2022 Anvil Jaw Kickoff - Lake Degray

Follow along as I get a very unique bite at Lake Degray in EARLY March during the Anvil Jaw Kickoff event in 2022. Bite was finicky and water temp was between 51-55 degrees.

I did catch some on a rock crawler at Ouachita but not here. Only crankbait fish I caught all day was on an Arkie 350 Red Craw

This is my favorite lake to fish as I live only about an hour from there. I often pull my 5th wheel and bass boat for a week at a time. Would really like to know the time of month, water temp, depth, lure type, color and size you are using. Come on man give up the information pertinent to your fellow bass fisherman LOL.

Hey bud. So this particular tourney I was fishing primarily up the river throwing a June bug Finesse TRD on transition banks. Water temp was about 55-56. Depth ranged from 2’ all the way to 10’. I don’t have many secrets! Haha

@@JaretRushingFishing fished a norfork tornament a couple weeks ago and that was what worked for me. Fished lake russell in SC with some friends this past week before the classic those spots over there were eating they spinner bait. It was hard to leave. Haha

Sorry for the delayed reply man. I throw a Blacks Widow Maker because he distributed to one of my sponsors (Kayak Obsessions Bait and Tackle in Sheridan, AR). It depends on water clarity for what type of plastic I throw bit I’ve used everything from Arkie Twirl-Tail grubs to Kietech swimbaits
