on them and will have it up soon. Aloha

@@Mauirunner That's a problem then. How are you supposed to work?
I feel like if they lived near the ocean it would be no mosquitoes bugs.
You would be wrong.
